Qiao Rui paused, looking at the two people blocking her way. They were dressed in dark suits, uniformly adorned. It seed they were from so company.
Must be from the Lin Family then. They found really quickly, very efficient.
Qiao Rui smiled faintly and said, "Why should I go with you?"
The two people paused for a mont, clearly sensing that although Qiao Rui was smiling, there was a chilling aura about her.
"Miss Qiao, our Elder Lin wants to see you," the visitor reiterated.
Indeed, they were sent by the old man from the Lin Family.
Qiao Rui smiled again faintly, "I don’t have the ti. If Elder Lin wants to see , he should schedule an appointnt with my assistant first."
"Miss Qiao, we’re sincerely inviting you. If you’re unwilling to co with us, don’t bla us for getting physical."
"Oh, really?" Qiao Rui’s voice was calm, her tone unhurried as she looked at them with indifference, "If you want to get physical with , alright, let’s stretch our muscles."
The two exchanged a glance, their expressions cooled, "Then don’t bla us for being rude."
With that, the two prepared to grab Qiao Rui and leave.
But in an instant, just as they were about to grab Qiao Rui’s arms, she quickly evaded.
The two were caught off guard, seemingly not expecting Qiao Rui’s agility in dodging.
"Miss Qiao, impressive skills," one of them remarked, admiringly.
Qiao Rui acted as if she hadn’t heard them, her smile unwavering, her proud deanor full of confidence. "Trying to catch , you’re still a bit lacking. Go back and tell Elder Lin, if he spits out what he’s eaten, everything will be negotiable."
The two exchanged another glance, sowhat unwillingly, but Qiao Rui’s swift dodge just now made them understand her prowess. However, they couldn’t return empty-handed.
If they didn’t bring her back, the old man would definitely be angry.
The two didn’t leave, attacking Qiao Rui once more.
Qiao Rui dodged again, and raising her foot, she kicked towards one of them, not expecting that the person would be agile enough to dodge it.
"Being able to dodge my attack, you’re pretty good too." Qiao Rui chuckled, a hint of seriousness entering her bright eyes.
Her fist swiftly aid at the person’s neck, but just as he was about to block, she suddenly lowered it, striking at his chest.
The opponent didn’t expect the feint, and couldn’t block in ti, taking a heavy punch to the chest.
"Ugh!" The opponent let out a muffled grunt and swiftly countered.
The opponent fought back desperately, but even with a strong attack, Qiao Rui bizarrely dodged it.
The three fought fiercely, looking very intense.
However, anyone with keen eyes could see at a glance that Qiao Rui had the upper hand.
In less than three minutes, the two opponents were left with bruised and swollen faces by Qiao Rui.
Qiao Rui didn’t want to waste more ti. After throwing one to the ground, the other was so frightened he stepped back, his expression shocked.
Qiao Rui was amused by his reaction and said, "Little brother, your skills aren’t bad. It’s a pity you’re working for the Lin Family; you probably don’t have much of a future."
The person was also startled, looking at Qiao Rui in surprise.
At this mont, Pei Liyan hurried over.
Earlier in the car, he was almost anxious to death.
Because a girl fighting two n here imdiately caused a traffic jam.
People on the road were all looking this way.
Pei Liyan couldn’t care less, leaving his car and coming down. Seeing Qiao Rui unhard, he breathed a sigh of relief, "Who are they?"
"They’re from the Lin Family," Qiao Rui said. "Elder Lin invited over, sent them here, and I didn’t have ti, so they tried to drag away."
Pei Liyan frowned, glanced at the two on the ground, and said in a deep voice, "Go back and tell Elder Lin, Qiao Rui is my person. If he dares to move, the Lin Family will pay the price!"
The two were thoroughly frightened.
They didn’t expect the always composed Pei Liyan to say such words.
They imdiately left to report back.
On this side, Pei Liyan grabbed Qiao Rui’s hand, checked her over, and then asked. "Are you hurt?"
"No," Qiao Rui said, "just left them with bruised and swollen faces."
Pei Liyan sighed helplessly, "Why did you co out alone?"
"Hiding from Elder Lin," Qiao Rui said. "Didn’t expect to hide from him but still be found by his people."
"You!" Pei Liyan was much relieved knowing she was well, leading her to the car.
At this mont, his car, due to causing a traffic jam, had been given a ticket.
When Qiao Rui saw it, she couldn’t help but tease, "Mr. Pei, you’re a very impressive man. How could you block traffic?"
"It was because you were surrounded, I was worried," Pei Liyan collected the ticket, put Qiao Rui in the car, and also got in, starting the car and leaving.
"Then I should thank you for being so worried about ," Qiao Rui joked with a smile.
Pei Liyan said, "From now on, be more careful, especially not to go out alone recently, understand?"
"Your advice makes sense," Qiao Rui nodded seriously. "Recently, I’ve offended quite a few people. Walking too many dark roads will eventually et ghosts."
"The Lin Family, ruthless," Pei Liyan reiterated, "Did you strike them?"
"They were too greedy, took too much from the Qiao Family, they have to spit it out," Qiao Rui didn’t care about the Lin Family.
Seeing her attitude, Pei Liyan knew she didn’t take it seriously and reminded again, "The Lin Family isn’t like your aunt, your aunt, although greedy, doesn’t have this kind of cunning. Lin Qingshi is different, ruthless."
"I’ve already learned," Qiao Rui said, "His son Lin Tiancheng is even more ruthless, with two lives on his hands."
Pei Liyan paused, "You know about this too?"
"Oh, you know too, Mr. Pei, how capable," Qiao Rui raised her eyebrows.
"It’s no secret," Pei Liyan said in a deep voice. "Lin Tiancheng indeed killed two people in his early years, and the matter was suppressed by the elder with money. It hasn’t been ntioned over the years, mostly due to the face of the Qiao and Lin families, and mainly because of the Lin Family’s ruthless actions, so many people avoid ntioning it."
Qiao Rui turned to look at Pei Liyan, tilting her head, staring at him intently.
Pei Liyan smiled slightly and asked, "Why are you looking at like that?"
"It’s a pity for those who died, never resting in peace," Qiao Rui said.
Pei Liyan nodded, "Indeed, but in those years, Elder Lin paid the deceased’s families five tis the market price to silence them, making the incident appear as an accident."
"Really?" Qiao Rui snorted softly, her tone containing deep skepticism.
Pei Liyan chuckled lightly, "What’s wrong? You seem dismissive."
"Yes," Qiao Rui said, "The truth I know isn’t like that."
