Liu Garden.
Qi Yun received a call from Huang Ying and imdiately answered.
"Qi Yun, the Young Master has issued an order. Soone needs to impersonate her—urgently. Pei Liyan is about to arrive at Liu Garden."
"Have you seen the Young Master?" Qi Yun asked.
"Yes, just now in the suite. She requested room service. I slipped upstairs and received her hint—Pei Liyan is suspicious of her."
"I’ll arrange it right away." Qi Yun’s expression turned serious. "Don’t worry, the task will be completed without fail."
"Alright." Huang Ying advised, "Pei Liyan is not an ordinary person. Be careful not to expose yourselves. Best to keep sowhat of a distance."
"Understood," Qi Yun replied.
After hanging up, Qi Yun imdiately inford Jiang Jinfeng.
Jiang Jinfeng quickly brought the person over.
Qi Yun took one look and was startled—this person looked exactly like Ruirui.
She jumped in surprise. "Y-Young Master?"
The woman identical to Ruirui smiled faintly and said, "Qi Yun, seeing your reaction, I can finally relax. Looks like I really resemble Ruirui."
"Sister Yin?" Qi Yun called out uncertainly.
Sister Yin laughed. "It’s . Though the voice isn’t quite right."
"That’s fine. Just exude a strong presence; you don’t need to say much else," Jiang Jinfeng instructed. "Sister Yin, be confident in yourself."
Sister Yin nodded.
"Sister Yin, has your body recovered?" Qi Yun stepped forward and held Sister Yin’s hand with excitent.
Sister Yin had suffered an accident and was bedridden for a year. After recovering, she lost so mories and had spent the last two years focusing on regaining her physical strength. Now, she was finally able to co out.
Qi Yun was thrilled.
"I’ve recovered," Sister Yin said with a smile, the tone gentle, "I’ve just forgotten a few things and can’t seem to recall them. Other than that, everything is fine."
"That’s great," Qi Yun nodded earnestly. "It’s a relief to see you back to health."
Just then, a report ca from outside: "President Jiang, Miss Qi, Pei Liyan has arrived."
Qi Yun and Jiang Jinfeng exchanged glances. Qi Yun said, "Got it. The Young Master is here too. Let’s et in the courtyard."
"Understood!" The person at the door answered even more respectfully.
Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun simultaneously looked at Sister Yin. "Let’s go. Just show yourself briefly outside, then return inside. I’ll handle the rest. Rember to display Ruirui’s usual arrogance."
"Understood," Sister Yin took a deep breath.
Outside.
Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun stepped out first.
Sister Yin followed closely behind.
Pei Liyan drove up to Liu Garden—this ti, he’d arrived alone, without even a driver.
Standing at the entrance of Liu Garden, he glanced at Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun, then at the woman behind them.
Ruirui?
Pei Liyan’s eyes narrowed, his expression montarily startled.
How could she be here?
Had his instincts been wrong all along?
Pei Liyan’s gaze remained sharp as it locked onto the woman behind Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun.
As if by chance, she looked back at him. Their gazes connected mid-air.
When Sister Yin t the man’s eagle-like eyes, she froze in place. His stare was too piercing.
Instinctively, she wanted to look away but suddenly rembered—the Young Master would never react like this.
So, Sister Yin forced herself to suppress the fear rising within and lifted her gaze to et the man’s directly.
This small motion—almost imperceptible—brought a slight smile to Pei Liyan’s lips.
He said, "I’ve heard that my people have been detained here at Liu Garden. I hope Boss Ruirui can be forgiving and let them go."
"Mr. Pei." Sister Yin altered her voice slightly, trying to sound as much like Ruirui as possible. Still, she was not the Young Master; her tone was noticeably off and could only approximate eighty percent resemblance. "Your people ca to take Qi Yun away from . I don’t understand the reasoning behind that."
Upon hearing her voice, Pei Liyan paused slightly, squinting as he studied the woman in front of him.
"Your voice has changed?" Pei Liyan suddenly chuckled, the corners of his mouth curving into a sharp arc.
All three were visibly startled.
Luckily, Sister Yin remained composed, returning his smile. "A little hoarseness from a sore throat—didn’t expect Mr. Pei to notice this so quickly."
"Of course. How could I ever forget your voice?" Pei Liyan smiled faintly, stepping closer.
Sister Yin stood firm, her chin slightly raised, exuding sheer arrogance. She didn’t reply but wore an expression that said his tricks wouldn’t work on her.
Seeing her silence, Pei Liyan raised his brows slightly. "Boss Ruirui, might I have a word in private?"
Sister Yin understood clearly—he was trying to lure her in. She raised her brows as well, chuckled softly, and shook her head. "That’s unnecessary. Last ti we spoke, Mr. Pei’s actions disappointed greatly."
Recalling their previous encounter, Pei Liyan paused briefly.
Jiang Jinfeng stepped in at the right mont, saying, "President Pei, your people are indeed in Liu Garden. Why don’t you take them away quickly? Particularly your assistant Fang—that poor guy’s face has been battered blue and needs dical attention."
"What happened to Fang Mo?" Pei Liyan’s gaze instantly sharpened as it turned to Jiang Jinfeng.
"You might want to ask your assistant directly," Jiang Jinfeng responded with a heavy tone. "He’s the one responsible for putting Muyu in the hospital."
Pei Liyan froze, a flash of icy determination streaking through his eyes. It happened so quickly, it almost seed like an illusion.
"President Jiang, if you have sothing to say, why not be frank? Half-truths seem to be your style, don’t they?"
"It’s not convenient to say more," Jiang Jinfeng replied.
Sister Yin added, "Mr. Pei, kindly take your people and leave. I have other matters to attend to. I trust this won’t happen again."
Pei Liyan hesitated, then smiled faintly. "In such a hurry to avoid ?"
Sister Yin stopped in her tracks, turned slightly, and smiled. "Indeed. Mr. Pei, as a married man, it’s safer for to keep as much distance as possible."
"And you think you can keep avoiding ?" Pei Liyan chuckled softly, stepping forward.
Jiang Jinfeng imdiately moved to block his path.
The atmosphere grew tense, as though drawn taut by invisible threads.
Jiang Jinfeng extended a hand in a gesture of invitation. "Mr. Pei, please take your n and leave."
A group of seven or eight individuals were carried out one by one.
Each of them looked like a corpse.
Pei Liyan observed them, realizing Jiang Jinfeng wanted him to quickly remove them.
The urgency to rush this matter without settling scores—what could be the ulterior motive?
Pei Liyan was no fool. He carefully noted that this "Ruirui" gave off a completely different impression. She lacked her usual spiritual energy and cleverness; though she remained aloof, her temperant had changed dramatically.
Pei Liyan’s eyes lingered on them once more. Lu Heming and Fang Mo lay sprawled on the ground, miserably defeated.
This ti, they had utterly failed.
Pei Liyan wasn’t hasty. His gaze remained fixed on Ruirui.
This move made Qi Yun and Jiang Jinfeng both tense—they couldn’t guess his intentions.
"I’ll take my n with , of course. But Ruirui—I have one more matter I need to confirm with you."
As his words ended, Pei Liyan swiftly dodged Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun, reaching directly for Ruirui.
