Elder Qiao twisted his face in anger, fuming, "Nonsense, not even in the old society, monogamy, how can you be so reckless?"
A hint of contempt flickered in Qiao Rui’s eyes as she spoke, "I thought Grandfather was afraid I’d be at a disadvantage and wanted to send over the cousin sisters to protect ."
"You really are naive," Elder Qiao suddenly sighed. "Since that’s the case, and you have this in mind, then let your second cousin sister go back with you to Pei Liyan’s place."
Surprise flickered in Qiao Rui’s eyes.
She hadn’t expected Elder Qiao to make such an arrangent.
She didn’t decline, nodding and saying, "Alright, I’ll take my second cousin sister back with after lunch."
Elder Qiao had no more desire to deal with her.

Qiao Yufei, upon hearing that Grandfather had allowed her to go back with Qiao Rui to Pei Liyan’s place, could hardly contain her excitent.

Her tone was even a bit more polite, "What ti does Pei Liyan get off work?"
"I don’t know," Qiao Rui continued eating her ribs, glanced at her, and said, "If you want to know, you can go and ask him."
Qiao Yufei chuckled, "Well, he’d probably be off by 5:30 at the latest. After lunch, I’ll take you to buy so clothes. We should arrive at his place before four."

Qiao Rui sighed internally. Her second cousin sister’s desire for power had truly driven her mad; she was even willing to accept a sister serving the sa husband.

Upon hearing this, Qiao Yufei paused, imdiately changing her attitude, "I’m sorry, Mrs. Feng, I speak my mind, please don’t take it to heart."
Mrs. Feng forced a smile, "I wouldn’t dare, Second Miss Qiao, but Mr. Pei had already stated, whether you can stay here or not, it requires his consent."
Qiao Yufei paused again, looked at Mrs. Feng’s serious expression, hesitated, and then said, "I see, let’s talk about it when he returns."
