Qiao Rui suddenly discovered that Pei Liyan had an exceptional ntal resilience; he could brazenly shop for couple’s supplies with her.

Qiao Rui glanced at the shopping cart and imdiately moved away, keeping her distance.
Pei Liyan glanced at her, his eyes twinkling, and with a hooked lip, he said loudly, "You don’t need to stay so far away."
Qiao Rui turned her head and gave him a look, "What do you need that for?"
Pushing the shopping cart, Pei Liyan followed behind with his tall fra, unhurriedly, "It’s better to be prepared for any eventuality. We should have these things at ho. I like being prepared, to have it handy when needed, not scrambling to find it when required."
Qiao Rui’s eyes widened, "You are simply... distorting the facts."
Pei Liyan raised his eyebrows, his features serene as he smiled at her, "What facts can be distorted?"
Qiao Rui, a bit annoyed, said, "You really overturn everything I knew about you."
Pei Liyan knew he had indeed acted out of line and didn’t mind her saying so, but continued with a half-smile, "Married couples usually have these kinds of supplies on hand for ergency needs."
Flushed, Qiao Rui responded grumpily, "Right, right, you’re correct, you are a prepared person, happy now?"
"Thanks for the complint."
"I’m not complinting you, I’m speechless, really."
Pei Liyan took it lightly, smiling, "You should be thankful to ; it’s out of respect and protection for you that I prepare these things!"
Qiao Rui paused, suddenly grasping his point.
Pei Liyan continued, "After all, if these aren’t prepared, it might be dangerous, and in those tis, won end up getting hurt."
Qiao Rui responded with a sarcastic laughter, "That’s still the n causing trouble, forcing won to suffer."
Pei Liyan replied calmly, "That’s why I prepare these things, to avoid not having them when needed, which would hurt you the most."
Qiao Rui frowned at him, "It all cos back to you being right, when clearly you’re the one with ill intentions."
He laughed openly, candidly stating, "Having a marital duty with my own wife isn’t too much, is it?"
Qiao Rui was genuinely stumped by his counter, feeling that if the conversation went on, she would be the loser.
But she still felt slightly upset and retorted, "n are selfish. When they want sothing, they use all ans and sches; when they don’t, they disregard it even if it’s offered on a platter."
Pei Liyan: "......"
"Have the guts to never touch in your entire life." Qiao Rui scoffed again.
Pei Liyan: "....."
"If you can stay away from for life, I’ll respect you as a real man."
Pei Liyan snorted, "That’s definitely not a real man, that would be a Grand Steward."
Qiao Rui was taken aback by his words, her face turning red instantaneously.
"Whether I’m a real man, you’d know only after experiencing it, not by hearsay." Pei Liyan said, then continued pushing the cart forward, picking out items as he walked.
Qiao Rui’s mind buzzed; how could he be so shaless?

As Pei Liyan walked, he calmly spoke, "We are already married, and currently, I’m quite interested in you. You’ve successfully piqued my interest. Don’t try to reject , I only grow stronger from setbacks. If you doubt, feel free to challenge and see."
Qiao Rui was dumbfounded. "Talking like this, so unreasonable, it’s just domineering."
Pei Liyan smiled faintly, "Don’t won like dominant n? If I were gentler, wouldn’t you think I’m effeminate?"
Qiao Rui was left speechless.
"Don’t worry, even if every man in the world becos effeminate, Pei Liyan will not be one of them."
"Of course," Pei Liyan said blandly, "I’m very clear about gender roles."
Qiao Rui chuckled, "Can’t you put it less bluntly?"
Pei Liyan, pushing the cart alongside her, turned his head to look at her, "If I’m too subtle, I fear you won’t understand."
"I won’t," Qiao Rui indignantly defended herself.
Pei Liyan smiled softly, his gaze deep, "Then have you decided to join in consuming these two boxes of items?"
Qiao Rui imdiately realized she had fallen into his trap.
She wasn’t going to let herself be led down that path by him.
Qiao Rui countered, "Are you buying this not to share with , but to use with another woman?"
Pei Liyan paused, then saw her cleverness.
He laughed, affectionately praising, "Clever girl."
Qiao Rui snorted, "You still haven’t answered my question."
"Let’s keep it at ho, what do you think?"
"Keeping it at ho doesn’t necessarily an with ." Qiao Rui turned away, feeling the conversation was a bit too much, and decided to end it. "I just saw so snacks I like, I’m going to buy those."
Pei Liyan followed her.
Qiao Rui dumped chips, dairy slices, and cookies into the shopping cart.
Those items quickly covered the two boxes of couple’s supplies.
Qiao Rui finally felt less embarrassed.
Of course, after so bantering, the mood wasn’t too bad.
"What are you eating?" Qiao Rui, holding her favorite snacks, rembered Pei Liyan hadn’t picked anything and asked, "Shall I choose for you?"
"Whatever you like." Pei Liyan never ate snacks; eating them today in the car was just a whim. "Go with your taste."
"Alright." Qiao Rui, browsing at the shelf, suddenly saw a well-known snack brand that she had represented as Rui Qing.
Her photo from her ti as Rui Qing was still on it.
Beautiful, almost unreal.
Even she felt she looked gorgeous.
After a hesitation, Qiao Rui grabbed a few packs and threw them into the cart.
Pei Liyan looked down, saw Rui Qing’s face, and frowned; then, looking at Qiao Rui, he spoke sternly, "Can we change the brand?"
Qiao Rui paused, asked in return, "What’s wrong?"
Pei Liyan’s expression sullen, he glanced at the snacks in the cart. "Let’s not get this brand."
"The one represented by Rui Qing?" Qiao Rui looked at him, direct and questioning.
Pei Liyan didn’t speak, just coldly watched Qiao Rui, suspecting she might have chosen that brand intentionally to irritate him.
Qiao Rui hadn’t expected such a strong reaction, seeing his handso face turn dark and moody, a brooding atmosphere engulfing him.
She was exasperated.
"Mr. Pei, just because of your scandal with Rui Qing, shouldn’t an I can’t have the right to eat this snack."
"Are you sure you want to eat it, and it’s not for any other reason?" Pei Liyan asked bluntly in return.
"For any other reason?" Qiao Rui scoffed, "You tell why?"
"To tornt , maybe!" Pei Liyan’s tone was firm.
Qiao Rui paused, embarrassnt and unease rushing in.
The unexplainable emotion in her heart flared up, forcing her to deny, "How could it be?"
"Mommy, Mommy!" Suddenly, from nowhere, a little bundle ran up and hugged Qiao Rui’s legs, "I found Mommy!"
