Morning
When Yuwei woke up, Zijing had already left to catch a schedule.
She still had a brand event in the afternoon.
Lv Fangxin, who disliked bothering her assistant, bought breakfast at a nearby breakfast shop.
Even though she wore a mask and hat, her tall figure and unmistakable aura still turned heads.
A young man even asked for her WeChat number, scaring her into running off after buying her food.
"Fangxin, why are you up so early to get breakfast today?" Yuwei yawned, dressed in pajamas as she ca downstairs.
"When am I not hardworking! I’m a busy little bee." Lv Fangxin cheerfully set out the bowls and chopsticks.
"You bought so much—how are we supposed to eat all this? There are only three of us, right?"
"Three? Isn’t it seven people?"
"The others took a red-eye flight for their schedules. Didn’t you check the group chat?" Yuwei sounded exasperated.
"I went to bed early last night." Lv Fangxin pouted, looking a little disappointed.
"Since they don’t get to enjoy this, let’s eat all of it ourselves."
"Haha!" Lv Fangxin finally smiled brightly.
Just then, Lai Ruoxuan, wearing rabbit ear headbands, ca down from upstairs.
"Oh my god! Crystal shrimp dumplings, stir-fried beef noodles, clay pot porridge..."
Seeing Qiqi rush downstairs, Lv Fangxin couldn’t help but laugh.
"There’s also boat-style congee, red rice rolls! Did you guys receive my dream transmission last night?"
"Not —it’s all from Fangxin. She even set the table."
"Fangxin, you’re the best! I’m going to get fat because of you!"
"Don’t get fat, or you’ll turn into a atball." Lv Fangxin picked up a roasted peanut with her chopsticks.
Qiqi made a funny face, stuck her tongue out, and grabbed a shrimp dumpling with her chopsticks to take a bite.
Looking at the table full of food, Yuwei felt conflicted—it didn’t seem very healthy.
They’d reached a point where their eating and shopping had no limits.
The money flowed in too fast.
One gig, and a few days later, tens of thousands of earnings.
As for Lv Fangxin, she easily commanded million-dollar deals.
A brand even had her and another mber shoot an ad, earning twenty million in three days.
Even after distributions, they each pocketed over a million.
While eating, Qiqi asked, "Are you guys heading out for schedules later?"
"Yes! A photoshoot for a candy brand. Why do we keep getting these kinds of ads?" Lv Fangxin grumbled.
"These gigs pay fast, the brands are small but cooperative, and they help us make money," Yuwei chuckled.
"Oh! Now you’re making feel embarrassed," Lv Fangxin muttered and stopped complaining.
Yuwei noticed that Qiqi seed a little downcast; because of her appearance, she didn’t get many photoshoot gigs.
Most of the ti, others brought her along, though her variety show appearances were doing well.
"You guys are all going to schedules. anwhile, I can only stay ho and sleep." Qiqi sighed, suddenly losing her appetite for shrimp dumplings.
"It’s the weekend! You’re supposed to sleep. Sleeping is the most carefree activity in the world." Lv Fangxin smiled.
Qiqi gave a forced smile, still looking helpless.
"Qiqi, things will get better. You’ve made it through tougher tis before." Lv Fangxin offered so consolation.
"Let’s turn sadness into appetite!" Not wanting to dampen the mood, Qiqi pretended to be cheerful.
Yuwei saw through it and felt helpless, deciding to play along and act cheerful herself.
This was the thing with these girls—no matter how sad or troubled they were, they always managed to find ways to cheer themselves up.
Especially for those who grew up in girl groups; they’d been through so much hardship, exhaustion, and disappointnt, yet they always found the courage to laugh.
Bedroom
After taking a shower, Qiqi stared out at the empty garden, feeling irritated.
That was when her phone rang.
"Big Boss, there’s an exhibition match coming up. Do you have ti to play?"
"Of course! I’ve got nothing planned for later." Qiqi picked up the phone to find it was her friend from her gaming group.
They didn’t know each other personally—they were only connected through the ga.
"Big Boss, I just knew you’d be down for it."
"How’d you know? Don’t tell you’re spying on !"
"How’d you guess? I installed a spy app on your phone."
Even though Qiqi knew the person was teasing, she couldn’t help but tense up.
The eleven of them all endured harassnt from obsessive fans. A tall, bearded man was her personal nightmare.
"Don’t joke like that."
"Alright, alright, I was just kidding. If I could do that, I wouldn’t be playing gas."
"Haha, you’re such a pro gar."
Qiqi imdiately caught on to the implied aning—this person’s skills were exceptionally high.
"I’m not a pro gar, just soone who plays well."
"Oh, okay then. If you don’t want to reveal yourself..."
"Better not reveal anything. Although you’re a cute girl in the ga, I suspect you’re actually so burly guy."
"No need to guess—you’re wrong. I am a cute girl!"
"My bad, Uncle."
The person clearly didn’t believe Qiqi was a little beauty.
"Let’s play a few rounds this afternoon—afterward, I need to go play basketball."
"You’re not playing basketball; you’re just out there to impress girls! Do you even have muscles? Gars are usually so scrawny."
"I’m all muscles. Those fresh-faced beauties see and their eyes practically fall out of their heads."
"Ugh, more like grandmas! Or they’ve never t soone as shaless as you."
"Hmph, I’ll send you a gif right now."
The person followed through and sent sothing to Qiqi.
The clip showed soone finishing a bottle of mineral water and lifting their sweatshirt’s hem to wipe their face.
The eight-pack abs were clearly visible, though the face remained blurry.
"Still hiding your identity!"
Though Qiqi said that, she did find the figure quite impressive—providing the clip was really his.
"How about you? Show sothing!"
"Sure!"
"What did you send? Isn’t that the ’Dragon Sister’ Lv Fangxin?"
"That’s ."
Qiqi was now clutching her phone on the bed, laughing uncontrollably.
"I’m serious—can we exchange WeChat info?"
"Sorry, I don’t use WeChat."
"Then QQ?"
"Sorry, don’t use that either."
With those words, Qiqi laughed even harder, feeling like she was acting like a suave, enigmatic man rejecting a giddy fangirl.
"Next, you’ll say your village just got internet access."
"Us country gals have to guard against your kind who send gifs of their abs."
The guy nearly choked from frustration.
"The exhibition match is starting soon, right? After that, I’m taking my girlfriend to eat—she’s starving."
"Ugh, are you even a guy?"
"If you’re looking for a duel, co find !"
After saying that, Qiqi couldn’t hold back anymore. She completely let loose, laughing uncontrollably.
In a moderately well-decorated room.
A quiet young man with pale skin was staring at the chat ssages in astonishnt.
"Oh my god—a pure girl turns out to be one big surprise."
"There really aren’t many true beauties left online these days. Looks like I need to cast a wider net."
He grabbed the mineral water on the desk to calm himself down.
"Fox, tomorrow at the training ground on ti—boss is coming." Soone sent him a voice ssage.
"Why’s the boss coming? To see if we’ve been slacking off?" The guy called Fox asked.
If Qiqi saw this guy, she’d be utterly shocked.
He was the second strongest player in the league, reputed as the only one capable of taking a win against the King’s unstoppable reign—this prodigious gar, Fox.
