Ti flies as swiftly as a fleeting horse.
Apart from ng Wu staying back for a ga shoot, the other sisters had all returned to the villa.
When Ye Yuwei sat at the large dining table, she suddenly felt a sense of closeness.
Even though she’d only been away for four days.
"Ti to eat, ti to eat!"
Jiang ngqi ca over calling loudly, carrying a clay pot.
Everyone at the table slled a rich fragrance of cabbage.
"Rainbow, you’re truly becoming more and more skillful," Yang Ni remarked, reaching out with her chopsticks to fish sothing out to eat.
"Huh? Where’s the at? I saw you put pork belly in earlier!" Yang Ni’s eyes widened as her chopsticks ca up empty after a few tries.
"I scooped all the at out to save it for the assistants. We’re just eating cabbage," Jiang ngqi explained while serving rice.
"Ah! I’m going crazy, I want at!" Yang Ni slumped dejectedly in her chair.
The seated Lai Ruoxuan laughed and said, "You still want to eat? You’re already the heaviest!"
"Weight has to be considered together with height!" Yang Ni shot back, refusing to back down.
"This cold dish is delicious! It even has small chili peppers," praised Fu Xiaoyu, enthusiastically eating more vegetables.
"I made that one, just added so enoki mushrooms to it," Duan Yuxin raised her hand eagerly.
"Tasty! Thanks to ngqi and Yuxin, otherwise we’d all just be instant noodle pros," Zhang Zijing chid in happily, clearly enjoying the group al.
"Fangxin, you’re usually the one who talks the most. Why are you just eating non-stop today?"
Fu Xiaoyu noticed that Lv Fangxin was quieter than even Li Zing today.
"Exactly, Fangxin, since when did you beco a proper lady?"
"Not a proper lady—she’s already had three bowls!"
Jiang ngqi stared in mock horror at the whirlwind-eating Lv Fangxin.
"Let tell you all sothing—for anyone wanting to take out for steak from now on, forget it! And foie gras or baked escargot? No thanks! I just want plain white rice,"
Lv Fangxin managed to swallow the mouthful of rice with so effort, waving her chopsticks as she spoke, only to choke slightly and gulp down a big sip of water.
"Hahaha! What’s gotten into you? How is steak not a good thing to eat?" Lai iyun asked, poking a small dried fish into Zhang Zijing’s mouth as she spoke.
The girls especially enjoyed feeding each other like this. Sharing a single cup of instant noodles was an everyday occurrence for them.
Ye Yuwei, as usual, stuck to eating cabbage, drinking plain water, and occasionally nibbling on so fruit.
However, seeing Lv Fangxin’s expression, she seed to have figured sothing out.
"Because I’m announcing it loud and clear—I only love white rice and Lao Gan Ma!" Lv Fangxin stood up with her hands on her hips, as if declaring this to the entire world.
"Fangxin, you seem more radiant lately," Lai Ruoxuan remarked, blinking playfully.
"Yeah, and your waist looks more flexible," Jiang ngqi nodded solemnly.
"But your brain seems to have gotten dumber—you look a bit silly!" Fu Xiaoyu’s blunt comnt almost made Lv Fangxin spit blood with fury.
"What do you an I’m silly? I feel more self-aware and clear-headed than ever before!"
"What’s so clear about it?"
"Right, what’s clear about it?"
"Could it be that your head is... breezy?"
Lv Fangxin almost died of anger from these teasing remarks, sitting back down to drink her soup silently, refusing to engage further.
She knew that if she replied, this group of girls would only beco more excited.
"Leafy, won’t you have so soup?" Zhang Zijing handed over a bowl of duck soup.
Although the rich aroma in the blue-and-white ceramic bowl was tempting, Ye Yuwei still shook her head.
Unless necessary, she avoided eating heavy or greasy foods.
"You’re too hard on yourself. Once in a while is fine; otherwise, you won’t have enough energy."
Ye Yuwei smiled politely and didn’t want to reject the kind offer outright. She picked up the spoon and sipped a little.
The soup ngqi made was excellent, leaving a lingering aromatic aftertaste. It even had goji berries and codonopsis, warming her body.
As they ate and chatted, the conversation naturally shifted to work.
"Yuwei Sis, how’s the filming going on your end?" Duan Yuxin asked, taking a bite of peach.
"It’s fine, just the usual."
"Is Li Jingtian really that handso?"
"Pretty handso. I even have his WeChat—do you want it?"
"...Forget it, I’m kind of scared of n."
Duan Yuxin thought for a mont and shook her head. She didn’t dare to casually look for a boyfriend.
"I’m so jealous you guys get to act in dramas. All we can do are variety shows," Yang Ni sighed.
"You all do music variety shows, which aren’t bad. Mine was disgusting," Jiang ngqi said, shivering dramatically in mock disgust.
"Wasn’t your variety show great? It had a lot of buzz!" Lai Ruoxuan was surprised.
"The host was disgusting. Just thinking about it makes want to puke," Jiang ngqi grimaced.
"What happened? Sister Yin always seed like such a proper person?" Zhang Zijing was equally taken aback.
Jiang ngqi put down her glass of water, her face full of disdain as she said,
"What you see is just appearances. Her ’true personality’ is fake—her heart is twisted. Onstage, she yaps away like an overtalkative pest."
"Offstage, she even hinted at to... have a relationship with her."
Lai Ruoxuan was stunned into silence, not expecting Sister Yin to be this kind of person.
"Isn’t she supposed to only like n? Didn’t she transition from being a man before?"
Zhang Zijing was equally shocked: "Wait, does that an she didn’t fully go through the surgery?"
Poof!
Ye Yuwei, who was quietly listening, almost spat out the water in her mouth.
Everyone except for Li Zing burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Zhang Zijing rarely spoke and had little worldly experience. She and Li Zing were quite alike, both sheltered and raised as well-behaved girls.
After saying that, even Zhang Zijing couldn’t help but laugh in embarrassnt.
"If the surgery wasn’t complete, wouldn’t her husband be terrified?"
"He must’ve been shaken every single day over the years!"
"Taking daily anti-shock pills!"
Once these girls started joking, they could go on endlessly.
"Rainbow, what exactly happened?" Ye Yuwei finally stepped in.
The previous lively scene quieted down at once because it was their leader’s formal inquiry.
"She said she could help introduce to resources, but she wanted sothing in return. Both she and her husband really like cute girls,"
Jiang ngqi’s expression turned gloomy, clearly still shaken by the incident.
"These kinds of scumbags, not one of them is any good. Onstage and on social dia, they act like decent human beings, but in reality, they’re monsters," Fu Xiaoyu sneered coldly.
"In this industry, there’s all kinds of people. Honestly, that’s probably the way she got ahead in her own career," Lai Ruoxuan added sarcastically.
Duan Yuxin looked completely shocked, suddenly growing uneasy.
"Yuxin, what’s wrong?" Li Zing asked curiously.
"I—I’m scared. What will I do if I encounter sothing like this?"
"Don’t worry, our company protects us. Just ignore people like that," Lai Ruoxuan reassured her.
"But... But what happens if we disband? Who will protect us then?"
Duan Yuxin’s words plunged everyone into a mont of silence and sadness.
Two years might not be long, but it certainly wasn’t short. Ti passed by so quickly.
And just as Duan Yuxin had said, they were currently under a big company’s umbrella, free to dismiss these troubling types. But what about later?
"Don’t worry, Yuxin. By then, we’ll all be big stars, and no one will dare touch us," Ye Yuwei smiled.
"Yeah, by that ti, we’ll all be superstars," Yang Ni chid in enthusiastically.
"Let’s keep pushing forward together!"
"We’re going to be singers, actresses, and shining dual stars!"
The group’s energy reignited, and they soon cheered up again.
In truth, one of the best parts of chasing dreams together in youth is being able to encourage and support one another. In their eyes, there was nothing they couldn’t overco.
