"Even Jillian doesn’t really listen to Joseph anymore. I heard from our parents that Joseph hasn’t been ho recently; he’s been staying at the guard team base. Joseph told Jillian not to deal with the Chip Family, and although Jillian agreed verbally, she secretly gets swindled and gives money away easily to them."
Jas Carter said, "The three mbers of the Chip Family have money again, so they’re causing trouble, and Jillian’s helping to sort it out. If she keeps on like this, sooner or later she’ll suffer the consequences of her disobedience."
"Joseph told her that even if the Chip Family wanted to expose sothing, there’s no evidence, and nobody would believe what they say. But Jillian is insecure; she thinks if the Chip Family spills the beans, it’ll ruin her. So she always compromises on their excessive demands."
Joseph tried to persuade her, but couldn’t, and it made Jillian resent him instead.
The grandparents Carter had long since stopped caring about Jillian.
And in front of Father and Mother Carter, all Jillian does is complain, constantly bad-mouthing Jane Sampson. Father and Mother Carter, who have been disappointed by Jillian many tis, don’t believe her anymore. They even suspect Jillian of hiding sothing again.
"It’s getting cold, you should head back." Jas Carter said, "I’ll be staying in the Capital Province for a few days, and then I’ll leave with you."
"Alright, help book flight tickets for , Coco, and Harry Little Money. I’ll send the information to you later." Jane Sampson acknowledged, urging Jas Carter to get in the car first before waving him off. She then started to move slowly, dragging her overly heavy stuff inside.
A young team mber on duty saw Jane Sampson struggling and was about to help when he saw Jas Black walking over from a distance.
"Sister-in-law, the Chief is here, why don’t you wait and let him help you with that?" the young team mber suggested, then added a reminder, "Sister-in-law, it’s chilly now, rember to wear a scarf when you go out, or you might catch a cold."
"Alright, I’ll rember next ti!" Jane Sampson replied cheerfully with a smile.
"What were you talking about?" Jas Black ca over and took the stuff out of Jane Sampson’s hand. Imdiately recognizing the sll of seafood, he guessed, "Was Jas Carter just here?"
Only Jane Sampson’s birth parents would be so enthusiastic about bringing her seafood, knowing how much she liked it.
"It was Brother." Jane Sampson nodded, "We’re having an extra al tonight! Invite Peter Gingery over."
Peter Gingery, who knew there would be large crab for dinner, was delighted all the way over. Seafood cooks quickly; once ho, a quick clean-up and steaming maintain the original flavor of the seafood. Once done, it was ready to eat.
"I feel that since you found your biological parents, Jane, my happiness has increased several tis over." Peter Gingery also loved seafood, but such delicacies were rare at the guard team base.
The seafood the Carter Family prepared for Jane Sampson was top quality, rarely seen in the market, and Peter Gingery ate it with great joy.
After the Carter Family t the Black Family, they sent seafood to the Black Family several tis as well. When Peter Gingery went back to the Black Residence, he occasionally got to enjoy a al or two.
The ho Aunt’s culinary skills are excellent, giving Peter Gingery a al that lingered in his mory for a long ti.
"By the way, Jas Black, today I went to the Rice Family. Starting tomorrow, I will be shadowing Auntie Rice to get a feel for being a lawyer. From then on, I won’t be ho for lunch after breakfast every day. After a week, I’ll be participating in the movie promotion." Jane Sampson rembered to tell Jas Black about this.
