Eve turned towards Alex and glared at him. After the tis they spent together, he knew she was just trying to hide her embarrassnt with that glare, so that glare looked more like a kitten trying to hiss at him.

"I was so busy yesterday, so I forgot to burn this piece of junk. I guess I just forgot and... it sohow ended up on top of my luggage," Eve replied. "D-don't think too highly of yourself, Alex. This is not important for ."

"Mhm, sure," Alex extended his hand and offered, "Then why don't you give it to ? I can burn it for you."

Although Eve said it was just a piece of junk, a part of her knew how important this handprint painting was, so she hugged it even tighter and shook her head, "Don't bother. I'll burn it myself tomorrow."

"Mhm, sure, but if you ever want to change your mind—" Alex pointed at an empty spot on the wall next to the bed. "You can hang it there. So you'll see that painting every ti you walk into your room."

"Hah! Why should I do that? I'd rather put my achievents there!" Eve snapped, but it only made her look even cuter in Alex's eyes. He was convinced that Eve wouldn't dare to toss that painting.

"If I rember correctly, I am your first love, isn't that also an achievent? You should hang it in this room," Alex teased her more. "They said that first love will leave the biggest impression in your life, so, I am honored to be the one."

"Y-y-you—!" Eve stamred as her mind simply blanked out. She felt that her face burned hotter for each second she had to listen to this shaless man. She was ready to toss this handprint painting out of the window just to prove to him that he wasn't all that important... though, she might have to pick it up back at night.

Alex was satisfied with her reaction, but he knew better than to push his luck. So, he shrugged and said, "Oh well, it's all up to you. That handprint painting is a gift for you anyway."

Alex felt a lot less lancholic and depressed after seeing the blush on her cheeks. Truly, seeing her showing a bit of her true self was like a dopamine rush inside his brain that made his day instantly.

He turned around and said, "Have fun with your new room. I'll see you at dinner."

Eve checked her watch and comnted, "It's only ten in the morning."

"Yeah, I assu you have to go to the Red Lass Agency to handle a few things. You can take any car in the parking lot. The keys are inside those cars," Alex added lightly.

"T-then how about..." Eve paused for a mont. She felt strangely nervous, even though she was the one who struck the deal with Alex yesterday.

She had ntally prepared herself the entire night for what she was about to do with Alex, so she wanted to get over it as soon as possible.

"About what?"

"About our deal..." Eve said with an almost muted voice.

Alex looked over his shoulder, and grinned full of interest, "Why are you so eager? I was thinking about sealing our deal tonight after a nice dinner. But if you insist..."

"N-no! We can definitely talk about it after dinner!" Eve snapped as she felt chill seeing the perverted smirk from that scum. "A-and stop looking at like that!"

Alex chuckled, "I got a little excited, Sweetheart."

He finally walked out of the room and closed the door, so Eve could have her own ti.

Eve stared at the door with eyes full of resentnt for a while, waiting for him to suddenly break the door hinge and storm in. However, ten seconds had passed, and there was no sound outside. She could finally let out a relieved sigh and sat on the bed.

She stared at the painting of handprints in her arms and hugged it tightly.

She had been debating the whole night whether she should take this thing with her or not.

Of course, the most logical thing to do was to hide it inside her apartnt storage and tell Alex that she had burned every little morabilia they ever had.

However, as she packed everything to move temporarily into this mansion, her brain simply malfunctioned for a second, and she found herself putting this special painting on top of her luggage.

Eve sighed, "Why can't I part with this painting? It's just two handprints with him on top of mine, and a cheesy line that he probably picked from a movie or sothing."

"So, why can't I let this painting go?"

That question lingered in Eve's head for a mont, before she sighed and tried to hang it on that special spot. So, whenever she entered her room, she would be greeted by this painting.

She took a few steps back and smiled while staring at the painting.

She already knew the answer to her previous question, but that answer wasn't important, at least the reason behind it was not important.

'Oh, wouldn't it be so nice to put it here? But I shouldn't, not in his mansion at least,' Eve sighed again and took off the painting after giving it a good look. She put it inside her luggage to ensure it would never see the light of the day anymore. 'That painting is like a daydream that I should never show to anyone. That would be the last ti Alex ever saw it.'

After settling with her heart, Eve began to look around her new room and realized that everything was just like in her dream journal.

The room had three arched windows with a beautiful flower garden as the view, and the sea across the wall.

The room was very spacious, with a tall ceiling. Most importantly, it was far from civilization. No more loud neighbors, and the view of suffocating skyscrapers everywhere.

She sat on the seat facing the garden and couldn't help but wonder, "This one is definitely not a coincidence. This room cos straight out of my dream journal."

This also raised a question, "How co he still rembers what's inside the journal? Last ti I rember, that journal is still with ."
