Ethan sat at his large mahogany desk, his eyes scanning the mountains of files stacked in front of him. The room was quiet except for the faint hum of the air conditioning and the soft rustling of papers as he flipped through the pages of a report. His office, on the top floor of the Twilight Corporation’s headquarters, offered a breathtaking view of the city skyline, but Ethan barely had the ti to enjoy it. Ever since waking from his coma, the workload had been overwhelming, with several months’ worth of projects piled up and waiting for his approval.
He ran a hand through his dark hair and sighed, glancing at the three folders on his desk, each marked with the nas of his companies: Twilight Mobiles, Twilight Gas, and Twilight Cars. Each one required his attention, and his team was pushing for new projects to move forward.
Grabbing the file from Twilight Mobiles first, he opened it and began reviewing the upcoming project proposal: a sleek, futuristic smartphone that was set to be launched next year.

He made a few notes about the design modifications and authorized the additional funding for research and developnt.
Satisfied with his progress, he leaned back in his chair and glanced at the clock. It was nearly lunchti, and his mind imdiately wandered to Adrian. A small smile crept across his lips as he imagined his husband at ho, probably lounging with a glass of juice and talking to their baby.
Without a second thought, Ethan grabbed his phone and dialed Adrian’s number. It rang twice before Adrian’s soft voice ca through.
"Hey, love," Adrian greeted, his voice imdiately warming Ethan’s heart.
"Hey," Ethan replied, unable to hide the smile in his voice. "How’s my favorite person doing? And how’s my baby?"
Adrian chuckled lightly, and Ethan could practically hear the smile in his voice. "Your baby is being good, just sitting here with , behaving. But your husband is missing you."
Ethan let out a low hum, leaning back in his chair as he twirled a pen between his fingers. "Missing , huh? Well, I’m missing you too. You have no idea how hard it is to concentrate when all I can think about is you."
Adrian laughed softly. "Co on, you’re supposed to be working, not daydreaming."
Ethan smirked. "Hard to work when all I want to do is co ho and kiss you."
There was a pause on the other end before Adrian’s voice dropped to a teasing whisper. "Well, maybe if you finish work early, I can reward you with more than just a kiss."
Ethan’s breath hitched, and he couldn’t help but grin. "You drive a hard bargain, Mrs. Ethan. I think I’ll have to wrap up early then."
Adrian laughed, the sound like music to Ethan’s ears. "I’ll be waiting."
They chatted for a few more minutes, sharing small updates about their day. Ethan felt lighter, more energized after the call. It amazed him how even a short conversation with Adrian could lift his spirits and make him feel like he could conquer the world.
As the call ended, Ethan placed his phone back on the desk and took a deep breath, preparing for the next task. But before he could dive back into work, the intercom buzzed.
"Sir, your 2 o’clock eting is ready," his assistant’s voice crackled through the speaker.
"Thank you, Lisa. I’ll be there in a minute."
Ethan stood up, grabbed the necessary files, and made his way to the conference room. The eting was with the executive teams from all three of his industries. It was ti to discuss the company’s future projects and ensure they stayed ahead of the competition.
The conference room buzzed with energy as the departnt heads from Twilight Mobiles, Twilight Gas, and Twilight Cars gathered. Ethan took his seat at the head of the table, and the room fell silent. He wasted no ti, diving straight into the agenda.
"Alright, everyone," Ethan began, his voice calm and authoritative. "We have a lot of work to cover today. Let’s start with Twilight Mobiles. Sarah, how’s the Falcon X project coming along?"
Sarah Greenfield, the project leader for Twilight Mobiles, sat up straighter in her chair. "The Falcon X is moving smoothly. We’re on track for production, and the marketing team is ready to start the promotional campaign once we get your final approval. We’re looking at a mid-January release date, pending any last-minute changes."
Ethan nodded, satisfied. "Good. Let’s make sure we’re prepared for any unforeseen challenges. This model needs to be perfect."
Next, he turned to Jake Thompson from Twilight Gas. "Jake, tell about Quantum Horizon. Are we still on schedule?"
Jake smiled confidently. "Yes, sir. The ga’s beta testing phase has been incredibly successful. We’ve received excellent feedback, and the voice actors are all on board. We’re still aiming for a December release."
Ethan smiled. "That’s what I like to hear. Keep up the good work."
Finally, he looked to Michael Rodgers from Twilight Cars. "Michael, how’s the Velocity 2025?"
Michael grinned, clearly excited. "It’s going to be a ga-changer, Ethan. The design team is putting the final touches on the prototype, and we’re already getting inquiries from interested buyers. Once we finalize the R&D, we’ll be ready to launch by mid-2025."
Ethan nodded, satisfied with the updates. "Excellent. Let’s keep the montum going. I want to see all these projects succeed."
After a few more hours of discussions and approvals, the eting finally wrapped up. Ethan felt a sense of accomplishnt as he returned to his office. He still had a long way to go, but things were falling into place.
As the day wound down, Ethan looked at the ti and smiled. It wouldn’t be long before he’d be back ho with Adrian
