"Why are you pulling down the blinds!" Kenneth Yates stood up and pried open a corner of the blinds with his finger to look outside.

"I’m worried our colleagues will gossip."

"Heh, they’re more likely to gossip if you do this." Kenneth walked over to Sumr Lancaster’s side, picked up the coffee cup, and started drinking it himself.

Seeing this, Sumr Lancaster shot up from her chair to snatch the coffee from him. "Isn’t that coffee for ? If you want so, go buy another cup." After she spoke, she started drinking the coffee. It had lots of crear and sugar, so it wasn’t bitter at all.

Kenneth had already taken a sip of the coffee. He had added a lot of sugar, just the way she liked it. She disliked overly bitter coffee, whereas he only ever drank it black. He found the cloyingly sweet taste insipid. To him, life was already full of setbacks; there was no need to seek fleeting sweetness in a cup of coffee.

"Whoa! It’s too sweet!" Kenneth grimaced, his expression slightly displeased.

Sumr Lancaster put down the coffee cup and turned to look at him, horrified. "You drank so?"

"Of course. Did you really think you could be faster than ?"

"Then just now..." ’We just shared a cup of coffee.’ Sumr Lancaster pointed an index finger at Kenneth. "What exactly are you trying to do? You bring coffee, but you take the first sip yourself, and then you let ... let drink after you."

Kenneth slipped his hands into his suit pockets, a leisurely expression on his face as he closed in on Sumr step by step. Unsure of his intentions, Sumr could only back away, a look of alarm on her face.

Suddenly, Kenneth flashed a devastatingly charming smile right before Sumr’s eyes. She even forgot to move away, completely captivated by his expression. His beauty was enough to topple nations.

SLAM!

Kenneth’s right hand slamd hard against the bookshelf behind Sumr. Startled, she ca to her senses only to find herself trapped in his arms, unable to move.

The man was still smiling. In her mory, he rarely smiled. More often, he would sneer—a smile that, despite being a smile, sent shivers down her spine. But this ti, his smile held less coldness and more intimacy.

Sumr lowered her head, not daring to look him in the eye, but her deeply flushed cheeks gave her away.

"Isn’t this what you wanted?" Kenneth leaned down and whispered intimately in her ear. "It’s not like you haven’t tasted my saliva before. And you seed to enjoy it every ti!"

WHOOSH. Sumr felt as if all the blood in her body were rushing in reverse. Her mind went completely blank. She didn’t know what to say, much less how to face him.

"Hmm?" Kenneth prompted her relentlessly, the corners of his lips curling into a wicked smile.

Sumr covered her cheeks for a long mont until she felt her body cool down and her thoughts begin to clear. Then, she gave Kenneth a hard shove and took the chance to escape.

Her high heels weren’t exactly cooperating; she even twisted her ankle as she pushed the door open, looking utterly pathetic. But she didn’t dare look back to see Kenneth’s reaction. She was just desperate to get away. ’That damn pervert, Kenneth!’ she fud internally. ’Doesn’t he know so things are better left unsaid? He says it all so casually, but it’s mortifying for !’

There was no one in the breakroom. Sumr breathed a sigh of relief, closed the door, and poured herself a glass of warm water before sitting down. But her mind kept replaying what Kenneth had said and done, and an unconscious blush crept back onto her cheeks. Sumr shook her head fiercely, her brows furrowed in anger.
