lody Donovan had actually arrived in Valoria a while ago, but she’d been observing them from a distance. ’So this is the "trouble" he ran into? He’s been a master of the ga for years, and he can’t even handle this? Looks like I overestimated him.’
Dominic Thorne spotted lody Donovan. She was striding toward them with a commanding presence. Seeing her was like a glimr of hope, and a smile spread across his face.
SPLASH.
A cup of water splashed across Dominic Thorne’s hopeful face, dousing his smile.
"Don’t you know I’m pregnant? And you’re still out here fooling around! You’ve completely broken my heart," lody Donovan cried, covering her mouth with her hand and feigning a sob.
"I..." Dominic Thorne was utterly baffled. ’Does getting out of trouble have to be this complicated? All she had to do was co over and say she was my girlfriend. What’s with this whole lodrama?’
lody Donovan ignored him. Instead, she spun around, snatched a coffee cup from the table, and flung its contents in the other woman’s face. The white dress was instantly stained brown, and coffee dripped steadily from the ends of the woman’s long hair.
The woman stood frozen for a long mont, clearly not expecting the newcor to turn on her.
And the instigator of it all simply looked down on everyone, a cold smile on her face.
"Do you have any idea who I am? How dare you throw coffee on !" the woman shrieked, shooting up from her seat so forcefully that her chair crashed to the floor. CLATTER. All eyes turned toward them: a disheveled man, a drenched woman, and a third woman who seed completely unfazed by the drama. It was the perfect picture of a husband caught cheating, and the crowd began to point and whisper about Dominic and his companion.
"Do *you* know who *I* am? How dare you speak to like that? Let tell you sothing," lody Donovan said, pointing a finger at Dominic, "even *he* wouldn’t dare talk to that way. Who the hell do you think you are?" She was boldly staking her claim.
The woman clearly hadn’t expected such a perfect counterattack. Flustered, she snatched her purse and fled the hotel.
Frowning, Dominic Thorne grabbed lody Donovan and pulled her out of the Valoria.
The two people in the car were in starkly different moods. Dominic was still vexedly dabbing at his wet hair and shirt. lody, on the other hand, seed to be in high spirits, humming to herself as she gazed out the window. ’I really wanted to dump that coffee on his head,’ she mused. ’Now *that* would have been satisfying. Thrilling, even. But the coffee seed a little hot, and if I’d ruined his face, he’d probably kill . Still, once I picked up the cup, there was no putting it down, so the other woman got it instead. She was just unlucky, I guess. This really didn’t have to involve her, but I couldn’t stand her arrogant attitude, so I took all my frustration out on her.’
"Alright, I helped you out. Now give back the photos," lody Donovan said nonchalantly, holding out her right hand.
The man stopped what he was doing. He seized her hand and leaned in, pressing her back against her seat.
"Hey! What are you doing?" lody yelped, instinctively crossing her arms over her chest.
"You dared to splash ? And you said *I* wouldn’t dare talk to you that way?" Dominic Thorne’s eyes flashed with fury as his hand tightened around lody’s waist.
lody hadn’t expected him to fly into a rage from the humiliation. ’This is bad,’ she thought. ’The situation is not in my favor. I’m no match for Dominic Thorne’s strength, so I’ll have to outsmart him.’
"Hehe, that was just part of the act to scare her off. How else was I supposed to do it?" lody forced a cheeky grin, though she was terrified on the inside. She didn’t understand Dominic Thorne at all. ’A cruel tyrant never shows his true colors. He’s like a demon, always hiding its true nature.’
