Gregory Lancaster smiled and agreed, telling Sumr Lancaster that she and Kenneth Yates should co ho to visit often whenever they had ti.

Yvonne Lancaster and Audrey Adler were only held for a short while at the police station before being released. Afterwards, the two were quite pleased with themselves, both assuming Gregory Lancaster had pulled so strings to get them freed so quickly. The reality, however, was that his company had beco little more than an empty shell, and no one was willing to do business with him anymore.

Back in the hospital room, Sumr Lancaster’s mood seed to have lightened a little. The knot in her heart had finally been untied.

"Kenneth, do you think I did the right thing?" Sumr Lancaster asked, looking hesitantly at Kenneth Yates.

"Everyone sees things from a different perspective. So people believe family cos first, while others prioritize their own interests. You’re not dealing with a business situation, so you did the right thing. You were lenient with people who plotted against you, in the hopes that they’ll change their ways. Otherwise, I’ll personally teach them how to behave next ti!"

Sumr Lancaster scratched her head. ’It was a simple question, so why did he give such a long speech? I don’t understand a word of it.’

Sumr Lancaster went back to playing on her phone, ignoring his "long-winded speech."

"Hey, do you rember Audrey?"

"I don’t," Kenneth Yates replied without looking at her.

Sumr Lancaster snatched the newspaper from his hands, her eyes wide with fury. "You’re just brushing off! How could you not rember!"

Kenneth Yates looked completely baffled. "I really don’t rember. Is she from our company?"

Sumr Lancaster threw her phone at him in a huff. "See for yourself! It’s that woman who threw coffee on . She’s quitting the entertainnt industry now!" Kenneth Yates took her phone and glanced at it, finally recalling who she was. The screen displayed a news headline: "Audrey in Disgrace, Quits Show Business." Below it was a photo of her looking utterly dejected.

"Oh," Kenneth Yates said nonchalantly, putting the phone down and going back to his newspaper.

"What do you an, ’oh’? Do you have any idea how arrogant she was back then? She thought she was invincible with your patronage. She even went out of her way to tell that the title of Mrs. Yates would be hers sooner or later. But her reputation was already bad back then, so it’s only natural she’d end up in this situation." Sumr Lancaster shot a sideways glance at Kenneth’s expression; he still wore that sa ’none-of-my-business’ look.

"I never gave her any patronage. She was just one of the many won who ca and went," Kenneth Yates said, not paying much mind to her words. ’That’s all in the past. What’s the point of bringing it up now?’

Sumr Lancaster suddenly grabbed his arm. "I still rember you told to get her a coffee, but I refused, and you totally chewed out for it."

Kenneth Yates finally put down his newspaper. He stroked her head and smiled indulgently. "I’m surprised you have such a good mory. I’d almost forgotten about that. So, what are you getting at?"

Sumr Lancaster’s eyes glinted mischievously. "How about you get a coffee?"

"Not a chance!" Kenneth Yates shook her arm off and picked his newspaper back up. "If you want coffee, have Fletcher get it. I’m busy!"

Sumr Lancaster’s expression instantly fell. Staring at his face, she said, "So I’m worth less than a fleeting fancy, huh? The life of a wealthy man’s wife truly is pitiful! I want to be discharged. There’s just no communicating with you." Seeing he still had no reaction, Sumr Lancaster leaned closer and added, "I’m leaving tomorrow! Hmph!" With that, she tried to get out of bed, but Kenneth Yates forcefully pulled her into his arms.

"I’m getting discharged tomorrow, too. This hospital is boring as hell, isn’t it, wifey?" His eyes, however, clearly suggested more than just that. Sumr Lancaster blushed slightly and pushed him away.
