Qiao Xu hurriedly stood up from the sofa, walked over to open the door and saw Lu Moqing standing at the entrance, his expression inscrutable as he looked at her.
"You’re back."
Qiao Xu asked and then made room for him to pass. She took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet and placed them in front of him.
Lu Moqing’s gaze rested on her face, trying to see sothing in the depths of her eyes, but after a long ti, he couldn’t find what he wanted to see, and he couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
After putting on the slippers and entering, he kept staring at Qiao Xu, making her feel uneasy under his gaze.
"Why are you looking at like that?"
Lu Moqing took two steps forward, stood in front of her, and looked down at her from his higher vantage point. His dark pupils swirled with various unidentifiable colors, leaving Qiao Xu sowhat puzzled.
"Aren’t you jealous?"
Lu Moqing asked in a deep voice.
Qiao Xu was taken aback, her expression puzzled, "Why would I be jealous?"
"I gave Lin Yuan a ride ho, and you’re not jealous?"
He pursed his thin lips and repeated it with a straight face.
Qiao Xu had no idea what he was sulking about and said directly, "Why would I be jealous?"
Lu Moqing’s heart sank a little more.
When he proposed to take Lin Yuan ho earlier, he was worrying about how to appease his wife should she be jealous, from the mont he left the hospital to when he left Lin Yuan’s ho.
He was both worried about her being jealous and not jealous.
What does it an if she’s not jealous? It ans she doesn’t care about his relationship with other won.
Just like when she proposed to remarry him, she wouldn’t bother him even if one day he falls for another woman.
And now, seeing her looking like nothing happened, Lu Moqing’s heart sank further, "It’s nothing."
He sullenly looked away and walked towards the living room. His desolate figure confused Qiao Xu even more.
So... what was he sulking about, exactly?
Seeing Lu Moqing walk to the wine cabinet and pour himself a glass of red wine, he stood for a while and then turned back.
Seeing that Qiao Xu was watching him, he paused for a mont, walked over to her, and seed to have a lot to say but was hesitant to speak.

What’s wrong with him? He was this listless as soon as he ca back – was he angered by Lin Yuan?

Qiao Xu found it sowhat amusing in her heart, thinking he had been quite sentintal lately.
Seeing that she was looking at him without saying anything, his heart couldn’t help but chill a bit more.
He knew he shouldn’t have been ddling, coming all the way back to interfere in a matter she could easily resolve on her own. In her eyes, he was probably just being nosy, right?
His heart filled with bitter self-mockery, just as he was about to speak, but he heard Qiao Xu say cheerfully, "No, not at all."
