But she was just a servant, and it wasn’t her place to speak about the affairs of the master’s family. So she didn’t respond to Grandma Lu’s words, and could only offer comfort:

"The words you said to the Young Lady today, she should be able to take them to heart. Don’t be angry, it’s not good for your health."

Grandma Lu sighed softly and shook her head.

After all, she was her own granddaughter, and she hoped the child would be well. Otherwise, with Mo Qing’s temperant, if he was truly provoked, he wouldn’t be polite even to his own sister.

Lu Moqing drove from the Lu family ho all the way to the Qiao Family. He kept glancing at the Ragdoll cat placed in the co-pilot seat, his heart filled with a faint sense of trepidation.

He was always worried that the pet he had chosen would be disliked by his wife.

When they arrived at the Qiao family residence, a servant imdiately approached, "Young Master Lu, this way please."

Lu Moqing nodded slightly, his face showing a deep and cold deanor as he walked in.

He instinctively tightened his grip on the Space Capsule, an inexplicable tension rising within him.

His gaze subconsciously swept through the hall, but he didn’t see Qiao Xu’s figure. Lu Moqing’s eyebrows furrowed imperceptibly, disappointnt in his eyes.

"Young Master Lu, please wait a mont. The Old Master is handling so business in the study and will be right down."

The servant brought tea for Lu Moqing and spoke respectfully.

Lu Moqing absentmindedly responded with a "Mmm," and after holding back for a while, he finally asked, "Where’s Xuxu?"

"The Young Lady is helping the Old Master with trimming potted plants in the backyard. Would you like to go over, Young Master Lu?"

The servant who brought the tea was Chen Ma, who had previously prepared soup for the Old Master. She knew a little about the Young Lady and her relationship with her son-in-law. Seeing the son-in-law asking about the Young Lady, a smile appeared on her face.

Lu Moqing was sowhat uneasy under the happy expression of Chen Ma, but he still nodded and made his way towards the backyard.

As soon as he arrived in the backyard, he saw the slim and slender figure slightly bent over, standing in front of a row of exquisitely trimd potted plants, carefully trimming the branches and leaves with a pair of scissors.

Lu Moqing’s face, for once, revealed a trace of nervousness, like a young man with a budding spring heart, feeling awkward upon seeing the girl he admired.

He paused without moving forward. After a long ti, he crouched down, opened the Space Capsule, let out the little Ragdoll kitten, gently patted her little butt, and said:

"Go to mommy."

The kitten didn’t seem to understand, but it actually wiggled its small body and walked towards Qiao Xu, swaying its little butt.

Qiao Xu was carefully trimming the potted plant in front of her when she suddenly felt a ticklish sensation around her ankle. Imdiately after, she heard a soft kitten’s ow.

Subconsciously lowering her gaze, she saw a white little kitten looking up at her with its small head.

Its deep blue eyeballs were like two sapphires, shining while watching her, and occasionally letting out a few ows.

Qiao Xu’s eyes brightened instantly, and her heart softened as she listened to the little creature’s sounds.

She put down her scissors, crouched down, and picked up the kitten. "Little one, whose family do you belong to? How did you end up here?"

Qiao Xu thought it was one of their servant’s kittens that had run up to her. The kitten was both beautiful and adorable, and she simply couldn’t put it down when holding it in her hands.
