"Thank you for doing this, Su Rou. You’re so kind, unlike that despicable Qiao Xu."
ntioning Qiao Xu, Lu Xintong’s face was full of disgust and contempt.
Su Rou lowered her eyes, the corner of her lips curling up in a calculating manner.
"You should go back first since you’ve been out for so long. Little Bao will cry again soon."
Su Rou appeared to be thoughtful, wishing for Lu Xintong to leave the ward imdiately.
Lu Xintong didn’t think much of it and nodded: "Right, I should hurry back. I’ll leave my brother in your care."
"Don’t worry, I will take good care of Mo Qing."
After Lu Xintong left, Su Rou sat beside Lu Moqing, grabbing his hand that was resting on the quilt and holding it tightly. Her eyes revealed a hint of infatuation and greediness.
This was the first ti she had been so close to Lu Moqing. His handso features were like a work of art carefully sculpted by God himself, with every line perfect enough to leave no flaws to be found.
Su Rou just watched him silently, unable to suppress her racing heartbeat.
She had to admit that despite Lu Moqing’s harsh words towards her, she couldn’t help but want to be close to him, uncontrollably infatuated with him, like a moth drawn to a fla, until death do them apart.
Her hand gently touched Lu Moqing’s face, her heart racing uncontrollably, she slowly bent down towards Lu Moqing’s bloodless lips.
Her eyes harboured an undeniable desire.
"Mo Qing, you’re mine. I love you so much, I really do. Do you know that?"
Her lips were close to Lu Moqing’s, they could feel each other’s breath intertwining. Su Rou’s mind was filled with images of them being intimate. Her face flushed, her heartbeat accelerating even more.
"Mo Qing..."
Her lips, aiming for Lu Moqing’s, were about to touch when her hand on his wrist was suddenly seized by a strong force.
The next second, Lu Moqing’s closed eyes suddenly opened. Su Rou’s eyes were directly hit by his as they stared deeply into each other. Those eyes were like a man-eating beast that could shred her apart just by looking.
Under his gaze, Su Rou felt her heart tremble, "Mo... Mo Qing..."
"Get out!"
He coldly spat out the word, with no pity or gentleness in his grip, flinging Su Rou off the bed.
He sat up on the bed, holding his stomach that still ached slightly. His cold, sharp gaze, like a sharp knife, grazed past Su Rou’s frightened face, "Who allowed you to be here?"
"Mo Qing..."
Tears welled up in Su Rou’s eyes, as she rubbed her aching elbow and struggled to stand up from the ground. Biting her lip hard, she looked extrely aggrieved.
"I ca to the hospital to see the doctor and saw you being brought in unconscious. I was worried and wanted to stay and take care of you."
Lu Moqing’s face darkened, but upon hearing Su Rou’s words, he seed to suddenly think of sothing and asked, "Who brought here?"
He rembered that just before he fainted, Jiang Hao called for Qiao Xu, but he couldn’t rember what happened after that.
"It... It was Sister. She took you to the hospital and then left."
Heaven knows how much she didn’t want to tell Mo Qing that it was Qiao Xu who had brought him there.
However, there were many people in the hospital who saw Qiao Xu bringing him in. If she lied, she would be exposed imdiately.
