"Hus...husband..."
She wanted Tang Jingxing to move back a bit, not to be so close to her.
However, the usual straightforward address sounded particularly ambiguous in this atmosphere.
"Hmm?"
Tang Jingxing responded in a low voice, his tone tinged with a touch of faint pleasure.
Seeing her blushing face and her coquettish appearance as she called him, Tang Jingxing’s heart was moved, and his Adam’s apple unconsciously rolled twice.

Perhaps the heater was turned up too high.

The sudden influx of air made Lu Xinyou feel as if she could finally breathe and let out a deep sigh.
"Much better."
She nodded but didn’t dare to et Tang Jingxing’s gaze.
She found Tang Jingxing’s charm to be much more overwhelming than she had imagined.
Just one look could make a person’s heart flutter and nearly lose themselves.
Especially when his deep gaze was fixed on you, it seed like you would be drawn into his eyes.
Tang Jingxing didn’t make it difficult for her; instead, he changed his tone to a more consultative one and said:
"Then, can you treat like you do your brother in the future?"
Lu Xinyou didn’t think too much about it, as Tang Jingxing’s request seed too simple to her. If she rejected it, she would appear pretentious and excessive. At that mont, without thinking twice, she agreed, and said, "Okay."
Tang Jingxing curved his lips in satisfaction, raised his hand, and lightly rubbed her at the back of the head. "That settles it."
Lu Xinyou’s body stiffened slightly, unused to such an intimate gesture with Tang Jingxing but not entirely repulsed by the feeling.
Just that she found her heartbeat inexplicably quickened again, even the room temperature began to rise again.
"Okay."
Her voice was low, with a hint of nervousness.
Then, there was another awkward silence.
Lu Xinyou suddenly thought of Tang Jingxing’s purpose for this visit, believing he couldn’t have rely co to talk to her about this matter. So she asked:
"By the way, what brings you here so late...?"
"Hmm?"
Tang Jingxing squints his eyes, and his voice deepened, scaring Lu Xinyou into quickly correcting herself:
"I an, what do you need from ?"
Seeing Tang Jingxing pondering for a few seconds, he said:
"Your brother heard that I’m living next door to you and asked to look out for you a bit more."
Far away in City A, Qiao Jinyin suddenly felt cuted out and inexplicably sneezed.
Lu Xinyou didn’t doubt his words and nodded her head, laughing—
"That’s just like big brother, always worrying about too much."
As Tang Jingxing watched her radiant smile, his gaze beca a little dazed and filled with heat.
"There are people who like to worry about you, and it’s not just your big brother."
Lu Xinyou assud their talk was about her parents and other relatives, she didn’t give it too much thought and agreed with a nod.
Tang Jingxing knew she hadn’t really understood his aning, but he wasn’t in a rush at the mont.
Then, rembering his real purpose for this visit, he said:
"When I went ho earlier, I t your friend in the elevator. Did you two have a fight?"
