"Are you feeling better?"
Lu Moqing asked her in a stiff tone, but his gaze didn’t et hers.

With that, he began to pull the suitcase he had placed by the door toward the study room in the master bedroom compartnt.
"It’s very late now, why don’t you rest first and deal with it tomorrow."
Qiao Xu opened her mouth, looking eagerly and ingratiatingly at him.
Lu Moqing was unable to say a word of rejection when it was on the tip of his tongue.

After changing into his ho clothes, he got into bed and turned off the night light, laying down beside Qiao Xu.
However, unlike usual, he didn’t hold her in his arms while sleeping.
Qiao Xu even felt that there was a gap of several centiters between them.
Obviously, even though he was taking care of her carefully tonight, he had no intention of forgiving her.
Her lips felt dry under the covers, and she slowly reached out to hold Lu Moqing’s hand, sowhat cautiously, as if she were afraid he would shake it off, gently probing to hold his hand.
