"Mr. Lu, Miss Yi Xin is right here."
As he spoke, he helped push the door open for him.
Inside the private room sat four or five middle-aged n, chatting and laughing animatedly. They all seed to be in good spirits and did not expect Lu Moqing to co over.
Seeing him brought to the room by the restaurant manager, surprise showed on their faces.
"President Lu, what brings you here?"
Everyone in the private room was a familiar face in the business world, and Lu Moqing knew each one of them.
They were all well-known either in the business world or in pleasure places.
Lu Moqing glanced at them and asked coldly, "Where’s Yi Xin?"
"Miss Yi? She’s in the restroom, President Lu, why are you here..."
Lu Moqing ignored them and went directly to the restroom, knocking on the door. "Yi Xin? Open the door, I’m here."
The people in the private room had no idea why Lu Moqing suddenly appeared with displeasure on his face, nor did they know why he went straight to the restroom.
Their gazes were puzzled, all wondering what was wrong with Lu Moqing.
Lu Moqing stood at the entrance to the restroom, and the person inside seed to have heard his voice, finally stirring.
She opened the door hurriedly, and seeing Lu Moqing there, her beautiful eyes lit up as if she had seen her savior.
"Brother Moqing..."
Her voice was sowhat hoarse, and she was trembling noticeably.
Her lips had been bitten by herself and were stained with crimson blood.
She tried hard to suppress her emotions, and tearful glimrs still shone at the bottoms of her eyes.
The other middle-aged n in the room also gathered around, and when they saw Yi Xin’s facial expression, they paused, "What happened to Miss Yi?"
Lu Moqing noticed that Yi Xin tightly gripped his arm, her trembling arm shimred, and the watery gaze in her eyes revealed a trace of fear.
"Brother Moqing, let’s go."
Lu Moqing nodded his head, helped Yi Xin walk out, and before they left, he gave them a stern warning look. The n were confused, not knowing what had happened.
After Lu Moqing helped Yi Xin leave, one person finally asked:
"What happened?"
The slightly more perceptive ones thought of Yi Xin’s flushed face when she ca out of the restroom earlier, her gritted teeth, hoarse voice, and trembling legs. It was obvious she had been drugged.
Thinking of this made their faces turn pale.
"Who drugged Yi Xin?"
All the n present changed their expressions when they heard this.
Upon recollecting Yi Xin’s appearance earlier, they felt their heart skip a beat.
"I didn’t do it. Though I like to play with won, I know my limits. Yi Xin is not soone we can ss with."
"Exactly, considering the occasion tonight, even if we wanted to play, we wouldn’t choose this ti or a woman like Yi Xin. We’re not crazy."
The other n echoed the sentint, nodding their heads in agreent.
"Then what happened?"
Everything seed fine when they first ca in, but how did she end up like that after she went out?
None of them could figure it out, but thinking of Lu Moqing’s cold expression as he left, their hearts inexplicably skipped a beat.
When Lu Moqing helped Yi Xin out of the private room, her legs were trembling, and her body temperature seed very high. She clenched her teeth and kept quiet.
She walked slowly, her forehead full of cold sweat.
Lu Moqing glanced at her sideways and whispered:
"Can you hold on?"
Yi Xin looked up at him, her eyes watery and pitiful, "It’s okay."
