The parking spot was not far from the building entrance, and Qiao Xu held the umbrella to shield Qiao Yi from the rain, giving most of the umbrella cover to the person next to her.
The icy raindrops hit her exposed arm outside the umbrella, seeping into her pores and making her shiver unconsciously from the cold.
Upon entering the building, Lu Moqing noticed that more than half of Qiao Xu’s body was soaked, and his eyebrows furrowed without a word.
The elevator was slowly descending, and the two were waiting at the elevator entrance. The corridor was empty at this ti, and the silence made Qiao Xu feel slightly awkward.
"Ding——"
The elevator opened in ti, and Qiao Xu followed Lu Moqing in with it going straight to the top floor.
Lin Xiao’s house was a duplex on the top floor of the community, with a great view and a small rooftop garden, making it a very comfortable living space.

After carrying the child upstairs, she went to the bathroom to take a hot bath; judging by the ti, Lu Moqing should have left by now. She changed into a set of casual clothes before coming downstairs.
Just a few steps down, she saw Lu Moqing’s tall fra coming out of the kitchen, holding a bowl of steaming ginger soup in his hands.
Upon seeing her coming down, Lu Moqing swept his eyes over her and said, "Co down and drink the ginger soup."
Qiao Xu, standing on the stairs: "..."
Her hand on the railing tightened, and after a mont’s hesitation, she ca down the stairs.
Lu Moqing’s gaze fixed on Qiao Xu, her hair half-dry after the shower. She wore a thin set of casual clothes, and although the neckline wasn’t particularly low, her perfect collarbones were faintly visible through it. Lu Moqing felt parched after just one glance at her.
His eyes shifted away from her collarbones, only to accidentally rest on the two protrusions on her chest...
Qiao Xu didn’t expect Lu Moqing to still be there, so she hadn’t put on her bra after the shower. Lu Moqing’s casual glance left him feeling unsettled.
The heated blood in his body rushed to his head with a growing sense of losing control.
Was this woman doing it on purpose?
Feeling his throat dry up, he put the ginger soup on the dining table with a stern face and said in an unusually hoarse voice, "Drink it."
After saying that, he walked quickly towards the restroom.
Watching Lu Moqing’s tall figure disappear into the bathroom door, Qiao Xu pressed her lips together, feeling sowhat annoyed.

Feeling a sudden tickle in her nose, she sneezed and eyed the ginger soup Lu Moqing had made. She didn’t stand on ceremony, picking up the bowl to drink it in large gulps, her previously cold body instantly feeling much warr.
anwhile, Lu Moqing went to the restroom to wash his face. After cooling down from the heat that Qiao Xu had stirred up in him, he ca back out.
