When she didn’t think about it, it didn’t seem like a big deal, but once she thought about it, Lu Xintong’s heart suddenly felt a little bitter.
In a flash, she realized that she had been estranged from her brother for such a long ti.
And all because of a little scoundrel who had been plotting against them, siblings.
"You did a great job today, helping your brother with a big favor."
Lu Moqing rarely praised her, even when he used to indulge her willful and arrogant temper, he never praised her with a single word.
At this mont, upon suddenly hearing Lu Moqing’s warm and gentle tone of voice praising her, Lu Xintong’s eyes turned red instantly.
But thinking of the embarrassnt of crying in front of Qiao Xu, she held back her tears.
She stamred over to Lu Moqing’s side, tugged at his arm, and said:
"Then can you not leave the Lu family with anymore?"
Lu Moqing smiled, raised his hand and rubs her hair but didn’t answer her question, just said:
"It’s very late, and everyone is tired. Let’s go back to our rooms and rest first."
As he spoke, he went upstairs with Qiao Xu, leaving Lu Xintong standing alone in the living room with a pouty, abandoned look on her face.
"Bah! A guy who values his lover over his sister!"
Lu Xintong muttered under her breath, and the next second, a smile bubbled up from the bottom of her eyes with a hint of shyness.
Raising her hand to touch the top of her head that had been rubbed by her brother, her mood suddenly beca cheerful.
The next day.
When Qiao Xu ca out of the bedroom, she bumped into Lu Xintong, who had just finished freshening up and was preparing to go downstairs for breakfast.
Since becoming pregnant, Qiao Xu loved to lie in bed. Basically, by the ti Lu Moqing went to work, she was sound asleep.
Lu Moqing didn’t have the heart to wake her up and didn’t ask the servants to disturb her either. By the ti she woke up, it was almost ten o’clock.
On the other hand, Lu Xintong was inherently a bed-lover, especially during this springti drowsiness season. Waking up at this ti was a common occurrence, and so the two t just like that.
Because her face was swollen from being slapped last night, Lu Xintong felt a bit awkward when she saw Qiao Xu.
Qiao Xu didn’t mind, though. She had never had a good relationship with Lu Xintong in the past. Although recently, Lu Xintong’s attitude had improved, it didn’t an that she needed to greet her with a smile.
Just like how she had treated Lu Xintong before, she simply walked past her straight towards the staircase entrance.
Just as she was about to go downstairs, she heard a low voice from behind, "I’m sorry."
Qiao Xu’s footsteps paused, thinking she had misheard, but then Lu Xintong’s voice ca again, "I’m sorry!"
This ti, Lu Xintong’s voice was raised a bit more, and Qiao Xu heard it loud and clear.
She turned her head to look at Lu Xintong.
Lu Xintong seed sowhat embarrassed, her gaze flickering unnaturally.
Her chin lifted slightly, her proud and spoiled deanor as identical as her brother, truly worthy of being siblings.
When it ca to arrogance, no one could compare to this pair of siblings.
Becoming more uneasy under Qiao Xu’s gaze, Lu Xintong mustered up the courage to walk over.
"Qiao Xu, I’m...I’m sorry."
Seeing that Qiao Xu remained unmoved, she added, "This ti, it’s not because of my husband. I...I want to apologize to you for...for what happened before."
Her voice trailed off out of embarrassnt, but Qiao Xu still heard her clearly.
Seeing that Qiao Xu still looked emotionless, Lu Xintong frowned and said:
"Qiao Xu, did you hear ?"
