Chapter 49 - I want you

Jing Lihua felt hotness enveloping her. Finding the comfort in that strange hotness, she leaned in and snuggled into it.

So comfortable.

Suddenly, her eyes opened widely. Her head was resting against a n.a.k.e.d shoulder. Strong arms were protectively wrapped around her waist; her face was sunk into the man’s neck. A blanket covered both of them and kept them warm. Startled, she sucked in a deep breath. Hot breaths hit the top of her head and a faint pleasant fragrance assaulted her nose. Big gentle hands affectionately rubbed her back.

God!

She pushed away the man. Her widened eyes focused at him; they were filled with utter shock.

She was speechless. She recalled his features and quickly recognized him "You..." The man was not wearing a shirt.

"I can explain..."

"Get out"

"JingJing I..."

"I said get out!" Her voice rose considerably high. Fearing that his JingJing might lose it, he climbed out of the car and waited for her to calm down.

Jing Lihua threw her head backward and pinched her nose bridge. The vast amount of information was too much for her to handle. Her mind went blank. She was in Hong Kong, right? Last she rembered, she was walking through the forests ready to pass out any mont. Then how co she ended up in that crazy doctor’s arms and why the hell was he half-n.a.k.e.d?

Jing Lihua wanted to cry.

Finally calming herself enough, she climbed out of the van and glanced around. The place was huge, spacious and sparkling; brightened by hundreds of fancy lights. There were dozens of limited edition luxurious cars parked around; many of them didn’t look like if they had ever been touched once. Looked like a VIP private garage of so high ranking character. Jing Lihua’s careful gaze trailed to the side of the car. The crazy doctor was leaning against the car fra; his fingers absentmindedly playing with a cigar; his eyes were hazy.

"Where am I?"

The sudden voice broke him out of his thoughts; he looked at her with an expressionless face; his deep gaze pierced her heart.

"Hong Kong" He had already put on a shirt but it not fully buttoned. His torso peeked through the gap between the shirt. Jing Lihua averted her eyes feeling lost.

During the montary silence that followed, Li Zhiqiang didn’t say anything; just quietly observed her. His lips curled up slightly into a faint smile, barely detectable.

Jing Lihua’s eyebrows furrowed. She steadied her heart. Why was she acting like a child? Her focused eyes t his again.

"Which place it is?"

"Sunset Square apartnts"

Jing Lihua was shocked. "Who are you? How did I end up here..." Jing Lihua charged a series of questions. Sunset Apartnts was one of the highest prized places in Hong Kong. Only those who belonged to the upper class, on an entirely different level with the wealthiest families, could afford to stand there.

Li Zhiqiang’s faint smile beca apparent. His eyes cleared. "We have had our introduction at the hospital before" He squashed his cigar between his fingers and discarded it. "I found you in the forests, passed out and brought you here. That’s how you ended up here"

The man exuded a severe aura. Like he was so nobility. Jing Lihua’s heart hamred against her chest. She took a step away. A piercing pain shoot through her leg when she moved. She felt dizzy and lost her balance. She staggered back. At the point when she felt like she would fall, a pair of arms reached out to support her.

Jing Lihua was a strong woman. How could she accept help from a man?

"Don’t touch !" She glared at him and pushed away his hand. Moreover, her heart had still not cald after waking up in his arms; she didn’t want to be touched by that man again.

Li Zhiqiang’s eyes revealed amus.e.m.e.nt.

"Not a nice way to treat soone who helped you, JingJing"

All Jing Lihua heard was... What did he call her? What did he? JingJing? She stared at him; her eyes full of incredulity for a mont. The next mont, anger. If she had glared at him previously then now she glowered.

Li Zhiqiang tried his best not to laugh. Her glare... How could she look so cute when glaring? He wanted to kiss her right then. In fact, having her in his arms the all the ti and not being able to do anything had him quite hot and bothered. If not for the fact that she was injured and he was worried about her, he would have made a move for sure.

Just for now, he had to burry his urges. Sooner or later he would have her in his arms. He had already made a decision to stay by her side. He couldn’t protect her by keeping her away from him. So from now on, he’ll not leave her side.

"I’ll have you send the reward for helping ." She coldly said.

"Reward?" What kind of reward? Li Zhiqiang’s eyes looked interested. If it was the reward he wanted...

"Monetary reward" Jing Lihua unknowingly burst his bubble of fantasies.

"I don’t want a monetary reward" Li Zhiqiang amus.e.m.e.nt was becoming more and more apparent. "I want you"
