Furious, he threw a punch at him. Tyson collapsed to the ground, his laughter growing louder. But after a mont, he suddenly covered his eyes with his hand and began to weep in agony.
"Julian, the truth is, I don’t know where she went either... or even if she’s still alive right now..."
"What did you say?"
He strode forward and yanked Tyson up from the ground. Tyson’s face was slick with tears.
"I originally put her on a smuggling boat to Syan, but just before I ca here, I received word that the ship was caught in a typhoon at sea..."
"Tyson, I’ll kill you!"
His eyes bloodshot, he roared as he drew his gun and pressed the barrel to Tyson’s head. Tyson didn’t resist, simply closing his eyes.
"Go on, kill . If you kill , I can go to the afterlife and be with her. In my next life, I’ll make sure to marry her early. I’ll never let her et you, never let her suffer this agony and pain!"
Suddenly, I miss you so. Where could you be? Are you happy, or are you hurting? Suddenly, I miss you so. A sudden, sharp mory. A sudden blur in my eyes... Listening to this song by The Maydays, I couldn’t help but think of Donovan and Naomi.
Six years ago, Julian Donovan was a fourth-year student at a top dical school in Syan. That year was both the happiest and the darkest of his life.
The happiest, because he had finally won over his dream girl: Juliet Jennings, the belle of the acting departnt in his year. They rented a small apartnt off-campus and lived a blissful life, just the two of them.
The darkest, because one day, Juliet returned from a film shoot with her clothes in disarray. She tearfully told him that she had been forced to sleep with a sponsor. She said she was "unclean" now, unworthy of him, and that she wanted to break up. Moreover, the man had a criminal background; she couldn’t afford to provoke him and, more importantly, didn’t want to drag Julian down with her.
At that mont, his world went black. He roared that he was going to find that man and make him pay, but Juliet pulled him back.
"Julian, you can’t win against them! You’re just a poor student, while they’re powerful and influential. You’ll be the one who loses in the end! This has already happened to ... but you still have a bright future ahead of you. I just hope you can forget !"
After saying this, Juliet Jennings left without a single look back. He stood alone in the small apartnt that held all their sweet mories and let out a guttural roar of anguish.
He had always been drawn to stunning, aloof won. He found a special sense of accomplishnt in winning them over. He had no interest in the sweet, cutesy type of girl, always feeling they were like children who hadn’t grown up. Juliet was exactly his type: proud and cool, with an undercurrent of seductive charm. On top of that, as an acting student, her poise and aura set her a cut above the other girls, making her the university’s undisputed belle.
He had started pursuing her in the second sester of his freshman year and didn’t succeed for a full two years. Because his family was of average ans, the courtship had been an arduous one. He had genuinely wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
He had planned to work hard to earn the university’s scholarship to study in ridia. Then, they would get married, and she could accompany him there while he continued his dical studies and she did whatever she pleased. In truth, he didn’t really like her acting career, always feeling that industry was a chaotic ss.
But she had said acting was her dream; otherwise, her four years of studying performance would have been for nothing. He respected her wishes, but he never imagined sothing like this would still happen.
