LUCIAN’S POV
Uncle Cadman had called twenty minutes before Conri got back to the mansion. He had explained in detail what had transpired at the foot of the mountain after they had captured Enid, Chakaa, and Judy. After listening to everything he reported, fear gnawed in my stomach. mories of how I was tortured ca rushing and I felt annoyed at the decision they had made. I had expected Conri to kill them all for what they did to
and hang up in the middle of Uncle Cadman’s warning that I should not be harsh to Conri Dolf.
It was an hour to dawn when I sensed Conri’s presence and knew he had co back to the Freki resort. I heard the sighs from him as he ca up to the room and sat up on the bed. The minute he opened the door and saw the look on my face, his body froze and he just resigned to enter and close the door.
" How dare you,?" I seethed at him in anger. "You spared that fucking bitch after the way she tortured ?"
" Uncle Cadman has his reasons for this. Seeing that you already know what happened he must have given you the reason for it. "Conri asserted as he walked towards the bed and stood staring down at .

I leaned down on the bed and closed my eyes pushing the tornt scenes in my head away. I knew that in Conri’s mind, he was being considerate and wanted to ensure I remained protected. But my heart won this round and I did not want to be anywhere near them.
An hour later while deep in thought, I felt the soft snore coming from the corner. Conri was asleep. I got out of bed and picked a shawl by the bedside and silently walked over. I stared at his handso face and reveled in the fact that Conri Dolf was mine. I covered his body and then felt strong arms pick

" You are awake" I stated in low tones.
" Mmmh" He responded in a hum and pulled
closer to him.
" I just wanted to cover your body since I saw you had fallen asleep" I looked away in embarrassnt.
" You know that the cold will never bother " He responded.
" Sleep more. I am going back to bed" I answered.
Conri stood up making
yelp and walked to the bed. He tucked both of us in and then commanded " Sleep"
I remained silent and felt Conri release a frustrated sigh and knew that his control was hanging in a balance. " I am not pushing you away. But every ti I close my eyes, the images are still fresh in my mind" I explained.
" I must confess we never thought it through. " Conri affird.
" I will need more ti before I even consider what you and Uncle Cadman discussed. Knowing Commander Abram’s temper, how did he not kill them at once" I huffed.
" Honestly, I felt sorry for her, " He confessed.
" Conri," I spoke up in a warning tone.
He was quiet for a while before proceeding " You must understand that sotis it is better not to be mated. Can you imagine Enid using her to commit all this madness because he knew she had the scroll in her blood? There is too much evil in this world.l"
" You want

can seal my mind linked with the witch’s scroll?" I muttered through gritted teeth.
" I want you to be able to protect yourself " Conri interjected. " They found that your weakest and strongest point is our mind link. "
" Fucking bastards" I huffed.
"Uncle Cadman and Commander Abram have a plan. Let us wait and hear them out tomorrow." Conri pleaded.
I lifted my head at him and then asked " You can feel that our mind link is not yet intact right? "

" I dont know how " I whispered as my eyes widened and I bared myself to him.

" Please" Conri groaned as he moved back on the pillow and pushed
away.
" You are acting like a baby" I laughed out loud and pulled him back into the embrace. " Fine. I won’t tease you "
" You will regret it once you recover. Your punishnt awaits you "Conri’s threatening voice rasped in my ear
" How hard ?" I grinned my body shaking in amusent.
" Lil pup, you are a brat. It seems that I have spoilt you too much " Conri scolded.
I rubbed myself on him before responding " It’s just that you are so warm"
Conri groaned and then moved to tickle
as we laughed until we were exhausted. The tension between us was broken and we reveled in the warmth of each other.
" You do know that every ti you rub any part of my body, I feel hot" I stated after a minute.
" I was comforting you" Conri’s voice was strained.
I sat up on the bed and said " I have sothing to tell you"
" What is it ?" His eyes widened.
" I am pregnant " I dropped the news.
His eyes widened and he jumped from the bed and stood at a distance staring at
in shock and disbelief. I watched as he listened in and then felt Dolf rise and push the words through to our mind link " Pups"
" Yes " Freki responded.
" I count five heartbeats " Dolf roared.
" Five ?" Conri staggered back and sat on the bedroom floor in shock and awe. I got out of bed, walked over to him, and lowered myself on the floor before him.
" Yes " I nodded and raised my hand in indication.
" You are pregnant ?" He repeated.
" I am " I nodded pleased that I could render the King of Wolves speechless.
" They tortured you when you were pregnant ?" Conri’s eyes flashed in raw anger and Dolf growled in our mindlink.
" You better calm down " Adora’s voice rose.
" Scold him even more. I have to reactivate the blood link once again and that is how Lucian was able to reach out to us" Ranbart retorted.
" How can I calm down when they threatened and tortured our mate? I want them dead " Dolf stated.
" Cadman is right. We need the blood scroll so that I can seal our minds and no one will be able to get through ever." Ranbart announced.
" I am happy about the Pups. Oh, Conri you were vigilant. Five of them? " Adora teased.
" Are you okay ?" Conri asked as tears rolled down his cheeks.
I climbed on his lap and nodded. " I am fine Husband. It was Freki who alerted
the first day they took . I was afraid that they would sense the presence of the pups hence Freki used her power to ensure no one could sense that I was pregnant"
" Your scent had already changed days before and I wondered why I could no longer scent anything in you " Conri responded as he hiccuped and rubbed my back. " Tomorrow I will ask the pack doctor to co and see you"
" Not yet. I am not ready to share this news with anyone " I confessed.
" I am releasing the power and returning your scent " Freki pushed the words through. In a matter of minutes, I saw Conris’s nose flare and then he listened in a large smile plastered on his face as he stared at
