Chapter 114: SHOCKING FACTS
It was late afternoon when I dragged myself to Luna’s clutches and rushed to the City council offices to deliver the land docunts. The city council officer’s eyes widened as he read my request.
"What is this? " He gasped.
"Conri Dolf is donating all the land around the mines to the pack. " I spoke out loudly to catch the attention of everyone in the room.
"Lower your voice, "The guy whispered.
"Why should I lower my voice?" I spoke out loud.
"Did you say donate?" One of the council mbers asked.
’ "Yes. Donate the lands to the pack mbers’" I yelled out loud.
The city council officer sat down in defeat as the pack mbers clapped happily.
"You better process the request, "I warned him before I left. Matching out of the city council offices, I chuckled as I got into the car. The buzzing on my phone made
delay in leaving the city council offices and I picked up her call.
"Elder Zaya, did you sleep well?" I grinned.
"From the sound of your voice, I can tell you submitted the docunts at the city council offices.
"I did" I chuckled.
"I have good news. The Yakuza have left Japan with Lyal Aria. He should arrive in Alaska in seven hours. He will arrive at night and when he does, we shall be prepared to take him to the Golden Shifter pack offices. Have the n pick him up secretly at the airport. "
"Yes, Ma’am" I piped. "Did you speak to Conri about what we planned ?"
"Yes. They will leave tomorrow morning, " Elder Zaya inford .
The knocking on my window interrupted my call, and I turned to see Boris Carter looking furious as he stood beside my car.
"I might have to call you back. Boris Carter is here " I stated.
"Good luck, "Edler Zaya chuckled and disconnected the call.
I rolled down the window and raised an eyebrow at Boris Carter" What is it ?"
"Benjamin, are you ntal? Why are you spreading rumors all over the pack about Conri Donating the land around his mines?" Boris’ eyes looked frightened with fear.
"Rumours? Conri Dolf asked
to submit the docunts on his behalf."
"You are bluffing, " Boris whispered.
"No. He has donated all the land around the mines to the pack. To be precise, the gold mine, "I whispered.
"Impossible" Boris staggered back.
"You wish. He has a right to do whatever he wants with his lands. " I grinned.
Boris shook his head in disbelief and rushed back to the council offices.
"How about that for a shocker" I grinned, switched on the car, and left the council offices. I drove to the pub, after sending the pack mbers working for Conri to the airport.
Hours later, I whistled as I prepared for the pub opening in the evening and even spent ti with the chef in the kitchen. The call from Elder Zaya ca at close to eight pm when she inford
that the jet had landed in the private airstrip next to her ho. She would send Lyal over to the pub so that I could take him into the pack office.
I Impatiently paced up and down the back office as I waited for them to arrive. The two cars stread in and Elias Wyat, the man in charge of Elder Zaya’s security team, alighted from the car.
"Benjamin, we have the package" He grinned.
"Good. Let us leave at once for the Golden Pack offices" I went round the car and boarded it as we left the pub. We drove to the pack’s office and took Lyal out of the car as he had a black bag over his head. We dragged him to the office and found that Elder Zaya had already arrived. She was accompanied by Conri and Lucian.
"You made it, "Elder Zaya bead as she stood up.
"I did "I nodded.
"Tell Lobo Aria to co out. I want to see him," Elder Zaya’s voice cut across the room.
The pack enforcers rushed to Lobo Aria’s office and in minutes he arrived accompanied by Boris and Hunter.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Elder Zaya," Lobo Aria muttered through gritted teeth.
"Bring him forward, "Elder Zaya commanded, and Elias removed the bag over his head and the whole room gasped. Boris staggered back. Hunter’s eyes widened while Lobo was tongue-tied.
’ Well, well, well, what do we have here? " Lucian chuckled.
" He was picked in Japan as he tried to sneak into Canada. A murderer already on the loose? Is this how the pack is operating?" Elder Zaya growled.
’ Wait a minute," Lobo Aria spoke up.
"I don’t have a minute, " Elder Zaya interjected and then pressed on" The pack rules are clear"
"You are causing a farce," Lobo growled.
" Your brother was in Japan, trading with the Yakuza while he should be in prison, Lobo Aria. Are you lenient to your brother who kidnapped
and drugged ? " Lucian stepped forward.
"Shut up. It was that bitch Duciana that did it, "Lyal yelled.
We all watched as Eliana Due appeared and slapped Lyal so hard that he fell on the packed office floor
"I dare you to repeat what you said, " Eliana seethed.
Lyal remained on the ground, looking annoyed and irritated.
"I don’t trust the pack anymore. It seems Lobo Aria favored his brother and did not punish him. I would urge the KODA council to take over this case," Eliana asserted.
"Am I too late? I heard you ntion the KODA council. " Luna’s voice reached my ears and a small smile played on my lips. She was truly aweso and always arrived on ti.
"You are right on ti, " I piped as I watched the emotions play on Lobo Aria’s face. Surprisingly, Hunter seed quiet through all this while Boris’ hand shook in fear.
"There is a holding cell at the KODA council. Let us hold Lyal there," Elder Zaya announced.
"I am the Alpha of the pack, " Lobo Aria growled.
"Then act like it, "Elder Zaya growled back, and we realized that Lobo Aria was no match for her powers. "Act like the damn Alpha. You let your brother leave the country after drugging my son-in-law. Only to discover you have dealings with the Yakuza. You are not fit to be Alpha. "
"You don’t get to decide, " Lobo Aria yelled.
"The KODA council and hundreds of the pack mbers will. "Luna asserted. " That is the pack rule when we find out that the Alpha is not fit to be the rule of the pack"
"Shit," Lyal gasped, while Boris’ eyes looked bewildered.
"Aren’t you all jumping the gun ?" Hunter stepped forward. " You need to present evidence that Alpha Lobo was the one who let Lyal out. Alpha Lobo has nothing to do with this"
"Oh, shut your mouth! " Lyal scread.
"You better watch what you say, "We heard Zineb Aria from behind us. She walked over and pinched Lyal’s ears and said, "You better choose your words carefully. Dont drag Lobo into your ss. "She then slowly walked and stood by Alpha Lobo.
"I know the devil when I see one, " Luna muttered as her eyes were glued to Zineb.
"Who is this?" Zineb raised an eyebrow at Luna.
"Soone who knows that your womb is barren and hence there is no way you would have given birth to Luke," Luna announced.
Zineb’s eyes looked wild and shocked as she stared at Luna and whispered " Alpha She-wolf"
"You are right. "Luna raised her chin. "Lisha, my wolf can sense everything in all-female wolves. You are not Luke Aria’s mother. You lied about this Zineb"
Zineb rushed out of the pack’s office and fled.
"What the fuck was that?" Lucian whispered.
"So truths will always show themselves regardless of how much we hide it "Conri stated as he turned to Elanor and said, "I suggest you do a DNA test, compare your DNA and Luke’s. It senses so traces of Due blood in him. If I am not wrong, he must be Duciana’s son."
"What?" Lobo and Elanor both gasped.
We all heard Lyal groan, and he closed his eyes.
" Please don’t tell
you are the father of Duciana’s son?" I whispered.
"Shit?" Boris gasped.
"Unbelievable "Elder Zaya shook her head.
"What is the drama?" Lucian demanded.
Lobo Aria turned around and walked to his office. We heard the crashing of things and knew that he was throwing a fit.
" Take this piece of garbage to the KODA council. Double up the security team, " Elder Zaya commanded Elias.
"Yes, Ma’am" He nodded as they picked Lyal up and left. Boris Carter and Hunter followed Lobo Aria into his office.
"Did you say She wolf? " Elder Zaya turned to Luna and Luna blushed shyly.
"Does that an you can challenge Lobo Aria for the position of the pack? " Conri interjected.
"No" Elder Zaya, Lucian, and I responded in unison
"Does it? "Conri pressed on.
"The position of the Alpha of the Golden pack belongs to you Conri Dolf, and that will never change " Luna asserted in her voice.
