’’P-Please... F-Forgive ... I’m sorry.’’ Jeff groaned, trying to speak. His face twisted in agony as another punch wrecked his abdon.

His head dropped in exhaustion, but Scarlet just yanked his hair up. She said coldly,

’’Forgive? Sorry? For what?’’

Jeff’s vision blurred for a mont as he tried to think of sothing to say.

’’F-For everything.’’

Actually, he didn’t even know what he had done to her. But he had to spit out anything he could think of right now. Otherwise, Scarlet would kill him.

In a ga where they had no connection to the outside world, no one could save him.

Scarlet narrowed her eyes for a mont before laughing psychotically. At so point, she stopped and said,

’’I’ve changed my mind.’’

That sentence startled both Travis and Jeff. Jeff, especially, just stared at her, gulping in fear.

Although he had imagined what she might do next, he could only hope it wasn’t true.

Scarlet’s face darkened as two streams of tears rolled down her cheeks. A crimson fla slowly erged in her hand as she said,

’’It’s all I can do for my man.’’

Jeff’s pupils widened. He stamred in terror as Scarlet’s fla-covered hand moved toward his face.

’’W-Wait—wait... Don’t do that... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!—

Soon, the crimson, deadly fla engulfed Jeff’s body, cruelly burning every Jeff’s cells. A charred sll spread through the prison as his agonized screams echoed everywhere.

Even when Jeff tried to fight back with his skill, it was useless. The fla burning him wasn’t normal—it was the Dragon King’s fla. The fuel that kept it burning was the mana within the body, so as long as any mana remained, the fire would not go out.

After four minutes of struggling, Jeff was nothing more than a charred corpse.

He was dead for sure.

Travis let out a long breath. He intended to say sothing to Scarlet, yet she just tilted her head, glancing at him with hollow eyes.

She forced a smile, still wearing that psychotic expression as two streams of tears rolled down her face.

’’Should I kill you? You’re one of those who bullied my husband, too.’’

Travis took a few steps back, struggling to control his fear. He knew he had no chance against Scarlet, so he had to choose his words carefully if he didn’t want to die.

Scarlet had beco a completely different person—soone ready to kill anyone she thought deserved it.

Cruel. Brutal.

His heartbeat raced nonstop as he spoke.

’’O-Of course not... You shouldn’t... because you need to get revenge for your husband... Do you rember?’’

For a mont, Scarlet cald down and tightened her fist. She wiped away her tears before heading toward the prison door.

Before stepping out, she glanced at Travis one last ti and spoke in a cold, warning voice.

’’This is your last warning... Next ti ya dare look at with those filthy eyes, I’ll rip them out—and burn your dick, too.’’

Travis gulped and nodded unconsciously.

But suddenly, she tilted her head and chuckled like a madwoman. Her eyes glead with brutality.

’’N-No... I’ve changed my mind again... I should do it right now.’’

3 days later.

Rocky lay with one leg thrown over the other on Matt’s back, which was in his massive form. Sotis, he yawned while scratching his head.

He glanced at the beautiful sky, then stood up and looked around. The snowstorm had completely ended.

Rocky glanced down at Paul and asked,

’’When will we arrive at the outpost of humanity?.. It’s already been three days.’’

Paul shrugged and answered,

’’Well, at this rate, if the snowstorm doesn’t co back or we don’t run into any monsters, we’ll arrive in about six hours.’’

Another soldier just nodded with a smile.

"That’s right. Finally, I can take a nap when we get back."

Other soldiers started gossiping about their own business that Rocky didn’t care about.

Six hours later, all of them arrived at the outpost of humanity, just as Paul had said. Rocky took a look at it—it was vast and solid, easily three to four tis larger than the demon outpost they had seen before.

He sighed and lay back down on Matt’s back, recalling what Paul had said.

Currently, in this ga, humanity had two great commanders: Scarlet Kirk and William Hayden. anwhile, the ancient race also had two: Doran Hill and Thora Hill.

It was considered a powerful force, but it still couldn’t match the demons. They had seven great commanders. If that information was true, it would be a big problem, especially since humanity and the ancient race were operating separately like this.

However, as he thought about the ga, he summoned the runes.

[300 Days – Day 17: 12:00 remaining.]

Current points: 29202 points

(Right, I just need to endure this ga for 300 days. We don’t need to risk our lives fighting demons and monsters.)

At so point, they had already reached the outpost of humanity.

A soldier called out loudly to Rocky.

"Hey, which unit do you belong to?"

Rocky glanced down. He was about to say sothing, but Paul quickly explained things to the soldier.

The soldier nodded in understanding and said to Paul,

"First, you guys should get so rest. I guess you’ve had a long day in the snowstorm."

Then he turned to Rocky.

"And you, follow . We’ll et the commander before assigning you to a new unit."

Rocky scratched his head.

"Not a great commander?"

The soldier blinked for a mont and said,

"You’re overestimating yourself... You’re just a common soldier. What right do you have to et them? Besides, they’re always busy on the battlefield. Right now, none of them are at the outpost."

Rocky sighed in disappointnt, though he had hoped he might still get a chance to et her while staying here.

Ten minutes later.

Rocky arrived at a large building under the soldier’s guidance. He stepped inside, where a black-haired man was sitting in an officer’s chair. He was writing sothing on paper before turning his attention to Rocky.

He spoke in a polite voice,

"Rocky Stephens, right?... Please, take a seat."
