"Take half."

Rocky said without hesitation. Then he triggered the rule of the world to give Alina half the points of what he had.

Alina frowned. Her voice carried a bit of awkwardness.

"Really? I didn’t even deserve that much. Most of the points ca from your stuff."

She thought Rocky would’ve shared a quarter with her, not this many points—it didn’t match what she had done.

Rocky shrugged slightly.

"Don’t bother that much. You need the points more than I do. If you feel like you owe , just take it as my pay to you for those ons."

Rocky understood that Alina’s beast was a support type, so she was always at a disadvantage. Her earning points in this world by killing was hell for her. With that, at least, he would feel a bit relieved for the next few days while he was gone.

[300 Days – Day 3: 11:53 remaining.]

Current points: 10,606 points

There was still a lot left, but Rocky didn’t stay happy for long since those points were only temporary.

Once the third day ended at 00:00 a.m., he would lose 9,545 to the high-tier areas’ hands. The more points he got, the more points the high-top players on the ranking board would take.

He and Alina right now were nothing but number one slaves for them.

(I don’t like it.)

Rocky clicked his tongue, and the next mont, he said,

" You guys should rest tomorrow. We won’t sell weapons anymore."

It was unnecessary to try earning points blindly, only to hand them over to others. But this day wasn’t a waste of ti — a lesson that he could earn a lot of money that way, just not at this timing.

Firstly, perhaps they would earn points by killing enough monsters each day before they found a way to escape from this slave land.

"Argh."

Alina suddenly held her head as a wave of pain surged through it. She stumbled several tis before Rocky caught her in ti.

It seed Alina had another on.

She was breathless as she leaned against Rocky’s chest. Her hands were sticky because sweat flowed from a tingle of fear.

She saw Rocky’s death again, but this ti she wasn’t panicking like before, because she knew the real value of her on.

It was sothing abstract that so people could shift in another direction. But only Rocky was able to do sothing impossible like that. Unlike others, they would die.

"R-Rocky... I saw... I saw you being stabbed from behind... by an elf."

Rocky rubbed his chin several tis while thinking about Alina’s on. Then he asked,

"Can you describe that elf?"

Alina’s wrinkles deepened as she struggled to dig through her mory... a short glimpse flashed in her mind. It was really too much for her, though.

"S-Sorry. I can’t."

A heavy disappointnt was carved across her face, as if she had just done sothing wrong to her parents.

It was relatively upsetting. For the first ti, she had hoped her ability was stronger.

Rocky nodded before smiling quietly.

"That’s more than enough for . Thank you."

***

After eating the breakfast Alina made, Rocky stood on top of a rock along the sandy sea. He took a breath before blinking for a while.

A good morning ever since he ca to this world, as he didn’t need to kill monsters anymore. With the large points left from yesterday, he believed he could survive at the end of day. And the most important thing he could do was save his energy and prepare the best things for the journey in the valleys.

A big advantage he had, compared to others who still had to kill monsters just to get enough points for the day before acting.

Rocky scratched the back of his head for a mont, then ca back to his shelter and gave Alina so advice.

Bobby jumped onto Rocky’s shoulders, and they quickly approached the eting spot they had ntioned.

"Everyone ready?... We need to depart soon. The valleys have many monsters, even sothing freaky waiting for us. If we go too late, ti won’t be on our side."

He added in a heavy voice,

"We can’t last in battle overnight."

Indeed, if the battle dragged on for too long, their journey would be nothing more than a suicide . The next day would kill them if they didn’t earn points. And of course, they could never do that in such an exhausted state after fighting overnight.

Ti was the core.

"Damn it! As if only you know that." An elf clicked his tongue in discomfort while sitting on a rock.

He and his beast had fought monsters from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., only to secure enough points for the end of today.

Even though they could kill monsters in the valleys to earn points, nothing guaranteed the journey would succeed, so they needed to prepare a good umbrella for the worst case.

A good preparation, or just overthinking. Most people here shared the sa weary state—not only physical, but also ntal. Even after resting for two hours, it was hard to regain all the power they had earlier today.

Leon, an elf, blinked for a while as he glanced at his fellows. He shook his head slightly and showed the sa thoughts about everyone’s worry.

However, in order to rescue their beasts, they couldn’t let ti pass like that. So, 30 minutes later, he urged everybody to start and depart.

Rocky let out a long breath, not out of tiredness, but from a dull feeling after waiting two hours for nothing.

When thinking back on the benefits of those hours, though, it wasn’t a waste at all.

Rocky smiled before pulling the hood over his head up, even Bobby’s. Alina had crafted them from plants and seaweed by the shore—thanks to that, he could avoid the harsh, biting winds of this land’s weather.

"Soti... I wonder if I’m the one who’s overthinking, preparing from such tiny steps."

He smirked as if responding to his own previous words.

"It’s always necessary."
