“Is Cedric that petty? Isabella and I went shopping in the afternoon. Now that we’re hungry, we will eat together!” Hands on hips, Jane fiercely said, “They are not dating and are not talking about business secrets. Why can’t I go up? I will pay for the portion I eat myself, okay?”

After a pause, he looked at Isabella and said, “Mr. Cedric said that although he is treating tonight, Ms. Isabella, you have sothing to ask of him after all. If you really don’t want to see him, just don’t go up.”
Isabella frowned and said to Gerry, “Then please wait here. Jane and I will go up.”
Gerry imdiately shook his head, “Mr. Joseph asked to follow you. I have to protect you closely.”
Jane imdiately gave Gerry a flirtatious look. “Don’t worry, Gerry. Isabella has by her side. I, Jane, have protected her for nearly twenty years. Do you understand? When I protected her, you were just a little boy.”
Gerry’s face darkened. “Miss Jane!”

Isabella smiled and interrupted their conversation. In fact, Jane was right. Jane had protected Isabella more than once since they were young.

However, when he saw Isabella dressed in sportswear and bringing along a beautiful but unfamiliar woman, his joy instantly disappeared. “Isabella ... why are you dressed like this?”
“I usually dress up in this way when I et my friends. It’s so comfortable.” Isabella smiled politely.
Cedric frowned when he heard that Isabella deliberately emphasized the word “friends”.

Cedric’s eyes darkened as he grabbed onto Isabella’s wrist. “I’ve seen how you look like when you wear pajamas and slippers. Why would I care if you wore sportswear and went on a date with ? You look very beautiful in this way too. I like it very much.”
Isabella looked at Cedric holding his wrist and wanted to pull it out in embarrassnt.
Jane, who was at the side, saw this scene and imdiately reached out to Cedric in high spirits, “Mr. Cedric, I’ve heard so much about you. I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Isabella’s sixteen-year-old classmate and best friend. Nice to et you.”

Isabella sat down and went straight to the point. “Cedric, you said that as long as I co to see you tonight, you would stretch rules and allow the designing institute to seal this appraisal report.”
“I also said you shouldn’t call Cedric.”
Cedric interrupted Isabella directly, “Since we have no relationship anymore, don’t call so closely.”
Isabella lowered her head awkwardly and said, “Sorry, Mr. Cedric.”
Cedric looked at Isabella and frowned. “Let’s talk about this later. I don’t want to talk about this before dinner.”
“OK.”
After Isabella said OK, the atmosphere instantly beca very strange.
The opening was awkward, and the serving was silent. Besides, there was almost no communication process.
Jane and Isabella kept chattering. She did not want to give Cedric the chance to talk to Isabella alone. However, they did not expect Cedric to not want to talk to Isabella at all. He just drank and listened to their conversation in silence. Then, he occasionally politely said a few words and introduced so dishes to them.
The dinner lasted for nearly an hour. Jane tried her best but failed to successfully strike up a conversation with Cedric. Instead, she joked and laughed with Isabella like two clowns.
Seeing that the ti was almost up, Isabella finally put down her bowl and fork and said seriously, “Cedric, I’ve finished eating.”
Although he had asked Isabella to eat more, in this one hour, Cedric barely ate anything. He had been waving his wine glass or drinking with his eyes lowered the entire ti. When he heard Isabella say that she had finished eating, he reminded her, “There’s also dessert after dinner. I’ve ordered your favorite red macaroon.”
Isabella directly refused, “But I’m full tonight. I don’t want to eat dessert anymore.”
Cedric finally raised his eyes.
Isabella t Cedric’s gaze. “I know Mr. Cedric didn’t invite here just for a al. What do you want? Tell now.”
Cedric silently stared at Isabella’s beautiful face for a long ti before saying, “I didn’t invite you here today to eat. Actually, I wanted to show you sothing.”
Isabella had always felt that Cedric’s “invitation” this ti seed a little dangerous. In her heart, she was very afraid that he would go too far and do sothing bad to her. However, he only said that he wanted to show her sothing.
“What is it?” Isabella asked.
Cedric stood up and walked over to a telescope. “Co and take a look. There is very good scenery over there tonight. I want you to see it.”
