Isabella made up her mind and tried to cheer herself up. She threw her phone into her bag, changed her clothes, and took a taxi to the Stretton family’s private hospital.
Just as she got in the taxi, her phone rang again.
Isabella didn’t recognize the number and picked it up. “Hello...”
“I’m injured!”
Joseph beca smarter this ti and cut to the chase, “Co to see in the VIP ward of the city hospital. Bring so soup. I’m hungry!”
Isabella felt relaxed. For so reason, she didn’t feel agitated when she heard Joseph’s voice again. “You have a great chef. Why do you want to bring you soup?”

Joseph was really good at finding excuses for himself. Isabella pursed her lips and said ruthlessly, “Then let William cook for you. He is on your side.”

“Are you coming or not?” Isabella was silent. Joseph couldn’t help but ask.

Joseph was afraid that Isabella would hang up the phone. After yelling, he said in a low voice, “Let put it this way, Isabella. The one-month agreent between us has is not over yet. My grandpa has not passed away, and your job isn’t over. Do you rember the two conditions you ntioned? If you don’t co today, I won’t stop harassing you. I know you take a fancy to Cedric. Do you think you’ve got a backer? I’ll never let you be at peace!”
“Joseph!” Isabella was about to go crazy, “Why are you so shaless? This matter has nothing to do with Cedric!”
“I am not only shaless, but I am also domineering and powerful! It is 6:30 now. If you do not show up before 8, I will make you regret it for the rest of your life!”

Joseph hung up.
This ti, Joseph hung up on Isabella. He ruthlessly retaliated against Isabella’s disrespect just now. Joseph proudly shook his legs on the bed. “Gerry, get twenty bodyguards. When Isabella cos over later, I want to kidnap her.”

“Yes, but you haven’t eaten anything yet. Do you want to eat sothing first...”
“There is no need. I’m in a good mood. I don’t need to eat.”
William looked at his pocket watch and said with mixed feelings, “It’s better to eat sothing. Miss Isabella is not gonna make it. It will take her so ti to cook soup.”
Joseph said, “Then send her a ssage and tell her that there is a kitchen here. Tell her to co before 7:30!”

Joseph hung up the phone and threatened Isabella. Isabella smashed the seat in frustration. “How could there be such a rude and unreasonable man in the world? How could there be such a shaless man?”
The taxi driver was a kind middle-aged man. When he saw Isabella’s conflicted expression, he could not help but laugh. “Your boyfriend?”
Isabella cald down a little and pursed her lips. “Ex-boyfriend.”
“Does he want to get back together with you?”
“How is that possible? He can’t forget his ex-girlfriend, and he doesn’t care about . I’m still young. I have plenty of choices!” Isabella pursed her lips.
“Is that so?”
“I heard from his tone that he actually quite likes you.” The driver was a little surprised.
Isabella said in disdain, “Did you hear him? He is so an. Does he sound like he likes ? He is shaless, childish, domineering, and unreasonable!”
The driver smiled.
“I might be wrong, but I think a man will be childish only in front of the woman he likes,” the driver said.
“Really?”

Isabella pursed her lips. “No way.”

Isabella laughed out.
“Interesting. I didn’t expect you to be such a romantic person,” Isabella could not help but laugh.

“I’ve promised my wife that I’ll protect her, and she’ll also protect !” The driver patted his chest.
Isabella looked down and was lost in her thoughts. “I protect him. He protects ...”
They had a joyful conversation. The driver even gave Isabella a discount. Isabella was very sure that the driver was a kind man. So when she entered the hospital, she could not help thinking about what he said on the way.
“This woman must be his true love. The man will feel safe around this woman...”
Isabella pursed her lips. “Am I his true love? Will he dote on ?”
As she thought, the elevator reached the 16th floor of the private hospital, where Cedric was.
Cedric was hospitalized, so Cedric was the only patient on the entire 16th floor. Isabella easily found Cedric’s ward.
He was sitting at the small table on the bed and drinking soup.
“What happened to you?”
“If it wasn’t for the fact that you were the only one here, I wouldn’t have recognized you.” Isabella looked at Cedric’s swollen face in surprise.
Cedric raised his head and smiled warmly. Unfortunately, his face was twisted and his smile looked a little scary.
Isabella shivered, and Cedric instantly covered his face with a napkin. “Don’t look at . My face is scary. It was just an accident.”
“Didn’t you go out to et your friends?”
Isabella took the napkin away. “I’m not afraid. What happened? Did you run into gangsters on your way back?”
