The night went silently as both Amara and her Father Long slept with wounds. Now the real question of 'who is going to control the weapon spirit' stood before Farus' family camp.

The morning after the grueling battle dawned with a heavy silence over the Farus camp.

Amara lay in the dical tent, pale and weak but conscious. Beside her, Patriarch Long sat propped up against a pile of cushions, his face lined with exhaustion. The strain of controlling the White Snake Spirit had taken its toll on both of them.

Usually, it shouldn't be so serious. But the arrival of that sorceress lady Maya changed the entire dynamics of the battle.

"Amara," Patriarch Long called, his voice hoarse, "you've done more than anyone could have asked. You should rest now. I already lost a son. I'm not ready to lose my daughter."

Amara shook her head weakly, her eyes blazing with determination. "There's no ti for rest, Father. We need to talk about the future of the White Snake Spirit."

Long frowned. "The spirit belongs to our family, Amara. It's our legacy, passed down for generations. What more is there to discuss? Your sister will take control of the white snake spirit as usual."

"Do you think she can stand against that sorceress lady? What if she also fell victim? Who is going to take charge then?" Amara asked in a serious tone.

Only a silence ca in reply.

Amara turned her head slightly, her gaze falling on Das, who stood a few feet away, leaning casually against the tent pole. His blood-red sword hung from his belt, and his expression was as unreadable as ever.

"Father," Amara called, her voice steady despite her weakness, "I'm proposing sothing unprecedented. I want Das to take control of the White Snake Spirit."

The words hung in the air like a thunderclap. Long stared at her in disbelief, his mouth opening and closing as he struggled to form a response.

"You… what?" he finally managed. "Amara, do you even understand what you're saying? This is treason against the Farus family's traditions!"

"Traditions won't save us, Father!" Amara snapped, surprising even herself with the force of her words. "Das is the only one capable of bearing the spirit's ntal burden. You saw it yourself—he stood against the Scorpion Spirit without flinching all alone. He saved , and he turned the tide of the battle."

Das raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. "Nice speech, but are you sure about this? I'm not exactly the most 'family-friendly' guy." But inside, Das was excited like a child. The ploy he worked and fought is finally happening.

Amara ignored him, focusing entirely on Long. "Father, I know this goes against everything we've been taught, but the White Snake Spirit doesn't need tradition—it needs a master who can wield it to its fullest potential. And that person is Das."

"Amara, I can understand your intention. But to do this, Das must beco part of our family through blood. A pure girl of my bloodline must spend a night with him. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Patriarch Long asked in a frustrated tone.

"Father, I'm your elder daughter and I know family rules better. Das and Lily already share a bond. We just need to willfully pass command to him. This is my decision." Amara declared leaving the final nod to patriarch Long.

Soon, the word of Amara's proposal spread quickly through the Farus camp, and by midday, the family's inner council had gathered in the central tent. Tension crackled in the air as mbers of the council debated furiously.

"This is outrageous!" shouted Elder Farin, an older man with a sharp, commanding voice. "The White Snake Spirit is the heart of our family's power. Handing it over to an outsider is unthinkable!"

"Especially to soone like him," sneered Lady Keira, a high-ranking family mber known for her disdain of commoners. She pointed a manicured finger at Das, who had been invited to the eting at Amara's insistence. "He's brash, reckless, and completely untrustworthy!"

Das smirked, clearly enjoying the drama. "Watch your tongue, Lady. I'm not a good guy to start with."

"Enough!" Patriarch Long bellowed, silencing the room. He turned to Amara, his expression grim. "Amara, you've always been one of our brightest stars. But this… this is madness. How can you expect us to trust the family's greatest treasure to soone who isn't even one of us?"

Amara stepped forward, leaning heavily on the table for support. Her voice was firm, despite her obvious exhaustion. "Because Das has proven himself in ways that none of us have. He doesn't need to be 'one of us' to do what's right for the spirit—and for the family. Also, after the bond, he will beco part of the family."

"And what happens when he turns against us?" Elder Farin pressed. "What if he decides to use the White Snake Spirit for his own gain?"

"You don't need to worry about that, old man," Das interjected, "If you want, I will take a vow to the white snake spirit. I can guarantee that I won't use that power again Farus family. Does that satisfy you?"

Gasps rippled through the council, but Amara raised a hand to silence them.

"Das doesn't need to prove anything to you," she said, her tone icy. "He's already done more for this family than most of us ever have. If you can't see that, then maybe you're the ones unworthy of the spirit."

The room fell into an uneasy silence. Long rubbed his temples, clearly torn.

"Amara," he said quietly, "you're asking us to break centuries of tradition. The consequences—"

"Traditions can change," she interrupted. "And if we don't adapt, the Taurus family will destroy us. Is that the legacy you want to leave behind?"

Despite Amara's passionate plea, the council was far from convinced. After hours of heated debate, Patriarch Long finally made a decision.

"Very well," he said, his voice heavy with resignation. "Das, if you're to take control of the White Snake Spirit, you must prove your worthiness. There will be a test."

Das tilted his head, intrigued. "A test? Sounds fun. What's the catch?"

"You'll face the spirit itself," Long explained. "If it accepts you, then we'll have no choice but to agree. But if it rejects you… you may not survive."

Amara's eyes widened in alarm. "Patriarch, that's—"

"It's the only way," Long said firmly. "The spirit chooses its master, not us."

Das shrugged, a cocky grin spreading across his face. "Sounds fair. Let's get this over with."
