Chapter 145: Only bloom for , Knox Arden

Athan’s eyes narrowed in his younger brother who kept fiddling with his fingers after putting Knoa to sleep. He ca to visit and check their new ho, but it seed like he arrived at a bad ti, seeing how the host looked bothered by sothing.

Athan probed, but Knox just waved his hand, dismissing his suspicion. He sighed and just stood. Before he left, he inford Knox about sothing, "I don’t think I should tell you this, but...Althea told

about sothing."

Knox’s heart beat nervously. Athan already knew about Knoa and Azrael, so he shouldn’t be worried at all, but the thought that Althea brought it up to Athan and soone also made him extrely anxious.

His hand trembled ever slightly, thus he hid them behind his back as he stood before Athan, waiting for his next words.

Athan pursed his lips, seemingly annoyed about sothing, before speaking again, "I heard that bastard is advertising his na on the charity organization society, advocating for the poor and underprivileged, doing and sponsoring outreach programs in remote areas and such. Althea told

she t him the other day at a fundraising event at the Palace Hotel and donated eight digits in dollars. Did you know?"

Knox’s jaw fell in disbelief. Athan squinted his eyes at the oga, feeling doubtful at his brother’s expression. Knox shook his head trendously. He really didn’t know! Azrael never told him anything, but he couldn’t tell Athan that, could he?

He zipped his mouth and just stared back at his brother with honest eyes. Athan sighed and added, "I’m telling you this because...you know, I have this feeling that bastard is up to sothing. Anyway, I should go. You should rest. Goodnight."

Athan kissed him on the forehead, one thing that he always did. After eting him and learning of what life he led, Athan beca adamant about showing his affection through those little gestures.

Knox appreciated him so much. He warmly smiled at his brother and answered, "Yeah. Goodnight, too. Drive safely."

He waved and watched Athan until the elevator’s door closed. His eyes then shifted to the door of the first unit. He was reminded of what he saw earlier, and he couldn’t help but feel ugly. Azrael probably followed him and almost bumped into Athan if Sandro hadn’t hidden him.

He shouldn’t think otherwise, Knox convinced himself. He shook his head to erase that image in his mind and decided to go back ho.

’It was late already, maybe he’s resting now. Besides, I can’t leave Knoa alone inside even if he’s just on the other side of these walls. Oh, right! My phone...! I couldn’t answer earlier because Athan was here...’ Knox rushed back to the room and grabbed his phone.

He felt bad after seeing twenty missed calls. He was about to call Azrael when the doorbell rang, and after checking who it was from the monitor, Knox almost flew back to the door, opening it hurriedly.

He prepared himself to explain why he couldn’t answer the phone, but his face was slamd into a solid, thick chest instead, startling him to the core.

Then, a shaky, anxious voice echoed in his ears, "It was just an act! Sandro pulled

the mont your brother appeared. I was astonished so I couldn’t react properly, but believe , it didn’t an anything! F*ck, I even feel disgusted by that bastard’s pheromones but—huh?"

Azrael stopped rambling after sniffing that delicate, sweet floral sll of lavender. It was so intense that his mind went blank for a mont, and he saw himself walking in the purple fields of lavender that span beyond imasurable.

It was like a magical place that Knox’s scent brought him into, relaxing and soothing.

He hated ogas because of his father, and he had forgotten what it’s like to be around one, but at that mont, he was grateful that his hatred made him push ogas away so that only Knox Arden’s scent was the only one capable of making him feel that way.

Like a newly hatched bird from its shell that would imprint the first thing it would et, Knox’s scent was the first and the only one he wanted to imrse himself into, the only one he wanted to rile him, make him grovel, hard, and drive him mad.

Only him, Knox Arden.

From his face buried in the alpha’s chest, Knox looked up, he tiptoed and planted a soft kiss on Azrael’s chin. Then, he said with a pout, "I know. I’m not thinking of anything, okay? I’m just sulking. You’re entirely covered by Sandro’s pheromones. I guess even though it was an alpha’s scent, I still hate it."

Azrael’s eyes twinkled in delight. He suppressed a wide grin from forming and responded cheekily, "What, so you’re jealous even of alphas?"

Knox frowned. He suddenly rembered sothing, "Now that I think about it, you hated ogas before. And by that arrogant attitude of yours, you probably only dated alphas before. I have all the right to be jealous. How would I know if Sandro is really just your college friend? Hmph!"

Knox pushed the alpha away and turned his back. He walked to the living room, pretending he was in a bad mood. Azrael followed him. Without making any noise, he pulled Knox to the couch and sat him on his lap.

Knox almost yelped from the sudden movent, but no sound escaped his mouth as it was imdiately blocked by Azrael’s lips.

Between kisses, the alpha muttered clearly, a hint of amusent in his deep, manly voice, "Why are you bringing the past now? I can swear I never had that kind of relationship with him. You can ask Kayden or Rian for confirmation if you want."

Azrael nuzzled his head on Knox’s chest and whined, "I’m the one who should be sulking here. Just thinking about the people you’ve dated, kissed, or touched like this," his hand slipped inside Knox’s shirt. He gently caressed his side until his fingers brushed on his nipple, making Knox flinch and flustered. Azrael grinned and continued, "Is enough to drive

mad."

Knox adjusted in his seat. Azrael’s every touch was riling sothing inside him. He pushed the alpha away and cupped his face, but Azrael caught his hands and bit on his thumb finger instead.

He gazed at Knox with fervor as he spoke accusingly, "Where have you been? Why did you only appear when I’ve already spent most of my ’first ti’ with soone else?"

From biting his thumb, Azrael kissed his palm afterward, without stopping from spouting phrases that only added to the heat coiling inside Knox’s stomach, "Now, I regret them. If I knew I’d et you, Knox Arden, I would have remained celibate. There’s nothing I can do now. But hear this, from this point on, I will shower you with everything I have. So, bloom only for , Knox Arden."

Those were the last words Knox heard before his head was completely filled with nothing but desire to have Azrael in him, showering him with his endless touches and kisses, along with his possessive yet loving scent claiming him entirely.
