"Ide."

The na rolled off her tongue so smoothly and naturally that it even stunned her for a mont.

The dream flashed back from her mories — the one where she still rembered the guy. His face had never appeared clearly in her vision, but his eyes — cold, yet warm and gentle — had never left her mory.

"Ide, can we have a picture together?"

"Only if you promise to be my girlfriend now and wife later."

Arwen still felt her cheeks flush, rembering it. She never forgot that dream. Not because she felt it was silly to imagine sothing like that, but because it felt too real to be just a dream.

Could it not just be the dream?

She gazed back at the page of the diary. Given that there did exist the na, Ide —this has to be real. Or else, how could a na from her mory align so appropriately with soone she ntioned in her diary?

But if there was soone who existed, how did she forget him?

Her brows tugged in a frown realizing — what she had been seeing in her dreams was not so absurd imagination, but a part of her reality that she had forgotten without leaving any trace behind.

But how could she just forget sothing like that?

And if she did, why did no one or nothing make her ever feel she missed sothing major?

The more she thought, the weirder it felt. Because if she has forgotten sothing, she should have known. People around her would tell her, or maybe she would feel a part of her missing.

But nothing like that felt, until very recently.

Could there be sothing that she had been missing?

The thought made her stomach twist, but with her hands on the diary, she felt that there could be more clues she could find … maybe after she read it fully.

With that thought, she was about to flip another page, but a voice from a distance made her pause.

"Moon!"

She glanced up and her brows jutted with surprise, finding Aiden standing at the door. "You … wait, how did you co here?"

Aiden noted the surprise across her expression, and he stepped in casually, letting the door fall closed behind him. "Well, I dropped by my car when I found out that my wife hadn't gotten off her work yet."

Before Arwen could say anything, his gaze dropped to her desk, checking the small diary lying in front of her. A subtle layer of confusion flickered in his gaze, and he asked, "What is it that's keeping you so engrossed?"

Although he had not let it appear on his face earlier, he had noted well how she looked absorbed in whatever she was reading. She had barely sensed him coming in, and it was only when he called her na, did she look his way.

At first, he thought it was so important docunt that needed her attention. However, now having a close look, he realized —

Arwen followed his gaze before closing the diary. She didn't an to hide it away from him. But right now, she had nothing she could explain. So, she simply chose not to answer, knowing well that he wouldn't pester her about it.

"Isn't this your first ti appearing at my workplace? Won't you tell how you thought of dropping by?" she asked, tucking away the diary back into her drawer.

Aiden didn't miss her intention of dodging away from answer. He wanted to know what was in the diary, but not at the expense of her displeasure.

"Although framing it as a 'surprise' fit best in the picture, it's not that," he answered honestly, making her brows rise in intrigue. "I just ca to pick you up because it was getting late."

"Late?" Arwen echoed before checking the ti on her watch. "Oh, it's so late already? Don't tell you ca all the way from ho?"

She glanced at him suspiciously, only to purse her lips, realizing that was exactly what he did.

She pursed her lips. "You could have just dropped a text or given a call," she said, reaching her phone. But the mont she tapped it on; she realized the strings of missed calls she had there on the notification.

He did call her, it was her … who failed to notice it.

"I am sorry, I —"

"I didn't complain," Aiden shook his head at her. "Picking up my wife from work is my duty. There is nothing in that for you to feel sorry about."

"How can I not? The distance is not small. It takes an hour and a half to get here." Arwen frowned.

He didn't answer her imdiately, but rather walked up to her and stood in front of her, staring into her eyes, searching sothing in her gaze that she couldn't even read in the reflection of his gaze.

"Just by realizing the fact that ti and distance between us don't change the duty and responsibility I hold as your husband." His fingers intertwined with hers, pulling her close to lean their forehead together.

Their faces, just inches apart, and their eyes, close.

The mont stilled, and so did their hearts. It was a perfect mont of calmness that Arwen only realized later that she needed at that mont.

She relished it, but suddenly she felt sothing. Her brows knitted in a slow frown, and she opened her eyes to look at him.

His eyes were still close, but sothing in his contour didn't feel right. She pulled away a little, making him open his eyes.

"Are you feeling unwell?" she asked, but she didn't wait for him to answer her. She simply raised her hand and pressed it against his forehead, before bringing it to check with hers. "Your temperature is slightly higher than mine. Are you running a temperature?"

He looked flawless when he appeared, or maybe she didn't notice it before —but now that she was looking at him, it felt like he looked tired and uncomfortable.

"I don't have a thermoter here," she said, frowning at the thought of him being sick. How did she not notice it before? "But wait, I will ask soone to get it for you."

With that, she turned to pick up her phone. But before she could, she was tugged back in a little urgent and imdiate pull.
