Aiden looked down at the chocolate and raised a brow. "Really?" he asked, his lips showing hints of a smile that Arwen didn't miss to notice.

Pursing her lips, she said, "Don't see this gesture as sothing simple. I don't share my chocolates usually. It's just that today, I wanted to share it with you since you are going out for so days. Have these when you miss ."

Aiden couldn't help but smile. He knew better than her how much she disliked sharing chocolates with anyone. But he had also realized that he was one lucky person with whom she had always shared them. This wasn't her first ti. She had given him the chocolates before as well, as if he had done all these things to deserve a share from her.

"You don't want them?" When she didn't see Aiden taking the chocolates from her, she asked. Her brows got tugged together in a frown. "If you don't want them, it's fine. I —"

Before she could roll back her hand, Aiden reached out and held it for her. "You are again forgetting, Moon," he said, taking the two chocolates off her hand. "Once it's offered to , it's mine."

"I don't want to give it to you anymore. Return it to ." Arwen wanted to take it back, but he dodged her attempt effortlessly.

"Too late, Moon. You have already given them to . I will take them with and have them when I miss you," he said as she put them into his jacket's inner pocket. "Now, be good and stay nice." Patting her head, he smiled and then took a step back to turn and leave.

"I am not a kid to whom you have to specify it like that," she grunted, crossing her arms.

Aiden gave her a look. "I know you are not. But just now your actions were quite similar to one. Don't you think?"

"No," she countered defiantly. "I don't think so. I was asking back what you didn't want."

"Who said I didn't want it?" Aiden raised a brow as if he couldn't understand her deducent. "As long as it's you offering, I will accept it," he said and then leaned forward to press a soft kiss on her lips. "Now, don't find ways to stay angry at . I will have to stay back to coax you."

Even though a part of Arwen wanted that, she knew that wouldn't be the right thing to do. Aiden had work and he had to leave for it.

"I am not angry at you," she said before gesturing towards his jacket. I even gave you my precious chocolate. Why would I do that if I have to stay angry at you." She placed her hand over his chest then, right over his heart. "Now, go, finish your work and co back soon. I will be waiting for you at ho.

Aiden nodded and both of them walked out together.

Emyr has been waiting in the car itself. When he saw Aiden walking out, he got down to open the door for him.

Aiden slipped into the car and not long after the car drove off the area.

"Madam, it's getting cold outside," Mr. Jones spoke softly when he saw Arwen still standing there staring in the direction where the car disappeared. "You should return inside."

Arwen didn't know what was happening to her exactly. All her life she had seen her parents going on business trips every now and then, leaving her back alone. She never felt this lonely before.

However, today, with Aiden gone, she felt so lonely like she had never felt before. Given her practice over the years, shouldn't she be fine? Then why was it hurting today?

She didn't know why but she was feeling so kind of fear inside. Fear of not sothing wrong happening, a fear of sothing repeating.

Just now when she saw Aiden leaving, she felt a déjà vu. Like this wasn't the first ti he was leaving her like that. It had happened before as well when he had left her alone and then hadn't returned.

But how can that be possible?

In the few months, they have stayed together, this was the first ti he was going out, leaving her back. And it was just a business trip. As long as he completes it, he will return to her, won't he?

While she was trying to understand what and why she was feeling inside, she heard Mr. Jones speak again.

"Madam?" he called, and absentmindedly Arwen turned to glance at him.

"Huh?"

"It's getting cold outside. I think you should return inside first, or else you will catch a cold." He repeated.

Arwen looked around once before nodding. "Yes, let's go," she said and then turning on her heels, walked back inside. "Oh, yes, Mr. Jones, did you also make arrangents for Aiden in New York? I an where will he living and the chefs —"

Mr. Jones understood her concern. Smiling, he nodded, "Madam, don't worry. Everything has been taken care of."

Arwen scratched the corner of her brows. She wasn't embarrassed, but seeing Mr. Jones smile, she felt she was a bit overdoing it. Did she get too deep in the role of his wife that now she wants to make sure that all his necessities are well looked into?

"Sorry, Mr. Jones," she said. "I should have known that you would well take care of everything. I didn't need to remind you."

"No, no, Madam," he said. "You are his wife. It's only right for you to confirm everything. If you hadn't sent the list earlier, I might have missed packing a few of the things."

While Arwen was sitting in Aiden's office, she had sent the list of essentials to Mr. Jones and had asked him to pack accordingly. And Mr. Jones had followed it diligently.

"Oh, I just ca to understand him a bit," she said, and then not lingering there for longer, she walked back to her room. As she was walking back, she received a text from Gianna and her steps halted.
