At the cetery, Ryan stood behind Delyth, holding her wheelchair. Although Dr. Walters had frowned at the idea of letting her step out before the surgery like that, explaining a little had made him agree. Hence, he had brought her out to et Zeke.
He thought it was another one of her facades to guilt trap him and he had been cautious around her, but now seeing her frail figure sitting silently without a word, he felt maybe he was being biased against her. He blad her for what she did, and she deserved it too. But he was wrong to bla it all on her.
After all, even though she pretended to be the victim every ti while blaming it on Arwen, it was him, who believed her. How could he bla her for his blindness?
After all, not believing Arwen had always been his choice. It was his ego that kept him away from accepting the things that were obvious.
"Delyth, we —"
Before he could say it, Delyth interjected him. "Ryan, few more minutes. I want to be alone with Zeke. Can you please give so ti alone with him?"
Ryan looked at her before nodding. Then stepping back, he walked away to a distance. His gaze remained on her as he watched her sitting silently before the polished headstone, her posture slightly slumped.
Delyth's forlorn expression revealed the weight of the grief. She stared at the stone as if searching for solace in its silent presence, her lips trembling with unspoken words.
"Zeke, I have gotten all alone now with you gone. I really miss you,"
She whispered, her voice barely audible over the gentle rustling of the wind. Her fingers lingered on the letters etched into the stone. "Do you miss too? I am sorry I have forgotten you, but now that I am so lonely, I cannot help but crave you. Would it have been different if you had been here with ? Or would I still be so unlikeable?"
"Maybe I might not be," she mumbled slowly, a sorrowly smile curving her lips slightly. "After all, you would have been the only one for whose love and attention I would have to sche. You would have given it to without asking, right?"
Ryan felt weird. He might not be able to hear what Delyth was speaking, given the distance between them, but the more Ryan stared at her like that the more he felt guilty.
Not able to bear it any longer, he walked to her and said, his voice cold and firm as Delyth has brought herself to rember. "Delyth, you can't stay here for long. We should leave you so that you reach back in ti."
He said, and was about to wheel her back in the direction where he had parked the car when Delyth spoke finally, her voice as weak and frail as she, herself, looked. "Ryan, today in front of Zeke, I promise you that I won't cause you any trouble from hereon. I know I was wrong and I have finally realized it."
Though her words sounded sincere, given the past, Ryan couldn't bring himself to believe it readily. Frowning, he said, "Delyth, don't act up now. I already told you none of this is going to change the way I have started to see you. Not guilt will make again believe you. Not even the na of Zeke."
Delyth turned to glance up at him and smiled at him. It was hard to tell what that smile looked like because before Ryan could even comprehend it, she turned away as if not giving him the chance to feel guilty at all.
"I know, Ryan," she said, her voice coming out as a whisper but loud enough to be heard clearly. "And I no longer expect you to believe because I have co to realize that none of it will be worth it. It took a while to understand but I have understood it. And about guilt tripping you, how can I when you are not at all guilty?"
Ryan's frown deepened.
Delyth took in a deep breath as she didn't speak anything for a brief mont. Then after a while, she suddenly spoke, "Ryan, I didn't an to guilt trap you, I just want to release you from all the guilt today. In front of Zeke today, I want to release you from the responsibility that Zeke has put on you." She sighed softly. "I know you won't believe . And to be honest, I no longer want you to believe either. I just want to assure you that the day I recover from the surgery, I will leave this place and country. I won't disturb your peace anymore."
"I can't apologize to you enough but maybe staying away can help in redemption. So, I am willing to do it," she said, before giving Ryan a mont to absorb her words. Once she felt the ti she had given was enough, she turned to the side and glanced up at him once again. "Now, don't delay anymore. Take back to the hospital. So that I can complete the surgery, recover soon and leave the country."

anwhile on the other side, at Winslow Globals,
Aiden was looking through so important files when suddenly, a knock at the door interrupted the silence.
"Co in," his voice ca like a cello, and soon Emyr walked in pushing the door open.
"Sir, the thing you have asked has been settled. And here is the report." As Emyr said that, he pushed the file politely on the desk.
Aiden took the file and flipped it open, reading the contents inside. "Did they encounter any problem?" he asked.
Emyr shook his head. "No, everything went smoothly. The suppliers are not fully aware of our identity. They take us as so new erging company in the market."
Aiden nodded before closing the file and keeping it aside. "What about the other thing I asked for?"
Emyr hesitated for a mont but soon nodded, "I got it, Sir," he said, soon retrieving a red envelope from his pocket.
