Over the next two days, Jason Luo pushed his training to the limit, hoping to achieve a breakthrough in his attributes before the match. But despite all his effort, nothing changed—except for the sharper definition of his abs. Two solid blocks of muscle stood out, as if declaring the power within him...

Although his attributes didn’t improve, under Kamman’s guidance, Jason Luo learned several practical combat tricks. One was the “Liver Punch”—when an opponent’s head defense is tight, hamring the liver can be a devastating strategy. A clean shot there brings excruciating pain and shortness of breath, often leaving a boxer unable to continue.

Kamman also pointed out that Jason’s height gave him an advantage. In exchanges, he should rely more on hooks, watch for the opponent’s swings when defending, and carefully manage his stamina. Jason took every word to heart and began to see Kamman as a true friend.

These weren’t just random tips. They were the fruits of Kamman’s years of grueling fights, and he shared them freely. Their bond had already grown deeper than ordinary friendship.

After training the next day, Jason bowed deeply.

“Thank you, Kamman. You’ve opened up a whole new world of boxing for . I’ll never forget what you’ve taught .”

Kamman quickly pulled him up.

“Oh, don’t say that. It’s nothing. Jason, keep pushing forward! You can definitely win. I’ll be in the crowd cheering for you tomorrow. Now, head ho, get a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow won’t be an easy fight.”

Jason nodded.

“Alright, see you tomorrow.”

As Jason walked off, Kamman let out a quiet sigh. Jason probably didn’t realize it, but his words had rekindled Kamman’s own faith in boxing. Watching Jason’s determination reminded him of his younger self. Keep fighting, kid—good luck!

...

The next morning, Jason woke up on ti, trained as usual, and made himself breakfast—but barely touched it. That too was sothing Kamman had taught him. Eating too much before a fight would press against his lungs, lowering stamina. Worse, if he took a heavy punch to the stomach, the pain would be unbearable...

Morning conditioning was canceled. After all, Reches was also signed under Raul, so from now on, he and Jason could be considered stablemates.

At 10:30, Raul arrived right on ti to pick him up. When they reached the bar, Jason was surprised—the place was far more crowded than last ti, several tis over. Another fight was already underway in the ring, the atmosphere buzzing with curses, laughter, and cheers.

Raul greeted a few familiar faces as he hurried Jason to the locker room. Passing near the ring, Jason spotted Sonny and Pedro sitting together again. This ti Raul said nothing, just nodded at Sonny before moving on.

Inside the locker room, Raul helped Jason prepare while giving last-minute advice.

“Don’t be nervous. Relax and listen. You’ve got solid toughness, so focus on protecting your head. If your opponent cos on too strong, forget about pride—just clinch him and break his rhythm. It’ll drive him crazy.”

“And another thing—do your best not to get knocked down. But if you do take a heavy shot, don’t rush to get up. Use that mont to recover. Wait until the referee’s count reaches seven, then stand. And once you’re up, defend imdiately—the other guy will co at you hard.”

Jason gave a wry smile.

“Got it, Mr. Raul. But aside from defense, aren’t you going to tell how to attack?”

Raul blinked, then glared.

“Of course! Once you’re in the ring, don’t hold back. The mont you see an opening, unload with heavy punches. Don’t give him the slightest chance to turn the fight around!”

Jason stretched, loosening his body. From the front ca a burst of cheers—it sounded like the previous fight had just ended.

Soon, an official stepped in.

“Five minutes to your fight. Get ready.”

After one last check, Raul decided to lead Jason out early to avoid running into Hebrey in the hall and having his mood soured by trash talk.

...

In the front hall, the host was already hyping the crowd.

“Gentlen—and ladies!”

Jason looked up. The elegant woman who had been with Hebrey last ti was there too, seated in the front rows, clearly there to support him.

The host continued, his voice animated.

“Now, everyone, pay attention to this next fight! Because it might be over by the ti you light up a cigar and look back!”

The audience burst into laughter. The host grinned.

“According to the stats, both fighters are aggressive, hard-hitting brawlers. This is destined to be a KO fight. They’re both young—so the question is, who will be the last man standing?”

The crowd buzzed with excitent. Even veteran boxing fans turned their attention to the ring. Such head-on clashes were rare in the amateur scene. With only a few thousand dollars on the line, few fighters were willing to risk everything.

Seeing the energy rise, the host went on in his booming voice.

“The challenger—Hebrey, known as the ‘Little Bulldozer.’ And his opponent—the rising rookie, Jason! Rumor has it this fight cos from a personal grudge. Well, that makes things even more interesting!”

The audience erupted into murmurs. So suspected Hebrey of padding his record. But with talk of personal grudges, it was hard to say for sure without knowing the details.

At a table a bit farther from the ring, Sonny nudged Pedro with his elbow.

“Hey, it’s that kid from last ti. And now he’s up against Hebrey. Old man, what do you think?”

Pedro had already caught on.

“What do you think I think? Hebrey might be trash, but at least he’s got basics and experience. That kid? All he’s got is toughness. Maybe he lasts a round. But by the second? He’s finished.”

“Oh, co on. You brag about being good at sizing people up, but you were already wrong about him once. If you’re wrong again this ti, what’ll you say?”

“Bullshit! No way! If that kid wins, I’ll have to study him myself. Could he really have sothing special?”

“Alright then, I’ll hold you to that!”

...

On stage, the host checked his watch.

“Alright, ti’s up! Let’s welco both fighters to the ring!”
