52: Chapter 52: Servant 52: Chapter 52: Servant The air at this mont fell into a strange and unusual silence.

Everyone, including the servant himself, was clueless about what had just happened.

He astonishingly took out all the Gold Coins from his person, held them high in front of Violet, then knelt down on one knee and proposed.

After a brief ntal pause, Violet twitched the corner of her mouth, tilted her head to give Grian a look.

She couldn’t be bothered to say even a word to this sort of person.

Standing behind Violet, Grian, though he recognized the man in front of him, had guessed from the first mont he saw the servant what he might say.

But no matter what, he never imagined that the man would utter such words.

The man who would win Violet could be a prince of a kingdom, or perhaps the heir to so Glorious Noble household.

Taking into account her power and her future intentions, that is not impossible.

The words spoken by the servant before them were like a toad lusting after a swan’s flesh, utterly delusional.

After receiving Violet’s cue, he stepped forward without hesitation, placing his hand on the servant’s shoulder, prepared to throw him out.

Only at this point did the servant realize how absurd his actions had been.

He shook his head, only to find his shoulder firmly gripped.

Just as Grian was about to lift him, he hurriedly said, “Commander Violet, I misspoke just now.

I want to be your servant, I…

I…”

His face flushed, as if he wanted to refute sothing, but Grian would not stop his actions for this.

Until Violet told him to stop, he would not cease.

At this mont, looking at the servant’s costu, Violet finally rembered it was a style only the mayor’s servants wore.

She rembered the intelligence she had received: it was Grian who got it from a mayor’s servant.

Could that person be him?

Otherwise, for soone who aspired to live a peaceful life, he presumably would’ve endured being a servant.

Why would he change his mind halfway and choose to beco a rcenary?

With that thought, Violet halted Grian and t the servant’s eyes, asking curiously, “Were you the one who delivered the mayor’s news to ?”

The servant’s heart leapt with joy, and at this mont, Grian, who had now stopped his action, relaxed his grip.

This made the servant kneel on the ground and present the pouch of coins again.

“It’s …

Commander Violet, I beg you…

please accept !” He said it with a certain decisiveness in his voice, bowing low as soon as he finished speaking.

As a man, unless forced by so unavoidable situation, no one, not even a servant, would do such a thing!

Such a pose, nearly pleading, aid at obtaining Violet’s pity, would let anyone see that he must have gone through sothing.

Violet too saw sothing in it naturally.

She raised her eyebrow, considering the servant, deep in thought.

This guy doesn’t have a pinpoint of fighting capacity.

Even if he is included in the rcenary Guild, it wouldn’t increase the fighting capacity even by a smidge.

However, he was loyal enough!

That is sothing one can’t exchange for no matter how much power they’ve got.

What Violet lacks now are the people who were absolutely loyal to her.

She is silent for a mont, looking at the man kneeling before her and lets out a sigh.

“Stand up.

Grian, take him to register as a rcenary, I’ll be relying on you for that,” she said.

As she turned, she spoke the last sentence to the old housekeeper.

He wisely stepped forward, took the servant with Grian, and headed towards the counter.

The whole rcenary Guild appeared deserted and desolate at this mont, without a trace of vitality.

All the loafers there for free food had already been cleaned up by her.

While they were settling the servant’s identity issue, Violet stepped out of the guild’s main entrance.

Since she is back in this small town, she couldn’t return empty-handed.

She glanced back at Grian’s silhouette, then leaned in to whisper sothing in Karl’s ear.

He almost jumped at what he heard.

Karl looked at Violet in disbelief, this matter seed utterly crazy!

“Eh, how can you dare…” He lowered his voice, cautiously speaking to Violet.

What’s there to be afraid of?!

Since she had already kidnapped the mayor and kept him in her dungeon, why not just collect so board money from his house?

That fat pig-like guy, he must have countless valuable objects in his ho!

Although they got the news saying, he already handed over a chest full of Gold Coins to the rcenary Guild to deal with her, what about his mill and manor’s deeds?

Those things should still be in his office, or in his living quarters right?

If they could find these things and convert them into part of the Gold Coins at the rcenary Guild, it would be enough to pay the salaries for her subordinates for the upcoming month!

Upon thinking about this, Violet couldn’t help but sigh.

While others beco the leaders of ard forces, they let their underlings do the dirty work like stealing and preventing forest fires.

When it’s her turn, she has to personally go to the mayor’s office to find stuff, for their salary.

It’s really a pitiful thing!

But what choice does she have?

If these guys who are not loyal enough harbor second thoughts and she is unable to distribute Gold Coins, it would inevitably cause doubts and unrest.

Perhaps it’s ti for so ideological education?

She stroked her chin, rembering what she had learned at school.

For example, taking care of school as if it were a ho, and dutifully performing all duties, all while collecting fees.

Perhaps this is a thod, but before they take any concrete actions, there still remains much work to be done!

“Hush!” Violet raised her finger to her lips, then looked around.

There were no people in the vicinity attracted by Karl’s action.

They were all bowed down working on their own tasks and chatting amongst themselves casually.

To avoid arousing suspicion, Violet walked nonchalantly towards the center of the small town.

During the dayti, everyone can see what others are doing, so behaving discreetly would make one exceptionally conspicuous.

However, in a place out of Violet’s sight, a pair of vengeful eyes watched her receding figure.

He was one of the rcenaries who’d been humiliated publicly.

After seeing Violet’s next move, he quietly retreated into the dark alleyway behind him.
