32: Chapter 32: The End and The Beginning 32: Chapter 32: The End and The Beginning The only thing that bothered and troubled the village head was the annual Magic Beast rampage that lasted several months.

From a safety perspective, most rcenaries will not venture into the forest during this ti unless they are really short of money, or they have ulterior motives.

Furthermore, during the Magic Beast rampage, there aren’t enough safe assignnts available for ordinary rcenaries.

Without work ans no inco, so during this ti, the village head always hangs around the rcenary camps, casting cold glances at these fellows.

If these scoundrels aren’t working, they might be better off dead, or just start fighting each other.

If such a situation arises, he will not hesitate to lock up all these troublemakers for disturbing public order, which is not sothing he’s doing for the first or second ti.

If they want him to release them, those rcenary leaders will have to dutifully pay a hefty fine, otherwise, they’ll have a hard ti in prison.

Under such pressure, even the cocky but hesitant rcenaries were finally greeted with good news.

That is, professional adventurers from the rcenary Guild have confird that the not-so-powerful Magic Beast rampage has passed, hence, the long-dormant rcenary camp has now revived.

It’s ti to get to work!

Even though a few brave rcenaries ventured into the forest at this ti, they couldn’t represent the majority.

The taverns are costly to these big spenders; with their last Copper Coins already spent in these taverns, they can’t wait to accept a mission and start working.

At the rcenary Guild, so rough fellows were fighting among themselves over easy, high-paying jobs, while Grian, on the other hand, had already led his subordinates and newcors to Black Crow Castle.

At this ti, the rcenary Guild must be in chaos.

With decades of experience, he knows exactly what to do in such a situation.

In a rush to share what he knew with Violet, Grian didn’t linger and brought the people he recruited to Black Crow Castle.

However, his recruits did not include the servant he hired.

He left that man by the village head, doing so to prevent startling the snake in the grass.

During this ti, although Violet remained in Black Crow Castle constantly, she never took a break to ensure the castle’s safety.

In addition to eliminating the traps, gathering Alchemist Veck’s poisons and storing them in the basent for later use, Violet also dealt with so old chanisms throughout the castle that can no longer be triggered.

At this mont, Black Crow Castle, like a stripped maiden, awaited people to breathe new life into it.

All the rooms in Black Crow Castle which one could walk into had been thoroughly investigated by Violet.

Debris and rotting wood from collapsed areas were being shifted out, waiting for workers to clean up.

However, while clearing these chanisms, Violet was also involved in another task, that is, drawing a detailed map of the castle.

She always felt that there was sothing wrong; normally, in her pri, she would’ve swung her lance and split the entire castle open to find out what that was.

Yet, since she owned this property, any damage would require repairs!

Prizing over the luxurious repair cost, even she could only resort to the most straightforward and crude thod.

That is, to mark every room of the castle on the map.

This nearly dieval castle is not particularly militarily excellent; many areas require significant alterations.

While thinking about what could be wrong, Grian had reached the top of the mountain.

Violet frowned, brushing her feather pen, which she was not yet used to, over the paper.

But the fact is, she had found nothing, eventually, she had no choice but to give up.

She decided to earnestly choose to repair and renovate the castle!

All of this requires skilled workers.

To recruit these workers, she naturally needs to offer sufficient Gold Coins.

The thought of this gave Violet another headache.

However, at this mont, Grian brought Violet so very unwelco news.

Everyone present could see Violet’s face turn dark all at once, and the air temperature seed to drop several degrees.

“Is he just tired of living?” said Violet, but no one dared to pick up the conversation.

Violet, who was almost driven mad by lack of funds, suddenly had a thought.

Since she didn’t have money, why not do it this way!

She raised the corners of her mouth, and everyone knows that village-level officials are always the wealthiest!

Since he wanted to cause trouble for Violet, she would have it!

Black Crow Castle was obtained from Bronze Shield after much struggle.

And Bronze Shield must have paid a great price for the castle; the person manipulating behind the scenes would definitely not ignore all this.

If things have taken a turn, soone will have to step forward to deal with the issue.

She could’ve co down from the mountain with her n and dragged the village head out from his comfort zone, killing him in broad daylight, but Violet couldn’t do that.

However, just because she couldn’t do it doesn’t an others couldn’t.

Isn’t this just a case of using soone else to do your dirty work?

The rcenaries, upon seeing Violet’s suddenly smirking mouth, felt a chill run down their spines.

It seed that so conspiracy was brewing in Violet’s mind.

But it was all going on in an unseen corner; no one could really understand her thoughts.

Only Grian raised his eyebrows, his eyes flickering as if he knew sothing, but he ultimately did not voice his thoughts in front of Violet.

As usual, after hearing the news of Violet’s request to repair Black Crow Castle, the Black Stone Union leader asked her for a ransom.

Anticipating a mortgage on the castle, Violet called in enough workers to start the refurbishnt.

In the anti, to secure these workers’ safety, all of Bronze Shield’s limited staff were dispatched.

Under the supervision of Kars and Grian, Violet disappeared out of everyone’s sight as the workers started their work.
