Boy prowled through the underbrush, his ears perked, their attention caught as he moved forward cautiously.

The scent of nurous creatures filled his nostrils, their presence thick in the air. It made his fur bristle involuntarily.

Sothing was happening- sothing unlike anything he had encountered before. He inhaled deeply, his mind racing as he tried to process what this could an.

Beasts didn't gather like this- not in such numbers and certainly not without conflict. In the ti that he had spent in Aegaryn, he knew one truth: beasts did not gather without any signs of a fight. They fought, they clawed, they killed for power...

And yet, sothing was breaking that fundantal rule... He had to find out.

Then he saw it...

A line of beasts, stretching through the dense forest, all moving with silent purpose.

Boy's eyes narrowed at the sight, confusion and intrigue visible in his eyes.

Normally, summons fought viciously over the right to be summoned and even when eting in the wild, would seldom gather or even be this peaceful with each other.

Yet here they were- waiting in an orderly line, each creature standing with an eerie patience, marching slowly towards an unknown destination.

So moved with confidence, their massive fras radiating dominance, while so others kept their heads low, as if expecting an attack to co at any mont...

However, after a few seconds, no attack ca. No battle broke up. Whatever force controlled them, it was stronger than their instincts.

'What in the world are they going to do?' he pondered with increased curiosity.

Keeping to the shadows, he observed carefully. So were massive, hulking figures while others were smaller, nimble creatures with sharp claws and sleek fur. Their sheer variety was unlike anything he had encountered before.

The line moved forward, weaving through the trees, their pacing unchanging. He trailed alongside them, curiosity and caution warring within him as while he had seen many things in his ti here, never had he seen creatures acting with such restraint.

The silence between them was unsettling as even the creatures that seed irritated or aggressive held themselves back.

No growl of dominance, no territorial displays, just quiet determination. And all of them were heading in the sa direction.

It was then, through the dense trees, he saw it.

A massive fortress lood ahead.

It had towering stone walls etched with glowing runes, pulsating like a living entity. It was ancient, yet undeniably powerful, exuding an aura of command that made even the most aggressive of beasts tread cautiously.

Seeing the animals making their way into the structure, Boy instinctively understood that this was no ordinary gathering place.

As the line of beasts reached the stronghold's outer gates, Boy saw a neat single-filed queue forming before the entrance. And unlike the chaotic scramble he was used to seeing at summoning circles, this was different.

And standing by the gates, acting as what Boy could only presu as defenders, were beasts of imnse power that Boy could not even tell their rank.

But they were standing like statues but radiating overwhelming presence. Their bodies were adorned with battle scars, their eyes sharp and calculating, their movents disciplined rather than wild.

'They are like the guards that used to defend the mansion back when I was human...' he thought as he saw them.

One by one, creatures approached the guards and from there, he lost visibility and was not able to look further inside.

Moving cautiously, Boy slipped into the line, blending among the creatures as they advanced. His heart was pounding with curiosity as he attempted to figure out what was actually happening on the inside.

Why were all these beasts gathering in such a neat manner? And what exactly was past those gates and inside the stronghold for all these animals to be queueing up.

The journey through the line was tense and the gates stood wide open, yet no guards barred entry. No summons fought at the entrance for dominance and even weaker creatures were not rejected.

Every beast that reached the gates simply walked through, as if guided by so unseen order.

A foreboding feeling warned Boy that sothing was not right as he hesitated for a brief mont. But his curiosity burned stronger and he stepped forward, making his way into the stronghold.

And as soon as he entered, the world around him shifted.

The air inside the stronghold was different... It felt heavier... denser... Towing stone structures ahead stretched deep into the fortress, their sheer size making him feel small in comparison.

At first, it seed as if all the beasts were being led sowhere specific, but as Boy followed deeper inside, he noticed sothing unsettling.

Not all the creatures were moving forward. In front of him, so were being pulled aside.

Upon entering through the gates, a massive open courtyard stretched before him, filled with gathered creatures- but here, the order began to break down.

Beasts were being separated by the guard beasts who each had a distinctive chipped hole in their ears.

Boy's eyes flickered around, noting how so were led to one side while others were corralled into separate areas.

'So sort of screening?' The realisation sent a ripple of unease through Boy. The stronghold hadn't let them in freely- it had lured them in to sort them for a reason that he could not understand.

A number of the beasts were forced into smaller enclosed spaces, while others were allowed to move forward through a separate gate leading deeper into the fortress.

One of the beasts in front of Boy was approached by one of the guarding beasts and it imdiately began to resist but as it resisted, it was rapidly restrained by the guard with overwhelming ease.

Boy tensed, 'What's happening here?'

Before he could slip away, a deep presence washed over the courtyard, pressing into every living creature. The mont it did, every beast, including Boy, instinctively turned towards its source.

And then he saw him.

A massive figure stood at the heart of the stronghold- not human, but not fully beast either, but sothing in-between. A creature wreathed in raw power.

Unlike the other creatures, this one stood upright on its hind legs, exuding a presence unlike anything Boy had encountered before.

The creature stood nearly twice his height, its body was draped in a thick, dark pelt that shimred with an almost spectral quality.

Sharp, curved claws tipped its long fingers, and its canine-like muzzle bore a set of gleaming fangs.

But what stood out most were its eyes- golden and piercing, as if it could see straight into Boy's soul.

Then, a voice spoke, not aloud, but inside his mind.

"You. Step forward."

Boy froze. His body stiffened, his mind reeled.

Telepathy...

This creature could speak directly into his mind.

The other beasts instinctively backed away, forming an invisible circle around him that no creature wanted to enter.

Hearing this, Boy's claws flexed as his head began to run into overdrive.

Am I in danger?

"You are different..." the voice continued, calm yet laced with intrigue, "You do not belong among them... You have sothing rare..."

Boy stared at the beast cautiously as he answered, "And what would that be?"

The creature smirked as it answered, "You have intelligence."

This struck Boy like a bolt of lightning. It was not his strength that made him stand out here, instead, it was his mind?

This was sothing that he had never heard before.

The towing beast motioned toward the stronghold's entrance, "Join us. Prove your worth, and you may claim power beyond what you know."

Boy hesitated... The ti that he had spent here in Aegaryn had always been about one thing only- survival. But now, standing before him was sothing greater than himself, and it offered an opportunity to him.

He took a step forward, considering the offer as he replied, "I'm listening."
