Chapter 76: What is your na?

Lord Edmund hadn’t finished speaking when Alina suddenly interrupted, "Soone is using a dragon hearing ability!" She declared, "There’s an intruder in the building."

Rhea felt her heart leap out of her chest as she heard those words. She quickly withdrew the core’s power within her body. Her heart began to throb against her rib cage, she hadn’t expected Alina’s senses to be this sharp, it seed she knew every single details about dragons and had mastered their powers. She could even sense the hearing ability Draven had taught her from such distance.

It was no wonder she was seen as a goddess.

Rhea’s heart almost leapt out of her chest as she noticed Alina and Lord Edmund appeared from the corner. Alina narrowed her eyes as she looked around the dragons in the cells, "Are you sure there’s no dragon whose core hasn’t been removed?" She questioned Lord Edmund, who was quick to nod, "Yes, not a single one of these creatures’ possess any core."

Alina nodded her head, "I see..." She mumbled.

However, Rhea noticed Alina’s gaze scanning towards them. Her eyes focused in Rhea’s direction, before she raised her hand, causing a faint white glow to appear. Rhea didn’t need to wonder; she knew Alina was about to examine the auras of everyone present.

Despite possessing Draven’s core, Rhea had no dragon aura. Hence, she had nothing to fear, but as for Draven...

The aura masker had concealed all the aura in him, and he had no human aura which would only cause suspicion if Alina sense he had no aura. Rhea felt like she’d have a heart attack with the way her heart was beating faster in her chest. Alina was already capable of hurting Draven even when he was still powerful, and right now he was but a re mortal. It would just take a strike from her to finish him up and remove the core from her own body.

Rhea subconsciously moved closer to Draven, but before she could even do anything, he’d suddenly grabbed her hand and held it tight. At first, she thought he was holding her because he was nervous, but then she head him whispered softly, for only her to hear as they couldn’t use the core’s powers again.

"Share your human aura with ."

Rhea wasn’t surprised by his words, because it was a known fact in their world that by combining a human blood with another creature, the human aura would magical pass on to them. But then, the problem was that Draven had just recently retrieved his dragon essence and his system was slowly transforming into a dragon again, if she forced her human aura to him, it could affect him badly.

Rhea hesitated for a mont, but when she noticed Alina was approaching, she quickly used her nails to drew blood from Draven’s palm before doing the sa with her own palm, while still maintaining her straight face to not draw suspicion.

She joined their hands, and a faint, unnoticed glow emanated from their clasped palms. Draven’s entire body quivered slightly, as if he was experiencing unease within himself. He tightly clenched his jaw and swiftly lowered his head. His blue eyes displayed no hint of agony.

However, he could sensed his body was resisting Rhea’s human aura, causing sharp pricks throughout his body. Nevertheless, He endured it without showing his discomfort, after all he was already used to enduring severe pains, this little discomfort didn’t count as anything. He rely bowed his head and endured through it all.

When Alina reached their turn, Rhea quickly let go of Draven’s hand. However, her aura hadn’t finished transferring to him. Her heart raced, making it difficult for her to maintain eye contact Alina’s stern gaze.

Without averting her gaze, Alina directly asked Rhea, "What is your na?" This unexpected question made Rhea’s heart pound even harder. Alina had not asked anyone else for their na, so Rhea was unsure why she was being singled out.

Alina’s voice turned cold as she sternly stated, "I won’t ask again." Rhea felt a drop of sweat trickle down her forehead as she nervously swallowed.

anwhile, Draven only felt his decades of hatred for Alina resurface double at her presence in front of him, however he knew he wasn’t a match for her, nonetheless if she was going to take his core away from him, he’d have no choice but to fight to his death and protect the person possessing his core.

"I..." Rhea was about to speak when she suddenly felt Draven grasped her hand, he was attempting to pull her behind him when suddenly a woman ca running into the corridor, and anxiously calling out to Alina.

"My lady! There’s a problem at ho."

Alina’s eyes moved away from Rhea and turned to the young woman in maids uniform who just ca in. "What’s the problem?" She asked nonchalantly.

The woman moved closer to Alina and whispered, "Lord Enzo had woken up, but he has been destroying everything in his room, and..." The maid seed to hesitate.

Hearing that it was about her Enzo, Alina demanded, "What happened to him?" Her shattered expression revealed her panic.

"He cut his wrist with a piece of glass, I called the doctor to check on him, but..."

Alina didn’t wait for the maid to finish her words before she hurried away from the corridor, without even sparing Rhea another glance, nor caring for her own imagine. The maid who’d ca to report also ran after her.

Everyone in the cells hallway exchanged glances before they began to whisper among themselves in hushed tones. Rhea release the breath she hadn’t realized she was holding the whole ti Alina was in front of her and listened to what the people in hallway were saying.

"Lord Enzo..." That was all Rhea could catch from the hush murmuring. She was familiar with that na because of Alina’s engagent posters in the city months ago. He was the sa man Alina had betrayed Draven for decades ago. It was a known news to everyone in Birhhan that he was her soon to be husband and that they were both in love with each other, but for so reasons the wedding had been delayed.

What happened to him to make the almighty Alina to run like that? Rhea was still pondering over this, when she felt Draven, who stood beside her started to stumble backwards, she quickly supported him before he could fall backwards. His expression looked terribly pale and inhuman, a drip of blood slid down his nose, but he imdiately wiped it off.

Rhea couldn’t help but worry, he had taken in her aura but it seed it was really affecting his body. They had to leave, but then Lord Edmund was still present.

Lord Edmund addressed the n, informing them, "Lady Credan had reported an intruder in the building. Divide into groups and search for the dangerous dragon intruder. Once you find the intruder, you are to bring him back to stop the spread of evil." As soon as he gave the order, the n promptly split up.

"We can’t save anyone today anymore, we have to leave." Rhea whispered to Draven, who could only nod his head.

Rhea supported him from behind as they ventured out to perform their fake search. They swiftly departed the building and walked onto the calm streets of the night. Rhea slipped her arm around his waist, and placed his right arm around her neck to support his weight, as they began to navigate the streets since it was too late for public transportation.

Fortunately, The Den Of Pleasure was not too far from their location. However, even though the effects of the potion still lingered in Rhea’s body, she paid no attention to it due to Draven’s condition. Once they entered their room, Rhea assisted him in sitting on the bed. However, as soon as he settled down, he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

To prevent the blood from touching her, Rhea quickly stepped back. Nervously, she inquired, "You’re not on the brink of death because of the aura I transferred to you, are you?"
