Chapter 13: Agreent

Rhea was in disbelief. She was clearly pressing down on his pressure point earlier. This man’s martial arts was actually higher than hers?

She foolishly stared at him in disbelief. He pressed down on her shoulders with his hands while his legs were keeping her in place on the bed, restraining her movents. His face was contemptuous as he looked down at her.

Rhea didn’t know why but she suddenly felt irritated by his expression. Back when she was at ho, she’d sneaked out and trained with n, she’d sparred with skilled n, and even the martial arts masters wouldn’t be able to take her down. Today her prided martial arts was unexpectedly lost to this damned demon serpent.

She was embarrassed beyond words.

Rhea clenched her teeth and bent both her knees, she directly pressed against his important lower area. He stifled a groan and loosened his hold on her shoulders. Rhea seized the opportunity to flip their position. Once again he was pressed under her,

"Yield!"

Jurian, who was in pain frowned upon her words, "I have no intention to compete with you, young woman." He said through clenched teeth.

"Resisting

ans you’re competing with , idiot!"

"...!"

After that bout, Rhea felt much better, she looked down at him from above, "So now you are behaving, demon." She patted his cheek. He couldn’t do anything but glare murderously at her. After getting a taste of her temper, he didn’t make another attempt to change their position and stayed still.

"Don’t you think it would’ve been better if you behaved like this yesterday?"

If he had quietly given her the four tis reward, then she wouldn’t have been bothering him now.

But now that things had turned out this way, she couldn’t say sothing like that to keep her little pride. She cald herself, took a deep breath, then said,

"Fine, even though you tricked and injured

in the forest, and there should be bad blood between us, I still stand by the words I said to you in the forest; I don’t have any deep grudges against you, and I don’t intend to take your life, you just have to quietly hand over the Aurius family heirloom which you stole. After that I will leave and never bother you anymore."

"Huh?" Jurian looked taken aback for a mont as if he didn’t know what she was talking about, but then said, "Oh, alright. I’ll take you to find the heirloom tommorow."

Rhea stared astonished. She didn’t think he would actually agree so easily.

But thinking back to their struggle in the forest, he was so willing to bribe her four tis the amount of the reward to the heirloom. Even under the risk of ripping his tail in two, he even drew a face full of blood from her! And now after being threatened, he just... agreed?

It was a trick!

Rhea’s look beca frosty, her hands squeezed the imposter’s neck again untill his complexion slowly beca unsightly, then she said,

"You shouldn’t ss with an ice lady, my ice spikes aren’t to be reckoned with. I will freeze you to death. Do you want to feel the frost again?"

This serpent demon probably didn’t know her ability to use spikes had disappeared, she would bluff and get him to do what she wanted, hoping to trick sothing out of him.

Jurian’s blue eyes stared at Rhea, as expected his expression changed a little. He was quiet for a short mont, before saying,

"I have a condition. I stole the heirloom because it’s a treasure that could help

cultivate my demonic powers, if you take it, then you won’t interfere with

using the townfolks energy to cultivate my powers. Do you agree?"

After hearing his condition, Rhea’s heart slightly sank. But imdiately her eyebrows furrowed.

All these years she’d only heard about demons feeding on humans energy, however it wouldn’t kill them but only suck their spiritual energy. And if she didn’t agree to this serpent’s condition, then her dreams of becoming rich would be gone, which ant she’d be stuck here forever.

Rhea thought deeply for awhile before saying, "This town belongs to the general. As long as you won’t harm the innocent and promise not to kill anyone. Then you can do whatever you want, and I will pretend like I don’t know anything."

"I just want their spiritual energy, not their lives, I won’t kill nor harm anyone."

Rhea slowly loosened her hands after hearing his words, then said, "Demon serpent, I have a really bad temper, if you dare to deceive

again...then I’ll make things difficult for you as well, I will expose you to everyone."

Jurian rubbed his neck that was red from being choked. He glanced up at Rhea, "Since you won’t hinder my cultivation, why would I have to deceive you?"

Rhea sized him up, then she held her bonded hands in front of him, "Untie my binds."

Hearing those words from her, the tip of his eyebrows twitched, "Can’t your ice spikes cut down ropes?"

Rhea’s face tightened, she made an effort to keep cool, "This was tied because of you. Naturally you should be the one to untie it, I’m letting you off easily by not making you kneel before ."

He shot her a look, she was still sitting atop of him on his pressure point, and it was clear he didn’t want to continue arguing with her. He casually raised his hands and swiftly got rid of the ropes.

Lines ford between his fine brows as Rhea adjusted herself atop of him and even placed her hands flat on his chest the mont he untied her bonds. He coldly glared at her,

"Get off!" The irritation in his voice was clear as day as he bellowed at her.

Rhea looked down at her position then scoffed, "Turns out you’re embarrassed, I am not bothered by this, so what’s there to bother about. A demon serpent? Pah!" She spat as if in disgust then rolled off of him.

The imposter didn’t react to her words, but swiftly got off the bed, while saying coldly, "Sleep on the bed, I’ll take the floor."

He pulled the blanket from the bed huge enough for even three people, then laid it on the floor before laying down, turning his back towards her, he closed his eyes to sleep.

Rhea raised an eyebrow, was it her imagination? Why did it seem like this demon serpent didn’t like being close to her?

But then, why did he touch her face yesterday? Could it be that she was more prettier in her sorry state than she was now?
