Chapter 74 Living alone
“Oh.” Gu Yan propped up her body to sit up and massaged her sore temples.
Looking at the strange environnt around her, Gu Yan couldn’t imdiately rember what she had went through last night.
“Where am I?”
She begun to recollect what happened last night, “I drank with my workmates, and then I t Wen Yunfeng.” Gu Yan was reluctant to recall what happened after she t Wen Yunfeng, so she quickly shook her head.
The door creaked open.
Mo Yichen ca in with warm milk in his hand.
Perhaps because of the warm sunlight, or his casual clothes, Mo Yichen seed to be more amiable at this mont.
“You wake up?” His tone with slight nasal sound made Gu Yan sober from a brief trance.
“Well. Thank you for helping last night.”
Taking over the milk, Gu Yan kept her eyes on the fancy silk quilt covering her.
“Do not ntion it. Fortunately, you are safe.” Mo Yichen sat at the bedside, and the hollow in the bed made the distance between them closer.
With chiseled facial features, he was really handso, though he was unshaven yet.
However, there was still bruise on his face caused by the fight yesterday.
“You got a bruise on your face. Are you okay?” Gu Yan asked.
“It doesn’t matter.” Mo Yichen answered coldly as if he didn’t get hurt.
Then they beca silent again.
“Take a break here. I have sothing to enjoin Wu Gang outside. Be relax. This is my apartnt, and no one else will co in.”
Mo Yichen seed to notice the embarrassing atmosphere between them, and was about to leave.
“Hey. Wait!”
Gu Yan quickly stretched out her hands and subconsciously grabbed Mo Yichen’s clothes.
Mo Yichen trembled because of a series of natural actions of Gu Yan which looked like coquetries. Then he looked at her hands at a loss.
“Oh, I...” Gu Yan didn’t know why she acted like this. Realizing the embarrassing scene, she quickly put down her hands.
In fact, Gu Yan thought about what Wen Yunfeng said last night all the ti and she wanted to ask Mo Yichen about the origin of the child.
“What’s wrong? Is there anything else?” Mo Yichen asked.
Gu Yan refrained from asking him.
She thought, “After all, Mo Yichen didn’t tell about this thing yet. If I asked him directly, he may not allow to et Xiangyan, which was not worthwhile.”
So, she replied, “Ah. Nothing. I just want to remind you of disinfecting your face, or you will be marred by a scar.”
Gu Yan shrugged while pretending to be composed and changed the topic.
Mo Yichen asked, “Do you want to ask about Wen Yunfeng? He...”
“No.”
Gu Yan interrupted Mo Yichen before he finished.
From the mont she awoke, she would not have rembered Wen Yunfeng at all if Mo Yichen had not ntioned this person.
Gu Yan frowned with a resentful look, as if she slled sothing unpleasant.
Mo Yichen felt relieved.
“Well, forget him.”
“I’m sensible now. The best relationship between and Wen Yunfeng is the strangers who don’t disturb each other. However, he destroyed this relationship. I don’t want to see him anymore.”
Gu Yan gently closed her eyes and determined to end the relationship with Wen Yunfeng.
“In this case, I suggest that you move here to live with .” Mo Yichen returned to the bedside.
He stared at Gu Yan’s eyes seriously, waiting for her answer.
“What?”
Obviously, Gu Yan thought it was inconceivable.
“How could that happen? Mo Yichen is not my boyfriend. How could we live together?”
“Why he had that idea?”
Thinking about that, Gu Yan answered, “I think it’s inappropriate.” Gu Yan wanted to refuse him euphemistically. After all, Mo Yichen was a president.
“It’s safe for you to live here. You know what happened yesterday. We can’t know how insane Wen Yunfeng would be. If you live alone, you will definitely be in danger. This ti I saved you, but what about the next ti?”

“I will protect you in the future.” Mo Yichen said and stretched out his hands to hold Gu Yan’s hands.
However, Gu Yan dodged subconsciously.
She thought, “Everything seems to be a dream. What does that sentence an? His confession? Or his commitnt?”
“Forget it. It is dood to be a bad relationship.” Gu Yan closed her eyes, and the scenes of the first eting with Mo Yichen, and the eting with Chen Qian and Li Yunhong a few days ago appeared in her mind.
All of these were reminding her all the ti of staying away from Mo Yichen.
Mo Yichen asked, “What are you afraid of?”
His eyes turned dim.
Gu Yan replied, “I’m too tired.”
She put the milk on the bedside table and curled up on the bed. She looked so fragile that others would like to protect her.
Gu Yan buried her head in the quilt, “I have been through too much recently. All of these things happened so fast that I don’t have ti to recover. Sotis when I am free suddenly, I feel unexpected that I had done sothing. Actually, I’m unwilling to do that. You won’t understand how tired I am.”
Mo Yichen stretched out his hands to touch her head, but stopped when he just touched her hair.
“Leave alone. I need ti to recover.” Gu Yan added.
Mo Yichen knew that the woman in front of him closed her heart. Although she always looked strong and excellent, in her heart, she was still a little girl who was eager to be protected.
“Okay.”
Mo Yichen’s voice slowly sounded above Gu Yan’s head.
“Have a good rest. I’ll ask Wu Gang to drive you back to the studio later. Take care of yourself. Call imdiately if you need anything.”
Then Mo Yichen stood up, tucked up the quilt for Gu Yan and left.
With her back towards Mo Yichen, Gu Yan took a deep breath after hearing that he left the room.
Then Gu Yan fell asleep, with the images of Mo Xiangyan, Mo Yichen, Chen Qian, Li Yunhong, and even Wen Yunfeng appearing one by one in her mind.
She couldn’t tell whether she was in dream or in reality. She just knew that she was too tired and needed a good rest.
