Chapter 253 The promise
Gu Yan heard the gossip about her and Jiang Jingcheng when she went back to office. All kinds of thoughts thronged the employees’ minds. Gu Yan was angry but still tried to control her anger because she didn’t want them to lose face.
Gu Yan couldn’t help thinking about what happened just now. She was confused. “Why is Jiang Jingcheng so fickle? It seems that he is simple but has a sophisticated mind.” All in all, Gu Yan believed that he was kind and pure.
Gu Yan was a little bit upset since her colleagues thought that they were lovers. She felt embarrassed to get along with Assistant Liu and Jiang Jingcheng.
Gu Yan treated Jiang Jingcheng as her right hand and an ordinary friend at most. Why did these people gossip so much?
They all knew that Gu Yan loved Mo Yichen. But they still thought that she had an affair with Jiang Jingcheng, which made her puzzled.

Soone was calling her at that mont. It was Mo Yichen’s call and Gu Yan picked up the phone imdiately.

Hearing Gu Yan’s voice, Mo Yichen felt that sothing was wrong. “Yanyan, what happened? Why are you unhappy?” He asked anxiously.
Gu Yan didn’t want Mo Yichen to get involved since he could do nothing to help her. After all, it related to her studio. So, she replied in a low voice, “Nothing. Don’t worry about .”
Mo Yichen was quite sure that sothing happened to her. He lowered his voice, “Yanyan, I won’t force you if you don’t want to talk about it. But I’ll be with you since I’m your backup.”
Gu Yan was touched and thrilled. She felt grateful to et Mo Yichen, who cared so much about her.
Gu Yan closed her eyes and said, “Chen, today is a sad day for . Sothing really upsets ”
“Tell please. What happened?” Mo Yichen said anxiously.
“Well, we hired a man who is very capable. I treat him well. Other employees keep gossiping about our relation.” Gu Yan said.
Mo Yichen was confused, “Who is he? Jiang Jingcheng?”
Gu Yan replied dully, “Yes. He is just a friend for . It really bothers .”
Mo Yichen felt that sothing was wrong. But he did not think too much and comforted Gu Yan, “Don’t care about others. Be yourself. They just don’t know that I’m your boyfriend. I’ll let others know that you are my girlfriend.”
“Aha, you are so glib.” Gu Yan was happy actually.
“Ha-ha ...” Mo Yichen laughed.
“Seriously, Gu Yan, do you think that we should get married? Then they won’t gossip about you anymore. I’ll convince my mom.”
Gu Yan was uncomfortable when she heard about marriage. Her last marriage was miserable. She still had fear for it and couldn’t overco it. It was said that marriage was the grave of love. She wanted to keep their love fresh and alive.

Gu Yan was in a good mood after talking to Mo Yichen.

“Xiangyan can’t get cold. We should prepare warm clothes for him as early as possible so that he can change clothes if the weather gets colder.” Gu Yan told him.

“OK.” Gu Yan replied gently. She missed Xiangyan so much since she didn’t see him for a few days. But Xiangyan missed his mother, too.
They might have mutual affinity.
