Chapter 196 Why was Mo Yichen so obsessed with Gu Yan
“What are you doing?”
Gu Yan felt that soone was by her side. As she opened her eyes, a dark figure drew nearer and nearer. The familiar figure was so close to her that she couldn’t see who he was.
Gu Yan was scared. She shouted and stood up quickly but happened to smash against Mo Yichen’s head.
Mo Yichen held his chin and looked at Gu Yan with a distressed face. Gu Yan was awkward, but she rolled her eyes at the thought of the scene just now and asked Mo Yichen, “What were you doing?”.
Looking at Gu Yan’s expression, Mo Yichen was more distressed. “I...I saw your ssage. I co here to make sure if you are OK. But I had so pressing business to attend to just now. So, I’m late.”
“When I ca here, I found that you were sound asleep. I just wanted to check if you have a fever.” Mo Yichen wouldn’t tell her he wanted to kiss her just now. He lied.
Gu Yan beca aware that she misunderstood him. She felt that sothing was wrong, but she didn’t ponder over his words.
“I...I’m fine. I took so dicine and then I fell asleep.”
Gu Yan clenched her fists on her knees and bowed her head. She never expected that Mo Yichen took her joke seriously.
Gu Yan answered in a small voice as she lied to Mo Yichen. She imdiately blushed with embarrassnt.
“Let’s go to the doctor.”
Seeing that Gu Yan was too weak to speak loudly, Mo Yichen was more anxious. He looked at Gu Yan affectionately, which moved Gu Yan.
Gu Yan was so happy that Mo Yichen cared about and loved her.
“Okay!”
Mo Yichen put down his phone and looked at the watch. He spent the whole day on the plan of tackling Wen Yunfeng’s company so that he didn’t expect that ti passed so fast. Li Yunhong called him that she was discharged from hospital and went ho. She asked Mo Yichen to have dinner with her at ho tonight.
Mo Yichen took the car key and decided to see Gu Yan first and then go back ho.
After dinner, Li Yunhong stopped Mo Yichen as he was about to work in his study.
Mo Yichen sat down on the sofa and he knew what Li Yunhong would say next. Although he felt very helpless about Li Yunhong’s attitude, he had to listen to her patiently.
“Yichen, have you contacted Chen Qian recently?” Li Yunhong asked casually.
Mo Yichen replied coldly, “I haven’t contacted her!”
Li Yunhong was unhappy as she heard his answer and she raised her voice, “Are you still contacting that woman nad Gu Yan? How many tis have I told you? Don’t contact her anymore! You want to annoy and see in the hospital again?”
Mo Yichen kept silent and he wanted to leave directly. However, considering that Li Yunhong was just discharged from hospital, he had to control his temper and listen to her patiently.
Li Yunhong looked at Mo Yichen, feeling helpless. He was born to be excellent. He never let her down. But recently he always contradicted her because of Gu Yan.
Li Yunhong took a deep breath and changed another way to persuade him since she knew Mo Yichen well. She stopped pushing him and asked him softly, “Yichen, think about the child. After all, Chen Qian is his mother. She is a good girl and she was born into a rich family. She will be a good mother and give the child good education. Think about it!”
Mo Yichen wanted to tell Li Yunhong that Gu Yan was the biological mother of Mo Xiangyan, but he didn’t know how to explain it.
“Xiangyan is still very young. He must be taken good care of by his mother as he grows up. You and Chen Qian are a perfect match, and you know her well. She will definitely do a better job than Gu Yan in looking after Xiangyan. Think about it.”
“You shouldn’t marry Gu Yan. It’s no good for Xiangyan and even the Mo’s family. Don’t you know that?”
Mo Yichen didn’t know why Li Yunhong had prejudice against Gu Yan. He didn’t know how to change Li Yunhong’s attitude towards her.
Mo Yichen stared at the teacup in his hand and said nothing.
Li Yunhong thought Mo Yichen assented to her words. So, she continued to persuade him, “Yichen, to tell you the truth, I won’t let you marry Gu Yan. She is out of your league. Tell her to keep away from you!”
Mo Yichen was distressed about Li Yunhong’s words. He could not wait to tell Li Yunhong the truth, but he didn’t say anything at the thought of Gu Yan and Li Yunhong’s physical condition. It was not the right ti to tell her.
Mo Yichen replied, “I know what to do. Take care of yourself!”
Then Mo Yichen went to his study. Li Yunhong shouted, “If you really knew what to do, I wouldn’t have to worry so much!”
Li Yunhong felt that Mo Yichen changed. He was no longer her obedient son. She wondered when did he change like this.
Li Yunhong was angrier with a sullen face. She thought it was Gu Yan who changed Mo Yichen! If Gu Yan really married Mo Yichen, Li Yunhong would suffer a lot and lost her authority.
“Gu Yan, why is my son so obsessed with you? Anyway, I won’t let you marry him! Never!”
Li Yunhong gnashed her teeth.
Mo Yichen didn’t read her mind. He thought for a long ti and still didn’t know how to resolve their conflicts.
Mo Yichen felt irritable. He picked up the phone and was ready to call Gu Yan, but he suddenly realized that it was already eleven p.m.
Mo Yichen never thought that he would stay at his study for such a long ti. He put down the phone and thought maybe Gu Yan was already sound asleep since she was ill.
Mo Yichen looked at the phone and murmured in a deep voice, “Gu Yan, I’ll protect you and our son. I promise!”
“Yichen, co downstairs. Hurry up, I need you.”
Mo Yichen heard his mother calling him downstairs when he was about to go to bed. He thought that she felt ill.
