It’s no coincidence.

When Mr. Lu reached the lobby, he just saw Zhou Sinin with tears in her eyes, viciously slapping Guan Yongyi across the face.

He didn’t even have ti to react.

What happened?

Why did they start fighting?

Lu Jincheng bent down to pick up Guan Yongyi’s black-frad glasses from the corner, wiped the dust off them, looking utterly confused.

It was only after hearing what Zhou Sinin said that he understood.

The two of them seed to have...

Laid their cards on the table?

...

This was the first ti in Zhou Sinin’s life that she had sworn.

Growing up in a privileged family, living in a respectable circle, and with a harmonious and generous personality, she rarely faced direct conflicts with others.

Her sharpest emotions and even the nastiest language that ca out were just those few words.

After the slap, Guan Yongyi didn’t fight back or continue to say anything.

The short-haired girl simply covered her cheek with her hand, smiling as she stood there, looking at herself.

"Why did they start fighting?"

"Gosh, did you hear that noise!"

"It sounds like they were fighting over a boyfriend..."

As more and more onlookers gathered, the discussions among them grew louder.

If they stayed any longer, soone might start recording with a phone.

Guan Yongyi grabbed her suitcase with her left hand, turned around, and pushed through the crowd out of the hotel lobby.

She quietly left the scene.

Though it was afternoon, the skies slowly darkened.

Only Zhou Sinin remained standing there.

She took a deep breath, wiped her eyes, and finally ca back to her senses, noticing the conspicuous Lu Jincheng among the crowd.

The man was dressed in clothes she had chosen herself, holding a pair of dusty black-frad glasses.

Their eyes t perfectly.

"Give the room card."

Zhou Sinin’s face was calm, her voice neither happy nor sad, sohow showing none of the emotions that had just peaked.

Lu Jincheng took out the room card from his pocket and handed it to her.

She snatched the room card and walked briskly toward the hotel elevators.

Near the elevator, Zhou Sinin paused, trying hard to turn her head and look out at the gloomy sky.

Lu Jincheng followed her.

Looking in the sa direction, the bright sunlight was blocked by dense clouds, and the entire sky seed enveloped in a layer of dark gray veil.

Ding.

The elevator doors opened at the ground floor, and people crowded in while Zhou Sinin gently pressed the button for the thirteenth floor.

The feeling of ascending made both Lu Jincheng and Zhou Sinin turn their backs to each other.

It seed they could no longer contain themselves; Zhou Sinin lightly sniffed and turned to face Lu Jincheng.

The air between them almost solidified.

He looked at the brown-haired girl’s teary eyes and red-rimd eyes and sighed deeply.

It seed that this ti was different from before; it would not be so easy to move on.

"How long has it been?"

Lu Jincheng was taken aback, not having ti to answer.

Zhou Sinin continued, her voice clearly trembling.

"How long have you been secretly seeing each other?"

"..."

Lu Jincheng’s answer was on the verge of coming out when the elevator suddenly jolted to a stop at the thirteenth floor.

The jolt shook him internally as well.

He couldn’t answer Zhou Sinin.

When the elevator doors opened, they walked out one after another.

"Ha."

"Asking this seems pointless now."

"You don’t need to answer , I know."

"I should have known long ago."

As she spoke, she swiped open the door of room 1308.

The room went from dark to light, the curtains flung open, and snowflakes in the air began to drift.

"I’m leaving, goodbye."

Zhou Sinin lowered her eyes and grabbed the backpack from the couch, turning her body and preparing to walk out.

She didn’t even intend to pack her things.

Besides her ID card and her cell phone, everything else was dispensable.

Those little objects that boldly declared ownership in the man’s room.

A small comb, skincare products, charging cables, hair clips...

She didn’t need them anymore.

Her heart was full of grievances; she just wanted to leave this place imdiately.

Right now.

Imdiately.

After leaving those words behind, Zhou Sinin didn’t even glance at the man. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and moved toward the door with her head down.

But Lu Jincheng happened to be standing in the hallway by the door, blocking her way.

"Move aside!"

She pushed him slightly but was embraced by his outstretched arms.

"Lu Jincheng."

Zhou Sinin’s voice was cold, her teeth clenched, her face expressionless.

"Do you want to slap you too?"

"I’m sorry."

Lu Jincheng held Zhou Sinin tightly, whispering in her ear.

"I don’t want to hear that. What’s the use of saying sorry?"

"Listen to my explanation."

"What is there to explain?"

Zhou Sinin laughed bitterly out of anger, her pale face flushed with agitation.

"She openly admitted it. What do you want to explain?"

"Lu Jincheng, I think I’ve been open-minded enough. I’ve been trying to understand you and striving to be a good girlfriend, not indulging in pointless jealousy."

"But why her?"

"Why?"

"Are you going to explain?"

Faced with such candid outpourings, Lu Jincheng fell silent again.

"If you can’t say it, let go."

"Let go, please?"

Zhou Sinin scoffed and tried to pull his arms away again, but to no avail.

She then attempted to pry off his fingers, using all her strength.

"It’s snowing outside; where will you go?"

Lu Jincheng still maintained his stance, unmoved.

"Don’t be so disgraceful. Let have so ti alone, okay?"

Zhou Sinin lifted her chin, her peach blossom eyes no longer delicate. Her swollen, red-rimd eyes welled up with tears she couldn’t hold back, running down her fair cheeks.

Dropping onto her white sweatshirt, painting a circle, drop by drop.

She tried once more to shake off Lu Jincheng’s hands.

Her pitiful appearance was enough to make anyone’s heart ache.

This ti, the man loosened his grip.

Watching Zhou Sinin’s figure disappear into the elevator, he followed her down.

He followed her to the hotel lobby, then to the front of the hotel.

In just a few minutes, heavy snow poured down.

There were no taxis waiting at the entrance; the snow had already ford a thick layer.

She walked into the vast expanse of falling snow, one shallow step at a ti.

"Stop following !"

On the sidewalk by the Grand Canal, the cold snow hit Zhou Sinin’s face.

She turned her head, raised her voice, and looked at the shadow not far behind her, wiping her damp cheeks, unable to tell if it was tears, snot, or lting snow.

"I’m begging you, please don’t follow , okay?"

They say Sunny West Lake is not as good as Rainy West Lake, and Rainy West Lake is not as good as snowy West Lake.

The snow-covered Hang City is extrely beautiful, and Zhou Sinin is a passionate Life Expert.

But today, she had no mood to record any of it.

A shadow lingered behind her as she walked alone in the snow, dispirited.

It was as if she was going against the whole world.

After walking for a whole half hour, she finally hailed a taxi.

"Where to?"

"Um... just drive forward, anywhere is fine."

The shadow could follow no longer.
