Chapter 21: Delete Friends "Old Jiang, let's go pick up the admission letters together!"
On the second day after returning from the bar, Jiang Qin had just crawled out of bed when he suddenly received a QQ ssage from Guo Zihang.
He couldn't help but glance at the calendar on the wall and realized that today was indeed the day to pick up the admission letters. However, given Guo Zihang's academic performance, he could probably only get into a second-tier university. Could the admission letter really have arrived so quickly?
"Did your admission letter arrive too?"
"No, didn't I co with you?"
"It's not yours, so why are you so enthusiastic?"
"You promised to take to Foot Spa City after you receive the admission letter!"
Jiang Qin couldn't help but mutter to himself as he replied to his phone. He thought, is this what modern college students are like? They think about foot spas all the ti!
He put down his phone, got up, washed his face, changed his clothes, and headed out. When he arrived at the post office, Guo Zihang was already waiting at the entrance.
"Yifu, your admission letter is on the fifth shelf, at the top of rack number three!"
"How do you know?"
"I've already found it for you. If it weren't for the staff stopping , I would have taken it out for you directly."
"You really go to great lengths just to go to Foot Spa City!"
Jiang Qin was impressed by Guo Zihang. If this guy had been this proactive during his school days, no, even half as proactive, he could have easily gotten into Tsinghua University or Peking University.
Guo Zihang chuckled without explaining and followed Jiang Qin into the post office.
The admission letter was a very important docunt. Although there was no strict rule that required the recipient to pick it up in person, even if soone else collected it on your behalf, they would need to present the recipient's ID.
Jiang Qin found his admission letter on the top shelf of rack number three and then searched for another package.
"Jiang Ge, why do you have two admission letters?"
"The other one is for Feng Nanshu."
"Uh-oh, that won't work. If it's not the actual person, you need Feng Nanshu's ID to collect it."
Jiang Qin didn't say anything. He took out two ID cards from his pocket and handed them to the postman, one was his own, and the other belonged to Feng Nanshu.
Seeing this scene, Guo Zihang's eyes widened like bells. He thought, if he's holding both of their ID cards, can this still be considered just being friends?
"Jiang Ge, which university did the goddess Feng apply to?"
"The sa as , Linchuan University."
"She told you?"
"No, I guessed."
Guo Zihang was about to ask more questions when he suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure.
She was wearing a denim skirt, with a neat ponytail, and it was none other than Chu Siqi, the class flower of Class 2 in senior year.
"Jiang Qin, long ti no see."
Jiang Qin nodded slightly, "Long ti no see."
Chu Siqi bit her lip, "Did you also apply to Linchuan University? I'm in the Departnt of Law. What about you?"
"Who told you I applied to Linchuan University?"
"It was Wang Huiru, but don't get wrong. I didn't intentionally inquire. We just happened to talk about it yesterday, and I casually listened in."
Jiang Qin smiled faintly and walked out of the post office.
In truth, he didn't care at all about what Chu Siqi had said. He had only engaged in that brief conversation out of politeness. As for attending the sa university, it didn't matter to him. After all, the School of Finance was in the main campus, while the Departnt of Law was in the east campus. Unless they made specific plans to et, they wouldn't run into each other often.
However, when Chu Siqi saw Jiang Qin walking away, she beca anxious.
She had actually been here for a while, sitting in a bubble tea shop across from the post office. When she saw Jiang Qin arrive, she imdiately rushed over. She had done all of this just to exchange a few words with him.
"Aren't you mad at ?"
"Well, can't I talk to you first?"
But she didn't expect Jiang Qin to be so resolute, turning around and leaving.
"You have 300,000, and you act all high and mighty. It's not like I like you; it's you who likes . I even gave you a way out, and you won't take it!"
"Jiang Qin, do you really intend to beco a stranger to ?"
"Yeah, didn't I already tell you the answer long ago?"
After hearing this, Chu Siqi gritted her teeth and looked infuriated, "Fine, then tell , why did you choose to go to the sa university as ?"
Jiang Qin was briefly taken aback, and in an instant, he rembered sothing he had forgotten.
Yes, on the eve of the college entrance examination, back when he hadn't traveled back in ti, his teenage self had asked Chu Siqi which university she wanted to attend. Her response at the ti had been Linchuan University because her dad had graduated from there.
After reliving his life, he had forgotten many details but rembered that Linchuan was a familiar city to him. What he had completely forgotten was that he had originally chosen Linchuan University because of Chu Siqi.
Damn, wasn't this just unbelievably coincidental? It's like crying for half the night and then finding a handkerchief!
"I'm going to Linchuan University, and it has nothing to do with you."
"Heh, your grades are good enough to go to the capital, right? But you deliberately chose Linchuan University. Isn't it because you knew I would be going there?"
Jiang Qin sighed and looked back at Chu Siqi, "The capital is too far away, and I don't want to be too far from ho. Linchuan is a good choice."
Chu Siqi's eyes were misty, and she had bitten her lip so much it turned red. "Then really, let's never contact each other again. Delete right now, right in front of , delete my QQ!"
"..."
"What's wrong? Why are you silent? Are you scared?"
Chu Siqi said indignantly, her ample chest heaving.
Jiang Qin took out his phone and looked sowhat sheepishly at Guo Zihang, "Old Guo, how do you delete friends on QQ from the 2008 version of the app?"
Guo Zihang was shocked, looking at him as if he had just seen a complete fool. "Yifu, you don't even know how to do that?"
"I really don't. Can you do it for ?"
"Watch !"
So, Guo Zihang operated Jiang Qin's phone and promptly deleted Chu Siqi right in front of her.
Seeing this scene, Chu Siqi burst into tears directly. She cursed Guo Zihang as a jerk while sobbing and ran off into the distance. She even forgot to take her admission letter.
Guo Zihang, who had received the scolding, was baffled. He thought, "What's this got to do with ? I only provided technical support!"
Imdiately after, he raised his head suddenly, his eyes fixed on Jiang Qin. He thought, "Yifu, you're really heartless. You deliberately shifted the hatred onto my head? I tried to be a good person, didn't I?"
In reality, Jiang Qin was also quite innocent. He genuinely didn't know how to use this older version of QQ!
"Old Jiang, you owe a visit to the Foot Spa City today!"
"Sure, I'll give you a foot spa with a bald head!"
Jiang Qin rode his bicycle, taking Guo Zihang with him to Xinghai Road. They arrived at the grand entrance of Shuiyunjian.
However, before entering, Jiang Qin stopped and first educated him on the rules and various industry jargon, so he wouldn't embarrass himself inside.
Guo Zihang blushed and couldn't maintain eye contact. Finally, he refused to go in and even pulled up his collar, trying to hide his face as if he were a thief.
"Aren't you eager to go?"
"Bro, I thought it was just foot spa inside!"
"So what?"
"I won't go in. Let's go back!"
"Useless. You won't amount to anything."
Guo Zihang looked helpless, unable to resist glancing down at his own feet.
He genuinely believed that this was a place for foot spas, and the only difference from his regular foot washing routine was that there were ladies providing the service. For that reason, he had even ticulously scrubbed his feet with soap three tis before leaving ho, fearing that the ladies might think his feet were slly. Little did he know that the Foot Spa City wasn't about foot washing at all!
