At the Dock – Kirigakure Encampnt
"Big brother, the construction will be done by tomorrow. Although we had delays earlier, the Konoha shinobi don’t seem too concerned with what we’re doing here. Plus, with the added defenses, they won’t break through easily."
On the dock, a Mist-nin reported to a senior ninja, who stood on the wooden platform overlooking the sea, arms crossed behind his back.
"The information here has probably leaked," the older ninja replied. "The Leaf hasn’t launched a strike yet, likely because they think this port has minimal impact on the overall war."
He narrowed his eyes at the horizon.
"But Konoha will pay for their arrogance soon enough. Stay vigilant. This is when we must be most alert."
His tone was grim—he spoke as if victory was already within their grasp.
Suddenly—
Hissss!
A strange sound echoed from the edge of the camp. Both Mist-nin turned sharply toward it, eyes widening.
"Enemy attack!"
"We’re under attack!"
Without warning, Saitama burst from the tree line, leading the Konoha assault force. In a flash, he was already at the periter of the enemy camp. The Mist shinobi had no ti to react—dozens of Leaf ninja surged forward behind him like a tidal wave.
"Hah!"
Drawing his blade, Saitama slashed down several enemy ninja before they could even draw weapons. His advance was like lightning—unrelenting and precise.
The Konoha shinobi behind him roared forward with overwhelming montum.
"No... it’s over!"
The Mist-nin on the dock trembled. He stared at the wave of attackers as panic took hold. His knees buckled slightly.
"We were so close to finishing. Why now?!"
He watched the Konoha shinobi, matching their forces in number and overwhelming them in quality, cutting through his comrades like paper.
Not far away, Saitama spotted two figures—these two Mist-nin had stayed back at the dock.
The katana in his hand glead with crackling Lightning Release, arcs of electricity hissing from the blade as he advanced.
"Big brother, what do we do?!" the younger of the two Mist-nin asked, panicking. He watched Saitama cut down enemy after enemy as he strode toward them.
"You run. I’ll hold him off," the senior ninja said, stepping forward and drawing a heavy, barbed two-handed sword from his back.
"Big bro–?!"
"I said go!"
FWUMP!
Saitama landed on the dock in a blur. His body surged with speed-enhancing Lightning Chakra Mode, and his blade swung down with lethal force.
CLANG!
The Mist leader barely blocked in ti. Using the impact, he kicked his subordinate off the dock and into the water, saving him from the imdiate clash.
"Oh?" Saitama’s Sharingan spun lazily as he observed the older ninja, impressed by the reflexes.
"Konoha ninja..." the man growled, retaliating with a powerful cleave that forced Saitama back a few steps.
From the water, the younger Mist-nin erged, clutching a kunai, trembling.
"Get out of here!" the senior ninja barked, eyes never leaving Saitama. He had seen the Uchiha’s red eyes—three tomoe circling in each iris.
He knew what that ant: the Sharingan. He couldn’t afford a mont of distraction.
ZZZZT!
The lightning around Saitama’s blade intensified, turning a deep blue and sparking violently.
BOOM!
Saitama vanished in a blur.
"Urgh!"
The Mist leader gasped—Saitama reappeared behind him, blade slicing deep across his shoulder. The cut wasn’t fatal—the man had twisted his body at the last second—but the damage was severe.
"Big brother!!" scread the younger Mist-nin from the water. He started running—toward Saitama.
"He’s not getting away," Saitama muttered coldly. "Konoha’s not here alone."
He raised his blade again. The Mist-nin leader, though wounded, began slowly circling him, keeping his guard up. His eyes were locked on Saitama’s, sweat trickling down his cheek.
Then, with a shout, the enemy charged, desperation fueling his swing.
ZAP!
But Saitama’s Lightning Release-enhanced body moved faster than the eye could follow. With one clean slash, he sliced through the man’s throat.
SCHLICK!
Blood sprayed into the air. Saitama landed softly behind the body as it crumpled to the dock.
Nearby, the remaining Mist-nin—now fleeing—was swiftly intercepted by a squad of Leaf shinobi, who surrounded and subdued him.
Konoha’s assault force swept through the enemy encampnt like a blade through grass, breaking their formation within minutes.
The battle was over.
Saitama stood quietly at the edge of the dock, gazing out over the ocean. Behind him, the last cries of resistance faded.
"It’s across the sea, isn’t it?" he muttered. The corner of his mouth curled into a smirk.
Konoha’s intelligence had confird it—the enemy had taken over the ruins of the forr Land of Whirlpools and was using it as a staging ground for operations against the Land of Fire.
A voice called behind him.
"Captain!"
Uchiha Kaka, a Chūnin assigned to the assault team, jogged over. His uniform was torn and stained with blood, half his hair scorched into an awkward curl from a fire-style explosion.
Saitama turned.
"How is it?"
