Sophia and Maya went to the castle to tell the king and Nathan's group that they had reached Raumont. Naturally, nzor and the prince were a little surprised about that. Still, Sophia cheered up a lot over Vivi's reaction, who was super excited about them going to the monster country and demon continent afterward, and begged the blonde to show her those places, as well.

“Did you two have fun in the capital?” Everyone was back in Raumont the next day when Sophia and Maya t up with Chiyo and Dannie again.

“It was so much fun!” The dog-girl smiled at Maya. “I never imagined being able to go to the capital just like that!”

“Yeah, her portals are sothing else.” She could see why Dannie was so excited over it.

“From now on, you can head over there whenever you want, too~.” Sophia gave her a thumbs-up. "Just head over to Maya's ho and use the portal there. Anna, the princess, also spoke with the mayor yesterday, and a public portal will be installed, too, but that one cos with a fee. So, feel free to go wild with the free one.”

“Thank you so much!” The couple was grateful for that.

“You’re welco!”

“By the way, what are you two and the rest of you up to for coming here?” Chiyo was curious about their sudden and unexpected reunion. “Or, was it just because of the portal thing?”

“You don’t actually want to know.” Maya shook her head.

“What does that an?”

“We’re just passing through~.” Sophia smiled at her. “Well, not just, because of the portal and we wanted to see you again, but we’re not staying here.”

“Oh, where are you going next, then?” The resident cat-girl’s curiosity only grew.

“Right for the monster country~.”

“Huh?!” Dannie reacted first. “Isn’t that incredibly dangerous?!”

“I want to agree, because even we adventurers never go past the outer level of it, but it’s Sophia we’re talking about.” Chiyo scratched her cheek. “She’s overflowing with magic power, and I saw her in action last year when we first t her. Also, if I rember right, didn't you say back then that you and the wolf traveled through the monster country before?"

“Yup.” The blonde nodded. “I was there basically right before eting you and your friends.”

“Why would you want to go there again, though?” Chiyo felt like she was missing sothing. “Strong or not, I can’t imagine it being a fun place one wants to revisit.”

“Nah, it’s just another case of just passing through.” Sophia shrugged. “We want to reach the ocean on the other side of the monster country.”

“Why…?” She only got more confused.

"Because we're setting sail for the demon continent, and it's the shortest route to get there." The tiger was getting excited just talking about it.

“Ehh…” Chiyo’s expression turned incredibly difficult after hearing that. “Are you serious right now?”

“I’m always serious!” Sophia started pouting.

“She’s the epito of seriousness.” Maya rolled her eyes so hard that they looked unhealthy and dangerous already.

“Wait, wait, wait…!” The orange cat-girl raised her voice. “When we first t, you ca from the monster country, and now you’re going to cross it again to get to the demon continent?!”

“Pretty much.” The blonde nodded in return.

“And you told that you being a demon was a misunderstanding.” Chiyo stared right at her. “Why would a not demon backtrack her steps to go to the continent where the demons live?”

“She got you there.” Maya let out a chuckle.

“I KNEW IT!”

“Was that really necessary?” The tiger stared at her cat while slowly shaking her head.

“Yes!” She only replied with a cheeky grin. “What would you have done in my place?”

“Fair point.” Sophia couldn’t argue with that.

“Does that an you’re actually a demon, after all?!” Chiyo got even louder. “Wait, so the kingdom and the royal family IS infiltrated by demons?!”

“No, it’s not.” The blonde shook her head. “Well, at least not that I know of.” She couldn’t be 100% sure of it, after all. “Definitely not by , as I am no demon.”

“I need proof for that!” She had beco way too suspicious at this point.

“Sure thing!” Sophia gave her a thumbs-up. “You just have to tell how because I have no idea how to prove that I’m not a demon besides wiggling my tiger ears and tail.” She did just that while saying so.

“Hmm.” She went silent for a mont. “Yeah, good point.” Chiyo also had no idea how she could possibly do that.

“It’s true that she’s no demon.” Maya finally decided to be helpful. “I regularly explore every inch of her body, and I can guarantee that she’s hiding nothing.”

“I see.” The orange cat-girl had nothing else to say there.

“Thanks.” The blonde had her doubts about her cat’s helpfulness. “I promise you that I’ve never even been to the demon continent before. It’s just another coincidence that we’re taking the sa route. I was only in the monster country before because I was traveling with Fen, the wolf you’ve t before. I’m actually really excited to get there because I love exploring new places!”

“Mhmm…” Chiyo stared at her for a little while longer before her expression eventually relaxed. “Well, you certainly don't look like you're lying. Still! If there’s ever news of the royal family being infiltrated by the demons, I’m going to find and slap you!”

“Fair enough.” Sophia was okay with that condition.

“Isn’t it still super dangerous to go on the ocean?” Dannie tilted her head. “I heard that the route to the demon continent is blocked by sea-monsters, and even if you’re stronger than all of them, if they sink your boat, it’s still over, isn’t it?”

“Not really, no.” The tiger shook her head. “For one, monsters can sense magic power and know if soone’s stronger than them, so they won’t attack unless aggravated. On top of that, even if it happens and our boat gets destroyed, we'd still have my portals. I just open one, and we return to dry land."

“You’re a handy one to have around, huh?” The dog-girl seed impressed. “Your magic is incredibly amazing! Not having to worry about being attacked because you're so strong is a nice bonus, too! Good catch!” She then smiled at Maya.

“Ehehe~.” The white-haired cat-girl liked the last part. “Yeah, it’s nice to have her around. For various reasons. Though, she’s also a bit of a handful at tis.”

"Because you aren't?" Chiyo and Dannie's voices perfectly overlapped.

“Ha!” Sophia smirked at her cat before smiling at the two. “She absolutely is~.”

“I’m not the one who causes the king of this nation a headache on a weekly basis!”

“This and that are unrelated~.”

“Sure.” She gave up.

“Although, if you go through the monster country, and then to sea, before eventually arriving on the demon continent, we won't be seeing you again for quite a while, won't we?" Dannie then looked at Maya while scratching her cheek.

“You won’t be getting rid of that easily this ti around.” She stuck out her tongue in return. “Thanks to Sophia’s portals again, I’ll keep visiting you two whenever you least expect it~.”

“We’re usually also in the capital at least once a week.” Sophia nodded a few tis. “If you leave a note there when using my portal, we’ll see it fairly quickly.”

“That is so cool!” The dog-girl happily clapped her hands.

“Yes, being able to stay connected like that is amazing!” Chiyo felt the sa.

“Hehe.” Sophia let out a chuckle after hearing that. “The king and I are planning to have my portals installed in every major and or important city inside the kingdom. We already connected a whole bunch of cities to the capital, and the prince, Anna’s brother, together with his group, will take over the job in the future. Traveling and staying connected with each other will beco a LOT more convenient in the future!”

“Seriously?”

“Yup!” The blonde gave the couple a thumbs-up.

“Wow!” Chiyo had no better words.

“We absolutely have to go traveling together like that!” Dannie looked at her with sparkling eyes. “Let’s take so of the portals to far-away places we never would’ve been able to go to on our own!”

“That sounds fun!” Chiyo nodded a few tis. “Yeah, while I do travel, it’s never far away from here, so it would be super interesting!”

“I can recomnd the ocean or a desert~.” The tiger liked their enthusiasm.

“Ohh!”

“I could also take you to the center of the monster country if you want.”

“We’re good!” The two rapidly shook their heads.

“Hehe.” She let out another chuckle. “What about the demon continent? I’m sure that would be an exciting visit for everyone, right?”

“Err, maybe once we know what’s going on there.” Chiyo was a little reluctant. “I’m not going to subject Dannie to an unknown danger.”

“Aww~.” Sophia, Maya, and Dannie liked that. “Smooth!”

“S-Shush!” The orange cat-girl hadn't expected the triple return.

“That’s fair.” Maya agreed with the fellow cat. “I’m also not too convinced of our itinerary, and without Sophia and the others, I’d never go there, so being reluctant there is good.”

“You’re also looking forward to it, though.” The tiger didn’t buy that she was still concerned about it.

“Well, yeah, exploring new places is fun.” She couldn’t deny it. “But, only because with you and the other overpowered individuals in our group, it’s impossible to get hurt or be in danger.” Maya shrugged. “Well, except the danger of any of your magic going out of control.”

“You’re the one who set the most places on fire.” Sophia slowly shook her head.

“No, our pyromaniac jaguar did.”

“Okay, yeah, absolutely valid complaint.” Sophia nodded a few tis because there was no way she could argue with that.

Afterward, the four continued to bicker and chat for a good while longer until they eventually t up with the others again. After all, the group did plan on staying for too long because there were things to do and places to explore. Now that they could et up with Chiyo and Dannie whenever, there was no need to catch up on everything right then and there.
