Sophia and the others took Sari to a beach to build sandcastles with her. While playing, Kel eventually showed up because the beach was next to the ocean he was creating in the domain. Sari was quite fascinated by him and not scared at all, so the tiger went ahead and introduced him to her.
“You know, all those animal ears, tails, full-body fur, and various other non-human features are still a little odd to , definitely not in a bad way, though! I guess it needs so ti getting used to." After the parents finished their lunch, they went back to exploring the beastfolk capital, where Lydia couldn't stop looking around. “I can absolutely see why our cute and fluff-loving girls think this world is a paradise, though. I've already seen a lot of adorable individuals. Ah, I hope it's okay to say that?!"
“Why would it not be okay to call soone adorable?” Eve tilted her head.
“It wouldn’t be my favorite adjective, but I doubt anyone would complain about it.” Theo nodded a few tis.
“Ahh, that’s reassuring!” Lydia was glad she didn’t accidentally offend anyone. “They’re definitely not for to have, but I’m starting to like those big fluffy tails so here, including Chloe and her mothers, have.”
“As expected of the mother of Sophia and Steph.” The cat-woman let out a small chuckle.
“…” She didn’t know how to respond to that and decided to double down instead. “This girl over there has an amazing look.” The blonde gestured at a brown-haired squirrel girl with black and white streaks in her hair and her massive, bushy tail. “Is she based on a chipmunk? The stripes remind of them. It looks fluffy and cute, but just like when thinking about Chloe, I feel like such a big tail can be quite the pain to deal with. Just imagining taking care of it makes shudder. I really like her small ears, though. They’re quite adorable if you ask .”
“Yes, as you can see, the girls got their love for everything cute from her.” Pete nodded a few tis while looking at the cat couple. “I agree with her opinion on big and fluffy tails, though. They’re nice and soothing to look at, but the logistical aspect seems like an absolute nightmare.”
“As a tail-haver, I can agree with that.” Theo nodded a few tis while glancing at his own tail behind him. “It’s a thin and sleek one, and even that can get in the way at tis, so yes, I would not want to have a bunch of fluff the size of myself attached to .”
“You probably get used to it, but I also think it's more of sothing to look at with a smile rather than having it yourself." Eve also agreed with them. “Or to hug, I guess.”
“Fair.” All of them could appreciate soone fluffy, after all.
“Anyway, getting back to the topic, the squirrel girl looks nice. Sophia and Steph probably would be all over her, but I’m not sure if her type of ears would be my preferred type. I think I’d rather go for sothing more flush to my head.”
“The easiest choice there would be getting inspiration from the dog beastfolk.” Theo scratched his cheek. “They have all kinds of different ears. Pointing up or kinked, like the ones of Steph, or floppy ears. The latter, floppy ones, are usually pretty flush. Well, when standing at least, when walking a little faster or even running, they, well... flop around.”
“Hmm.” He gave that idea so thought. “It sounds like sothing that could be interesting. Steph would probably also love it if I had so dog features, huh? She’s always been rather dog-like, after all, and now she’s got the exterior to back it up, so being a little similar to her wouldn’t be so bad, huh?”

“I an, Steph already tried to talk you into that, dear.” Lydia lightly rolled her eyes. “It’s a lovely gesture, though. It's hard to imagine, so we might need to do so test fitting or sothing similar first. Additionally, Sophia has already told us that being a tiger would be a bad idea due to the baggage that cos with being one, so that would be the only option to get closer from a visual standpoint. Then again, both of us being dog-related would be unfair towards Sophia, so my chipmunk inspiration is a viable alternative, I guess.”
"So, should we head back to the girls and tell them you decided to move?" Listening to their energetic exchange, Eve responded with a small but very smug-sounding chuckle.
“Shush!” The couple from Earth, at the mont, glared at her.
“Ehehe~.”
“Would it be possible to visit a daycare or kindergarten? Just from the outside would be fine.” Lydia changed the topic. “You two said so many great things about how seriously children’s education is treated in this world, and I'd like to see it with my own eyes. Seeing a kindergarten there would interest the most.”
“Mhm, I don’t see why that would be a problem.” Eve scratched her cheek before looking at her husband. “Do you happen to know if one is nearby?” After all, the two weren't native to the capital, either, and kindergartens aren’t exactly tourist destinations.
“That’s a good question.” He paused for a mont to think. “There’s that big park not too far away from Sophia’s mansion. Wasn’t there a playground with a kindergarten attached to it?”
“Right!” She lightly clapped her hands. “They were always playing there in the morning when we took a stroll through the park. I almost forgot about that. Well, a nice walk after a good al sounds good to , so we can head over there.”
“Thank you!” Lydia was glad to hear it. “You have no idea how curious I’ve been about that ever since you told !”
“Why, though?” Theo looked confused. “You make it sound like properly taking care of kids is a big deal, but it’s just simple common sense, isn't it?”
“I am 100% with you there.” The woman from Earth nodded a few tis. “I’ve done my best to make it my priority, too. So places in our ho world are way less serious about it, though. Many places lack a serious amount of funding, as well as teachers of all sorts being underpaid to so degree.”
“That’s odd.” He just stared at her with a deadpan expression because the cat-man had nothing else to say on the matter.
“It sure is.” Lydia agreed with him and decided that the topic wasn’t worth continuing.

“Really, a nice walk after a good al is such a great thing.” As they moved towards the park they had talked about, Theo happily patted his stomach with a satisfied expression.
“It really was delicious.” Pete had a similar expression. “I wasn’t expecting such premium high-quality ingredients from a sowhat normal-looking place, though. You could really taste how the salad grew in a field with nothing but natural sunlight. The at, too, was so tender and finely marbled in a way it only has when the cow is on a adow all day and can eat as much fresh grass and herbs as it wants."
“Uhh, what’s so premium about that?” The cat-man looked sowhat confused. "How else is salad supposed to grow, and what else are cows ant to do other than graze on a big field all day?”
“Hah.” He wasn’t sure what to reply there. “Anyway, thank you very much for the suggestion. It was delicious." Pete also dropped the topic, just like his wife before.
“Sure, I guess?” While he was still a little confused, Theo decided to shrug it off, and the group continued to walk towards the park.
“Woah!” Exploring said park for a few monts, Lydia’s eyes grew wide when she spotted a massive playground with nurous swings, slides, seesaws, enormous sandboxes, and many more things to play with and in. “Is that really a kindergarten?” She focused her attention on the large, fancy building next to the playground before looking at the three groups of 15 kids each, roughly divided by age, who were being watched and cared for by five adults per group. “It’s such a nice place! The kids-to-caretaker ratio is also quite impressive. It definitely makes envious!”
“The building and area definitely are on the nicer and more modern side.” Eve nodded a few tis. “The caretakers seem a little understaffed today, though.”
"Ahh, co on, now you're just ssing with !" The woman from Earth got loud.
“Hmm?” She tilted her head to the side. “What do you an?”
“…” Lydia was at a loss for words and needed a while to recover from that innocent display of genuine wonder over why she reacted like that.
Afterward, they got comfortable on so of the benches in the park and took a break while watching the kindergarten kids being loud and having fun for a while.
