Rob woke the next morning a little groggily.

Having indulged in a large number of drinks last night at Top Slam, Rob was currently having a heavy hangover-induced headache. Clutching his head tightly Rob made his way to the restroom.

It took him almost an hour to think straight. He was walking around the house like a robot without any true purpose for almost an hour before his head cleared up a little.

The first thing he did after clearing his head was to check the ti. Luckily, he hadn’t overslept. If he fucked this up with Dacey, he didn’t know what he would do. It would almost beco irredeemable.

Thankfully, it was only 10 in the morning and he had a lot of ti to get to Dacey’s. They had planned to et around 12 in the afternoon. Rob felt that he had ample ti to refresh himself and head over to Dacey’s.

Just then, Rob’s cell started to ring causing him to raise his eyebrows in surprise. He wasn’t expecting calls from anyone at this ti. As this was Sunday, he had kept most of his schedule free and had completed almost all his work by the end of yesterday.

Looking at the number, Rob was surprised to find it was Lawyer Walker who was calling him. Rob thought for a mont if he had so business with Lawyer Walker today, but couldn’t rember anything. So, he decided to attend the call and see what Lawyer Walker wanted.

"Hello, this is Rob Williams," Rob said in greeting.

"Rob, how are you? Is everything fine?" Lawyer Walker’s voice traveled through the phone.

From his tone, Rob surmised that Lawyer Walker was happy.

"I am fine Mr. Walker. How are you? Is everything going good?" Rob asked perfunctorily.

"It’s great, to be honest. I need to thank you for it actually. That is the reason I called," Lawyer Walker said happily.

"Oh, I don’t understand what you an Mr, Walker. Regardless, I am happy to help you," Rob said smiling.

"It looks like you haven’t got the news yet. Anyway, check out today’s stock market. You will understand why I am happy," Lawyer Walker said happily. "While I haven’t told you this before, I think it is high ti I said this to you. After chatting with you, I also bought a few stocks from IndiSoft. I just wanted to diversify my portfolio, you know."

"The good thing is, IndiSoft’s stock price has been soaring as of late. There is even a rumor that a big financial group has decided to invest in them. Thanks to you, I have earned a lot this ti," Lawyer Walker said laughing a little.

"Oh, I didn’t know that. Thanks for the heads up, Mr. Walker. My stock broker hasn’t contacted yet. So, I am not sure about things. Let check and get back to you," Rob said a little happier.

"No need, no need, I just wanted to inform you. Apart from that, I also have to thank you for taking so ti to check up on Brent. He ca by this week. He looked like a really changed man. I am happy that you were able to get to him."

"It’s nothing, Mr. Walker. Brent is my friend. Helping him when he is in trouble is only natural," Rob said modestly.

"Rob, I don’t know how to say this to you. What you have done ans a lot to . I have always been worried about that brat. But, he matured a lot since the last ti I saw him. He told he has a surprise for and asked to visit his office today. Do you know what it is about? Are you coming by as well?"

"Ah... I am sorry Mr. Walker. I have a lunch date with my girlfriend today afternoon. I don’t think I will be able to make it. I think I have so idea as to what he intends for you to check out. I think I will let him surprise you. I don’t want to spoil it."

"As long as it is good, I don’t have any issues," Lawyer Walker chuckled. "Let’s hope he hasn’t gotten soone pregnant."

"I don’t think it is that, Mr. Walker. If that were the case, he would be inviting you to his apartnt or a coffee shop, not to his office," Rob chuckled back,

"True, true! Anyway, it was great talking to you. Drop by my ho soti. I would very much love to have you for a al," Lawyer Walker said jovially.

"I will, Mr. Walker," Rob agreed without giving any commitnts. "I am sure you will enjoy Brent’s surprise."

"In that case, I will not keep you for long. Go on, young man, go sweep that lady of yours off her feet," Lawyer Walker chuckled causing Rob to be a little embarrassed.

"Thank you, Mr. Walker," Rob said cutting the call.

Letting out a large breath, Rob checked the phone for his stock broker’s number and gave him a call. The line was busy causing Rob’s brows to furrow a little. He felt a little irritated, but smoothed his expressions and started to prepare himself to be at Dacey’s for lunch.

Within an hour, Rob was ready to head over to Dacey. Just as he prepared to head off, a thought appeared in Rob’s mind. He took out his phone and dialed his stock broker once more. Once more the line was busy causing Rob to frown a bit.

From what Mr. Walker had told him, there must be a huge change in IndiSoft’s stock price in the past day. If it was his old world, Rob could have checked it on the Internet and known about the change in the situation.

However, this world was still in its advancent stage. If he needed to know about the stock details he must contact his stockbroker or buy a newspaper that specialized in business dealings. Until now, Rob didn’t have any need to get a subscription to a business newspaper.

Hence, he was left out of the loop at this mont. He didn’t like that feeling one bit. His stockbroker had been busy with calls for over an hour now. He had yet to call back. This displeased Rob a bit. But, he didn’t think much about it.

Reminding himself to get a business newspaper on his way out, Rob locked his ho and boarded his pickup. With one last look at his phone, Rob started the engine and set off to Dacey’s ho.

To Rob’s irritation, he wasn’t able to buy any business newspaper at the newsstand. From what the vendor told him, Rob realized that there was a huge change in the stock market yesterday, causing the newspapers to be sold like hotcakes.

The vendor was actually waiting for replenishnt from the newspaper company and it was expected to arrive after midday around 1. Rob didn’t have the ti to wait for the newspaper to arrive. So, he reluctantly boarded his pickup and headed to Dacey’s.

On the way to Dacey’s ho, Rob stopped at two more newsstands and was told the sa. By now, he was getting a little curious as to what change happened yesterday. Chatting with a stranger who was also waiting for the replenishnt, Rob learned that the governnt has passed a new bill yesterday afternoon that was beneficial to several erging industries.

So, the stock market has been in huge turmoil since last evening. As this was a weekend, it was expected to have a huge change when the market opened on Monday morning. Even so, several large changes had occurred last night sending the business world into a tizzy.

Rob left the newsstand with a lot of thought. It was clear from what others have said so far that sothing big was happening in the country. Whatever this new bill that had been passed yesterday evening had turned the business world upside down. It looked like IndiSoft was one of the largest beneficiaries.

When Rob reached Dacey’s ho, it was close to 11:45. He put the matter of IndiSoft stocks out of his mind and rang the doorbell.

Dacey opened the door with a large smile that almost took Rob’s breath away. She was loosely dressed in comfortable ho wear. Still, the dress was able to accentuate all her assets in a pleasing manner.

As she stood by the doorway, Rob’s face ford a smile unconsciously as he checked her out shalessly. Dacey blushed a little and invited him into her ho. Entering her ho, Rob found it both cozy and comfortable. It had a good vibe to it with a lot of positive energy running around.

Dacey guided him to the couch and left to get him so coffee. Left alone, Rob took a look around and found her ho decorated with a lot of artwork. Most didn’t look professional. It looked as if they were handmade by Dacey.

There were a lot of innocuous things spread across the hall. As Rob spent his ti appreciating them, Dacey returned with a cup of coffee for each.

"I didn’t know you painted," Rob said in greeting taking the cup from Dacey.

"It was sothing I picked up to relax my mind. My doctor suggested it as I was going through so tough tis at that point in my life," Dacey said with a small smile.

"These are really good," Rob comnted taking his seat on the couch.

Dacey sat near him and smiled in gratitude for the complint.

"I mostly paint uplifting things. Nothing specific, whatever I find attracted to at that ti. This is the only hobby I have apart from wrestling. Nowadays, wrestling has beco my career and painting is the only thing that helps relax," Dacey said with a small smile.

"I can see that," Rob nodded in reply.

An awkward silence followed it as Rob didn’t know what to talk about further. Even Dacey looked a little self-conscious at this mont, causing the silence to stretch for so ti.

"I keep my hobby personal. That is why I didn’t tell you about it before," Dacey said awkwardly out of the blue.

"No issues, I am not offended by it," Rob joked trying to lighten the mood.

"Hmmm, do you have any hobbies?" Dacey asked trying to keep the conversation going.

"Not exactly. I have too much work and don’t have ti to actually indulge in any. Most weekends I spend in the company. It is only recently that I have started to free my weekends," Rob replied and felt a little bad.

He felt he was being a bad conversationalist at this mont. He hadn’t given anything more for the conversation to continue forward leading back to the awkward silence between them once more.

"Lunch is ready. I thought we can eat around 1 or so." Dacey said struggling to find a topic.

"That’s great. I am actually famished. I haven’t eaten anything in the morning," Rob smiled.

"Then, how about we move to the dining room now? We can chat over lunch," Dacey said quickly.

"Um... can we eat a bit later? Like around 12:30ish?"

"Sure," Dacey said wringing her hands.

Rob felt like an utter idiot at this mont. Normally, he and Dacey would have a lot to talk about. But, today it felt as if the conversation wasn’t flowing smoothly at all.

"Do you have a business newspaper?" Rob asked out of the blue.

"No, why?" Dacey replied confused.

"I heard that there was so huge change in stocks yesterday. Want to see what it is all about," Duncan explained laly.

"Sorry, I don’t have one. I have never seen the point of buying one. I am obviously not making that much money," Dacey joked trying to ease the conversation.

"Even, I don’t buy them usually. I heard that so stocks that I invested in might have so changes, so wanted to check it up," Rob said casually easing into the conversation,

"Why don’t you ask your stockbroker?"

"He is busy on other calls right now," Rob said with a slight frown on being once more reminded that his stockbroker hasn’t called him back.

"Oh!"

"Hmmm!"

"Ummm... you invest?"

"Nothing much, just invested a few of my savings in a computer company," Rob said glossing it over.

"I don’t know anything about computers or investnt. I live from paycheck to paycheck. I rarely even buy stuff for my house," Dacey said gesturing around.

"You should see my apartnt. It only has the bare minimum. I don’t have much either," Rob said shaking his head.

"Oh, so, when are you going to invite over?" Dacey asked.

Rob felt a little tongue-tied. He rembered the state of his apartnt when he left earlier, and felt that inviting a female over to such a ssy apartnt might do more to hurt his chances than increase them.

"Probably never," Rob murmured causing Dacey to look at him suspiciously.

"Why? You don’t want to invite over?" Dacey asked sharply.

"Nah, it is in a bad state. I will definitely invite you over once I get things settled there," Rob said with false excitent that he was sure didn’t fool Dacey one bit.

From there, the conversation started flowing and Rob started to relax a bit. As Dacey and Rob spoke about a myriad of things, ti flowed fast and it was already an hour since Rob walked into Dacey’s ho.

Dacey led Rob to the dining table and served him the dishes she cooked at around 1 PM. As Dacey and Rob had lunch, Rob didn’t shy away from praising Dacey’s cooking causing her to blush deeply. As ti passed and the lunch was coming to an end, a slight tension started building in the atmosphere.

They both were aware of what was implied implicitly in Dacey’s invitation yesterday. While the lunch was filling and they both had a great ti, the sexual tension that has been built up until now was almost about to burst up and it created a weird atmosphere between the duo.

Rob helped Dacey clean up and the duo ended up in the kitchen. After putting the dishes back in the dishwasher, both Dacey and Rob remained in the kitchen. The ambiguity between them increased causing Rob’s heart to skip a beat.

From the corner of his eyes, Rob saw Dacey play with her hair and look towards him in a shy manner. Rob felt the evil fire in him grow a bit as he approached her slowly. The lesser the distance between the duo, the higher the sexual tension between them.

As he neared her, Rob couldn’t gulp when he saw Dacey had undone her top buttons soti between getting up from the dining table to here. This was enough of an indication to him that she was interested in what he was thinking as well.

Looking up at him in a shy manner, Dacey let out a small smile causing Rob’s heart to thump loudly. Looking at her standing in the kitchen with filtered sunlight falling on her back through the window, Rob felt a little srized.

The ambiguity between them increased and Rob stepped close to her. Their bodies were close to touching. Rob could see Dacey’s breasts heave in anticipation. His palms were already sweaty from nervousness. Closing the last gap between them, Rob stood in front of her and cupped her face.

Dacey looked up at him causing his breath to hitch a little. She looked absolutely gorgeous at this mont. The evil fire that was lit in him was currently roaring in approval as he lowered his head, planning to kiss her on the lips. In his mind, Rob could hear his heart beating in anticipation as well.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Bring! Bring! Bring!

Rob’s phone rang ruining the beautiful mont completely.
