Malrik’s voice sounded particularly arrogant, but that was normal.
Every word dripped with contempt and absolute confidence, as if the world was a toy in his hands.
Even Jeremy himself, who hadn’t blinked at the sight of Yvanna, furrowed his brows.
Especially Cambela had a very serious look, almost unnatural for her.
Besides those two, no other human seed to notice anything strange about this devil, apart from his arrogance.
"Who do you think you are to allow , the Empress, to use all my power?"
Yvanna’s answer caused a stir.
After all, she had never proclaid herself as such. She had always defined herself as the emperor’s daughter, as if she never fully accepted her role.
But now, after her power increase, before all present, she called herself Empress.
The humans’ gazes settled on her. They all had a strange expression on their faces, as if relieved.
They were relieved that Yvanna had called herself Empress. And her power affird that now they had soone to rely on.
Malrik’s smile grew even wider at the woman’s words.
"Well, not that you can unleash all your power. You have a world to protect.
But enough talk. It’s ti to fight, but don’t worry. My n won’t kill everyone, after all, your lives don’t really matter to us.
The fugitive, Cambela, will co out sooner or later. She can’t escape. We have all the ti in the world, Empress."
The last word spoken by the devil was full of mockery. He obviously would not respect any inferior being like those in front of him.
Without saying more, Yvanna flew into the sky, casting a disdainful glance at Malrik, who followed her.
The air around them shattered into dinsional fracture lines. The tension was so intense it was hard even to breathe.
"I hope Yvanna can win, she should have plenty of tricks up her sleeve."
Now that all the main actors had arrived, Jeremy had no reason to stay aside. He couldn’t visualize the Empress’s status, but judging by Malrik’s, the clash wouldn’t go smoothly.
Humans and devils faced off, but their numbers were too different.
On the devils’ side there were 999 Rank S and 100 Rank EX.
On the human side there were 50 Rank S and 13 Rank EX. All the superpowers of the capital and nearby cities had joined. Others were arriving, but the addition of one or two Rank S wouldn’t make a difference.
But just as the battle between them was about to erupt, the sound of footsteps, clear and rhythmic, broke the tension.
Jeremy, followed by Cambela, Aliken, and Victoria, made their appearance on the battlefield.
All eyes were on them.
The devils were curious about these newcors. They looked like a group of visitors exploring new lands. If it weren’t for their presence, which clearly showed they were no ordinary humans.
The human group, on the other hand, watched these newcors with a hint of doubt. None of them had any idea who they were.
Then, their gaze settled on Victoria.
At first, they didn’t notice her at all. Her aura didn’t fluctuate in any way; it was so stable that she could have been mistaken for a rock in the background.
"Huh? Victoria, why are you here? I told you to run away!"
An angry voice broke through everyone’s ears. It was Adam, Victoria’s father.
His tone trembled with anger and fear. His usually impassive figure now shook under the weight of helplessness.
But before anyone else could even say a word, a boy’s voice cut through the atmosphere like butter.
"Enough, let’s not waste any more ti. It’s been a while since I’ve killed."
Jeremy’s words were cold, devoid of theatrics, yet carrying an undeniable truth.
He was here to fight. And to kill.
Everyone’s gaze fixed on Jeremy, who continued walking undeterred.
So devils smiled, others laughed out loud. They were not taking him seriously at all.
On the human side, frowns ford on everyone’s faces.
Especially the Rank EX, who looked at the boy with anger.
"Hey kid, stop it. Don’t provoke them." A ntal ssage was sent directly into the young man’s mind, but he couldn’t have cared less.
He just stared at the old man, a smile on his face.
Then, with a wave of his hand, a portal materialized behind him.
The portal was enormous, at least 20 ters wide and about 5 ters tall. Its color was deep black, with edges made of bones of all kinds.
The sight was truly striking.
While everyone wondered what was happening, creatures of all kinds began to erge from the portal.
There were goblins, kobolds, wolves, monkeys, trolls, scorpions, orcs. Their number was imnse, tens of thousands of creatures.
They all had one thing in common. They were made of bones. A mass of walking bones.
The bones creaked with every step, forming a macabre cacophony that announced the arrival of the unnatural.
The devils were stunned but not intimidated. After all, the creatures barely had Rank S power; they didn’t pose a real threat.
Similarly, the humans were amazed. They hadn’t expected such a thing. But deep down, they knew. This wouldn’t help them in any way.
Yet the skeletal creatures kept pouring out, indifferent to everyone’s thoughts.
And so, finally, the humanoid skeletons made their appearance.
Their number was smaller, a few thousand, but their presence was overwhelming. After all, humans, at the sa level, were better than beasts.
Their skills, techniques, thought capacity, and the equipnt they wore made them superior.
And these, despite being re skeletons, retained the skills they had when alive.
Their movents were fluid, trained. Every skeleton looked like a veteran called back to service after death.
They were killing machines. Moreover, Jeremy had simply made the skeletons grab the equipnt they had in life.
None of them were weak. They would give the Rank S serious trouble.
"Just cannon fodder, that’s all."
The voice of a Rank EX devil echoed. What he said reflected a bit of everyone’s thoughts.
Hearing this, Jeremy smiled.
It wasn’t over yet.
After the last skeletal human appeared, a small group of beings with a decidedly different appearance erged.
Their looks were simple, but distinct from the rest, and the aura they exuded said sothing else entirely.
There were about fifty of them.
They were the Goblin Skinwalkers.
Jeremy had spent the night creating more of them. After all, he couldn’t just wait around doing nothing until morning.
Their arrival was like the echo of a nightmare. Their empty eyes glead with malice, and their forms slowly shifted under others’ gaze, adapting, imitating, improving.
The devils watched the newcors with slightly more serious looks. Especially the Rank S felt sothing they had never felt before.
Fear.
But it lasted only a few monts before the scoff of a Rank EX shattered that aura of fear.
"Well, have you finished—"
His words stuck in his throat.
No, Jeremy was far from finished. After all, how could the main players be missing?
"I present to you my Bone Legion in full." A satisfied smile brushed the boy’s lips.
