"Veydras?"

Adam’s face froze for a second. He had never heard that surna before.

"Anyway—" with a cough, he returned to the main topic. "My daughter has just grown stronger, and I think it was thanks to your help too. Tomorrow we’ll hold a banquet to celebrate her Ascension.

Why don’t you join us? In the anti, you can stay here for the night, your rooms are already ready. If you’d like to eat sothing tonight, don’t be shy, our cooks work 24/7."

"Then let thank you in advance." Jeremy replied with a polite nod.

And so the three of them parted ways with Victoria and Adam and followed the butler to their rooms.

"Tell , Victoria—" Adam’s voice was more serious this ti. "How did you find those three? You didn’t get yourself into trouble, did you? That boy’s eye was... strange. And what’s with the bandage on his other eye, a fashion trend?"

Victoria looked away.

A sigh escaped Adam’s mouth. They didn’t need to keep talking, he had already understood. His daughter had gotten herself into trouble.

"Don’t worry, Vic. Worst case, we’ll have to ask your grandfather for help."

"I don’t think that’ll be necessary. Yeah, maybe I did get into sothing big... but it’s not trouble."

The two locked eyes for a few seconds before another sigh left Adam’s lips.

And with that, they parted ways.

The night passed quickly. Jeremy and the others didn’t eat anything—in the end, they didn’t really need to. The stronger one beca, the less they needed mortal things like food or drink.

Simple mana covered all needs.

Eating or drinking beca sothing extra, sothing to be shared and celebrated—like the mont of Victoria’s ascension.

Unfortunately, good things aren’t ant to last.

"Sir, we’ve arrived at the destination."

The spaceship approaching the planet Azure had reached its target.

Inside, it was full of devils. There were 1000 Rank S and 100 Rank EX devils. An enormous number, more than enough to wipe out all of humanity without effort.

That was before Cambela’s arrival. Her presence had been the catalyst for humanity’s rapid evolution. Not only did a sudden surge of Rank S Gates occur, but many Rank EX Gates began to appear as well.

But like all things, while this brought incredible strength to the capital and nearby regions, the other cities couldn’t say the sa.

Countless cities were destroyed, and Velrath couldn’t handle everything— they had limited human resources, after all.

"Alright, you may go. The objective is simple."

A heavy aura, like a mountain, weighed down on all the devils present.

"You must bring back Cambela alive. No matter the cost."

"Yes, sir."

The devils stomped in unison and shouted respectfully, like a trained army.

Among them were many types of devils—not just in physical appearance or armor, but in class and power.

However, their armor shared a uniform color that would distinguish them on the battlefield. It was a deep black, with the symbol of the Ebonveil stamped on their shoulders.

This symbol represented a silver sail spiraling around itself, with the silhouette of a crow behind it—wings folded, eyes locked forward.

After receiving their orders, the spaceship entered the planet’s atmosphere.

They had no precise idea of what was happening down there—they only knew sothing was wrong. After all, the two devils sent the day before, Bevrel and Aliken, hadn’t returned to report, and their Gates had been forcibly closed.

"I can feel it... sothing’s wrong with this world."

The only Stellar Rank devil had remained behind, in space. His na was Prish Ebonveil.

The Stellar Rank was a title given specifically for that level of power. Space travel was possible, but the speed was extrely low, and one couldn’t remain for long periods—at most, a few days.

Still, there were always exceptions to every rule. For example, there were special concepts that allowed survival in space, or monsters and demons that could live and move in space even at lower levels.

Prish watched Azure from afar.

The aura the planet emitted didn’t seem like that of a low-level world. It was ascending.

Just as living beings could ascend, celestial bodies could also undergo ascension. But unlike creatures, the ascension of a world implied better opportunities for its inhabitants.

For example, mana would beco more abundant, the world’s size would expand, rare resources would beco more common, the power ceiling would rise beyond Rank EX, and dinsional fractures—Gates—would beco less frequent.

The latter might seem like a drawback, but it wasn’t.

Think of the other world Jeremy had visited at the beginning of his journey. It had no Gates—or if it did, they were rare and heavily monitored by powerful factions due to the lack of information.

Yet, every beast Jeremy encountered there was far stronger than those on Azure. Even the beasts from the Gates couldn’t compare to the wild creatures of that world.

That was the difference between worlds.

And from what Prish observed, Azure was undergoing ascension—from a low-level planet to a mid-level one.

This would allow the world to withstand more powerful beings, like those of Stellar Rank and beyond.

But the ascension of a world was a long process. It couldn’t happen in just a few days. It would take several weeks or even months.

The ti required shortened as more high-Rank creatures appeared or were born within the world. But they had to belong to that world to count.

For example, the current devil invasion wasn’t seen as sothing that could speed up ascension. The devils weren’t part of the ecosystem, after all.

Back to the attack—after a few minutes of atmospheric descent, the spaceship reached its destination.

Monts later, the hatch opened and an army of devils flew out.

"The mission is clear."

One of the devils stepped forward. His deanor was different from the others, his words more distinct—as if he belonged to another category.

Indeed, this devil, despite being only at the peak of Rank S, was in command of the mission.

Not because of any special family ties—after all, the world didn’t work like that. Recomndations were useless without the power to back them.

And the devil standing at the front was a being of subli power, despite holding a lower Rank than the EX Rank devils accompanying him.

What elevated his power was a single Law.

Though he could have evolved it into a concept, the devil— Malrik— had always refused to do so, as if waiting for sothing... sothing like an epiphany.

Still, this was the first ti these devils had been deployed to a low-level world— they were used to far more serious, high-level battles.

But unlike previous tis, where they were rely cannon fodder, this ti they would be the protagonists.

As Malrik began to speak, all attention shifted to him.

"We must capture Cambela. Alive. No mistakes allowed."
